Craftsman NEXTEC 12 Volt Lithium-Ion Hammerhead Auto Hammer

This is a great invention. It is portable and compact and easy to use.  With that said it does have some negatives.  I am a professional roofer, it comes in very handy in tight spaces like under soffits over hangs valleys and chimneys. It works great on firm solid surfaces such as one byes, two byes and half inch or thicker OSB.  It does not however work as well on half inch or thinner plywood.  It does seem a little weak at times and you really have to put a lot of pressure behind it.  I like the quick charge time and the batteries seem to have fairly good run time.

I use these drills in remodelling my large kitchen. They are great for heavy work as well as light. I like them so much I bought an additional set plus extra batteries since I use them all day and I don't have to change bits. The price is right & the quality is there. The cordless drills are especially convenient for putting down backerboard & installing my kitchen cabinets. Since one drill has a variable torque and the other is a right angle drill they are always ready to go. I am a 69 year old woman. I have many Craftsman power and hand tools. I am even teaching my husband how to use them....

The saddle is way too small, the quick lift doesn't save a bit of work since you have to pump the handle quite a bit more than my old Sears professional jack once the saddle reaches the frame. Every time I pull the jack, the handle quick release lets go and the jack rolls down the driveway...

I had a Craftsman Professional jack for years and years... I used it regularly for over twenty years. I loved it, but it finally quit on me. I didn't even look anywhere else, I just went down to Sears and bought another Professional jack... It's a mistake I won't make again. I hate this jack.

I've had this...

I have used this drill for at least 3 years and find it outstanding. It's great for what I use it for, which is projects around the house. The price is very reasonable. I like having two batteries so that I can always complete the job and the flashlight is nice too, although I really haven't needed it. I'm buying another one as a Christmas present for my son.

Craftsman 10 in. Table Saw, Portable

FWIW, I have been an avid woodworker for 35 years. Here's a tip for table saw newbies - If you need a "super accurate" saw, stop looking at bench top style saws or anything else where the blade is mounted directly onto the motor. Direct drive will NEVER be "super" accurate. Pretty good? Sure, a well made, adjusted, and maintained direct drive saw CAN be pretty good. This one falls into that category. Keep it clean and double check your adjustments and you can do very nice work with this machine. Fail to perform proper maintenance... all bets are off.

Having said that, I've had this saw for a few...

Folks, the customer service I received was great! I was too early for the, "Friends & Family" automatic 10% off. The Sears rep told me to not buy this Open box item and to come back at 6:00 pm to save 10%. Ok I said. Went back and brought the unit home. Tightened down all the screws to make sure they were snug. Filled with oil, air filter installed, fired up and went to pressure cut-off. Not too loud. UPS is picking up my Allpower APC 4028 return sometime in the morning. Fired it up and it could not hold air. All Power manufacturer sent me a new safety air release...I installed it to only find...

I have had this torque wrench for about 3 years, and have had no problems with it.  I have used it all over my car: from rebuilding the front end to torquing the lug nuts.  This was a huge upgrade from my old meter style torque wrench, it is nice to have it click when the proper torque is reached.  Ratcheting is also a huge plus.  Recommended!

Worked great until the locking ring broke. Sears store saleman said that precision tools aren't covered under warranty. Probably the last Craftsman tool I'll buy. Their warranty isn't what it used to be.

Bought this drill to replace my six year old craftman 16.8 volt drill.  The drill fits in the hand comfortably and the chuck angles works well for hard to set screws.  The 1/2 chuck is nice but I seldom use a bit larger than 3/8. The batteries charge quick and last a couple of full days before needing recharge.  I like the bubble level on the back of the drill for drilling perpendicular. I would recommend this drill because the price is right, the drill works like it should, and it comes with two batteries and a quick charger.

For quick and easy dirt pickup it's hard to beat this handy vacuum. No need to carry a large vacuum and it's cordless too. No wires to tangle. Would be nice if they would have made an adapter to attach a small hose for detail work on cars or hard to reach areas. I was surprised that the local Sears store didn't stock the vac filter. Gotta order it online and wait for arrival of it.

This saw is a workhorse on the cheap.  It does have a narrow table and is easy to tip, but it has held up over the 5+ years I've owned it.

I purchased this set when I was looking for a router with a bit more "oomph" than the 1 1/2HP Dewalt DW-610 I had in my router table. I really like routers with rack and pinion depth adjustments vs. rotating collars, so this model won out. Getting a plunge base as part of the package was icing on the cake. The supplied case holds the motor, both bases, chuck wrench, and the supplied edge guide.

I haven't mounted the router in the table yet, but I have used it for a furniture building project as a handheld unit. The soft start feature gives the operator much more control as the motor doesn't...

Craftsman 1 hp. 12 gal. Portable Air Compressor

Craftsman 1 hp. 12 gal. Portable Air Compressor

NOV

2009

I bought this compressor mainly for blowing dust out of computers and other electronics.  It's okay for this function but I don't think it could handle any air tools.  It takes about 10 minutes for it to fill from completely empty and its recovery time is approximately 90 seconds (if your not using any air at the time). (Turns on at about 85psi and shuts off around 110psi)  If you are drawing any air during recovery, the pump cannot keep up.

It's loud.  Not as loud as a diaphragm compressor, but it's not quiet like the tag in the store suggests.  You cannot have a converstaion next to it while...

I have a compressor that my Father bought WAYYYY back in 1965.  It is a Craftsman with a 3/4 HP motor and a 15 gallon tank if I am not mistaken.  I have used it to Paint cars, use air tools, Sandblast..a miriad of uses..and it never once gave out on me..still runs great.  I bought this one due to the Quality of the old one.  I figured I could use a new compressor in the Garage just in case the old one ever dies.  I have used this new one for about 8 hours total time now and have no problems other than the pressure regulator went a bit crazy.  It seemed to drop down in PSI with every use last...
