Craftsman NEXTEC 12 Volt Lithium-Ion Hammerhead Auto Hammer

Craftsman NEXTEC 12 Volt Lithium-Ion Hammerhead Auto Hammer

This is a great invention. It is portable and compact and easy to use.  With that said it does have some negatives.  I am a professional roofer, it comes in very handy in tight spaces like under soffits over hangs valleys and chimneys. It works great on firm solid surfaces such as one byes, two byes and half inch or thicker OSB.  It does not however work as well on half inch or thinner plywood.  It does seem a little weak at times and you really have to put a lot of pressure behind it.  I like the quick charge time and the batteries seem to have fairly good run time.

Craftsman 6 Bushel 2 - Bin Hard Bagger for 42" Deck

Craftsman 6 Bushel 2 - Bin Hard Bagger for 42" Deck
mowing the lawn

First, the hard bagger is the way to go.  It is very durable.  I just used it for the first time to clean up an enormous amount of leaves on over half of an acre.  It worked beautifully.  You need to realize that the bins will fill up quickly if you are picking up alot of leaves.  I had to empty it frequently.  However, when I got to sections that had few leaves it went a while without filling up.  Also, as the other reviews say, you will need to unclog the chute after it fills up.  Make sure the mower is off when you do this, as the blade is exposed at the bottom of the chute!!!  I got...

Craftsman YT 3000 21 HP/46" Yard Tractor

Craftsman YT 3000 21 HP/46" Yard Tractor

I've only used the tractor twice but my initial impression is favorable.  Compared to my older Craftsman tractor, it has plenty of power, cuts level and has a comfortable seat.  The hydrostatic transmission is very nice.  I really like how accurately I can control the speed both backwards and forward.  So far so good.

I was somewhat surprised (and disappointed) with my Sears store.  I bought the tractor as a clearance item and asked that they deliver it to my home.  They said as a clearance item that I'm responsible for getting it delivered.  I was shocked when they said they didn't...

Craftsman 30 lb. Wheel Weights

Craftsman 30 lb. Wheel Weights

NOV

Based on another reviewer, I bought new bolts that I could reverse to remove the wheel to check air pressure, but, would not have to fight with the bolts.  This worls very well, and these 30lb wheel weights should give me the added weight I need for traction this winter.

Craftsman 18 In. 42CC Gas Chain Saw

Craftsman 18 In. 42CC Gas Chain Saw

NOV

the saw claims "for occasional use only". I bought what I could afford at the time and it paid for itself very quickly. Three years later it still runs. I cut 12 full cords of firewood with it so far. The air filter is not very good and lets fine dust in around it. Rinse carb often and make sure the foam filter seats as well as it can. When you can afford to, buy a Husqvarna as I did. Craftsman is OK but Husky are still the best. As a young man I made a living with them.

Craftsman 19.2V C3 Impact Wrench Add-On

i am very very impressed with this new unit..i have 5 other C3 tools and have been waiting for a stronger impact than the 1/4" one that has been out.  today i brought it to the junkyard , removed 2 wheels with it then took the huge strut bolts out and the a arm bolts out on a mustang.  those of you that have done this know they require alot of power.  this was all done on a Lithium battery witch i might consider a must with this 1/2" gun

buy and you will no regret! it is about time!

Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Nailer

Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Nailer
ease of use

NOV

2009

I ordered the Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Nailer, because it always seems that I can not get my large or small hammer into tight spaces without being a huge chore.  The auto hammer can be a bit awkward when you have to hold the nail for the first hit, but, once the nail is started, it works very well.

Craftsman 3 gal. Air Compressor, 1 hp, Horizontal Tank

Craftsman 3 gal. Air Compressor, 1 hp, Horizontal Tank

I've had mine four years.  All the good things I agree with.  By looking at things, it appears to me that the unit itself is well designed.  Put together?  that appears to be another story...  Most of the issues with this are that it broke.  When they worked before they broke people were OK with it.  I believe a little quality assurance on the assemly lines could improve customer satisfaction.  People appear to like the unit just not how its put together Sears, why don't you contact your subcontractor and indicate you aren't happy with their quality control...  This is one where that cheap...

Craftsman Motorcycle/ATV Jack

Craftsman Motorcycle/ATV Jack

NOV

2009

I bought the Craftsman Motorcyle/ATV Jack to use with my lawn tractor and nini-pontoon boat.  The instructions to assembly get vague, but, was still ready to go in about 20 minutes.  The problem is in the weld where the red handle connects to the main assembly.  If you try to use the red handle to manuever the jack on rough ground, or too often on a hard flat surface, it will break off.  I have decided that I need the extenders for a hiher lift.

Craftsman CompuCarve Computer-Controlled Compact Woodworking Machine

Unfortunately, I was one of the countless consumers that bought into the hype about this so-called amazing machine.  Was I wrong.  I have spent dozens of hours on the phone with tech support trying to get this machine to work properly.  I have wasted far too much time trying to get this machine fix, and far too much money on what turned out to be scrap wood for my fireplace.  They actually sent me someone else's repaired machine as a replacement for my defective machine, instead of a new one!  Even after sending the machine back 3 times for repair, it works for maybe 2 or 3 projects...

Craftsman 1/2 hp Garage Door Opener, Chain Drive

Craftsman 1/2 hp Garage Door Opener, Chain Drive

2009

Bought the 149.99 opener with the 2 remotes and wireless exterior key pad. Got the old opener down and put the the craftsman opener together  in approximately  a couple hours, read and reread the instructions several times, the instructions are very clear even helped me to fix an imbalance in the door. If you don't know how to wind/unwind tension in the dual springs get a pro to do it ther is enough force in them to very seriuosly injure and could possibly kill any way.  The opener went up very easy I just mounted where the old one was took about 45 minutes to do that being careful again.

worked...

Avoid this jack like the plague!  I have it and like everyone else, it leaks and now is just a huge paperweight!  Its dangerous and I will need a new jack to replace it.  Ive had it a little over a year so warranty has expired.  I've lifted the car about 10 times.  Avoid it!

Craftsman C3 19.2 volt Cordless Combo Kit with RA Drill

Craftsman C3 19.2 volt Cordless Combo Kit with RA Drill
a DIYer

NOV

I use these drills in remodelling my large kitchen. They are great for heavy work as well as light. I like them so much I bought an additional set plus extra batteries since I use them all day and I don't have to change bits. The price is right & the quality is there. The cordless drills are especially convenient for putting down backerboard & installing my kitchen cabinets. Since one drill has a variable torque and the other is a right angle drill they are always ready to go. I am a 69 year old woman. I have many Craftsman power and hand tools. I am even teaching my husband how to use them....
