Kenmore Elite 24 in. Elite Built-In Dishwasher w/ Ultra Wash HE Filtration
I spent a lot of time researching for a dishwasher that would be quiet, energy & water efficient, clean well, and rated well by ****************. I initially was going to buy a Bosch, but ended up buying the Kenmore Elite 1312. Bosch recently put out new models and Sears did not have any on the floor (though on website) for me to check out and there was a lengthy wait time for Bosch DW delivery. I did read the reviews on Sears.com about the Kenmore and they were very mixed (unlike reviews on Bosch). Since the Kenmore was rated highly on Consumers Report, I thought I would be fine with it...and...
review »Kenmore 1.2 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave
We bought this microwave on sale on Nov. 1. On Nov. 17 I noticed that the turntable was not turning. I removed the glass turntable and pulled up on the wheeled base. It came right up out of the floor of the microwave. The center post was sheared off at the top of the shaft where the pin from the gear drive fits. I can't imagine what would cause this to happen with normal use. I called the service department and they said I could either take it to a service center for repair or return it to the store since it broke within 90 days of purchase. I will be returning it to the store for another microwave....
review »Samsung 26.5 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator
We looked for a while for the right refrigerator for our family. I rated it "outstanding" because we are very pleased with it so far. Also, our electric bill went down as a result of this new unit. Our old one was a Kenmore and it was 20+ yrs old. This was a really good deal, so we went for it. (Got it for around $800!) We've had it for about 2 months now. We did not have an issue with the ice/water, like other reviews...thought we would, but read the instructions and worked everything out. I couldn't be happier with this unit! It's big, cost efficient, and we have ice/water...
review »Kenmore Elite 24 in. Elite Built-In Dishwasher w/ Ultra Wash HE Filtration
We replaced a ten year old Kitchen Aid DW three months ago with this unit. We really comparison shopped. This was the best value for the dollar. Make sure the space available will match the units specs. Ours did. It is quiet and very efficient and the dishes look superb when they come out.
All we do is hit Smart Wash and hit the start button and we are outta there. We do clean the food off the dishes and pots before we put them in the DW. Also you really want to use a Rinse aid -- This is VERY important. Follow the directions from Kenmore and you will get spotless dishes, silverware and pans....
review »Kenmore 500 3.5 cu. ft. Capacity Top-Load Washer
We replaced a 14 year of Maytag with this unit 2 months ago. The new Washer has many more features and performs beautifuly. We love it.. The option to do small or even very small washes saves a lot of water and detergent. The wash options are excellent and its spin dry is far better than our older Maytag.
Get the installer to make sure to level the unit...and to show you the level bubble. Our install went very well. Unless you have a big family you will find that 3.5 cu. ft. is really big. We have become Kenmore fans.
BTW The 665 serial prefix indicates itis made by Whirlpool. With the...
review »Kenmore Elite Oasis HE 4.7 cu. ft. Capacity Top-Load Washer
I loved this washer until I started getting error codes. I bought an extended warranty. 3 boards were changed on it, shocks were changed on it, a different basket ring was replaced. It also leaked. I had rust on the bottom of the washer and between the top and the body of the washer. My floor is ruined. I need to put in a new floor. However, this washing machine was wonderful when it worked. It blew a board in a storm, and we had trouble ever since. I am getting a new washer, and I chose not to get a second one of these. I recommend this if what we got was a lemon. I hope...
review »Kenmore HE2t 3.7 cu. ft. King Size Capacity Front Load Washer
I have owned this washer for almost 2 years. I use it often, approximately 3 loads per day.I use it for all types of washing(even the greasy clothes of a mechanic)and never have a problem with anything left in the washer to get on the next load. My water bill dropped tremendously. The only problem I have seen which I have been told is common in all front loaders is that you have to wipe the seal down(around the door) after use to prevent mold Other than that I love it!
Samsung 4.0 cu. ft. High Efficiency Front Load Washer
The seal around the door on front-loaders must be water-tight. That's what keeps the water front pouring out the front when it's washing (duh). If you close the door immediately after a wash, the moisture gets trapped by the water-tight seal, allowing mold to form. Leave the door slightly cracked open, it's not difficult to do. Try not to be so lazy about it.
And to the reviewer who leaves wet clothes in the washer for days at a time -- that's just nasty.
Samsung 4.0 cu. ft. High Efficiency Front Load Washer
Couldn't pass this up at the sale price it was being offered at. So far, so good. The Sears delivery guys were friendly and efficient, and took the time to go over the basics of the machine. AND they were actually on time!
The machine is extremely quiet and very easy to operate. One feature I like is that is shows how much time is left in the cycle. My only complaint is that even on the loudest setting, I can't hear the buzzer from upstairs (the machine is in the basement), where I could on my old washer. But given all the other positives, I'm not too concerned about that, since it...
review »Kenmore 18 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Stainless Steel Interior
Glad that it cleans things a bit better than my old machine but it's by no means perfect. I still see stains on dishes sometimes.
Peculiar that the manual doesn't explain anywhere how the time delay works.
Whirlpool Duet HT 4.0 I.E.C. cu. ft. Ultra Capacity Plus Front-Load Washer
We've had our Duet for a little over two years and were just told today that the bearing is shot and the repair would cost over $800. Fortunately, we have a home warranty and its covered but if not, we would be out that much money. The washer did an average job on our clothes. It took a while for me to figure out how to get rid of the funky mildew smell (had to run bleach in the cleaning cycle once a month and only used powder HE detergent) but once I did, I never had the smell problem again. The machine never impressed me and I would not buy another.
Rival 7 qt. Stoneware Slow Cooker w/Bonus Travel Bag
Kenmore 400 5.9 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Dryer
We love this Dryer. We had a much bigger budget for our new dryer but we were confined by small space in a town house. This was a perfect solution.
This unit replaced a 12 years old Maytag. We would advise that you put some kind of felt feet on the unit to help dampen the sound and perhaps some rubber foam next to it if you put it directly next to the washer. It started out a bit loud if allowed to vibrate against a hard object but with a little pre thought - our sound level went way down. It performs beautifully. We never use all the bells and whistles of more expensive units and do...
review »Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven Rotisserie - White
I purchased this Oven maybe a month ago and I haven't been sorry and the reason I can say this is because I own two other that is suppose to be and work just like this one and they don't. I paid a lot more for them than I did for this one, while the other said they would cook the food all the way they didn't, this one will do what it says it will anyone looking to buy a toaster oven buy this one you can't go wrong I love it!!!!!
LG 22.4 cu. ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator
We've had this LG for about a month & love it. It is quiet & roomy; has separate temp controls for fridge & freezer and temp is constant.
