Ipod is basically a brand of MP3 player. It does basically the same features of any MP3 Player. Apple's iTunes makes it easy to buy songs movies and TV shows and then put them onto your iPod. MP3 players vary, and while some are fairly easy to get music onto it, others are not. Also the iPod is the easiest to use. I have owned one for almost tow years, and I now recommend almost all of  Apple's products because of their easy to use and have great service, including Ipod, Mac, and The Iphone. (But I hate At&T's bad coverage)

If you're a Sears employee, you are NOT allowed to use an MP3 player in the store.

How is this pertinent to the question asked?  Ridiculous

I would go IPod over MP3's because you have a broad spectrum of things you can do on the IPod by downloading from the Apps store where there are literally thousands of different applications you can choose from as opposed to Mp3's which usually limits you incredibly. Now if you are looking for just something to listen to you music on as you run in the morning or just listen to music alone then Mp3 is the way to go. It does not make sense to me for you to pay money to do more when you truly are looking for less and have no intent on doing more.  Just my opinion.  Also I would go strictly Apple/Mac with everything, I say that cause thats what I have done, except for my phone I am a Palm guy so I have the Pre. Raymond you are right about the coverage of AT&T, take it from a former employee that actually likes the company overall, the coverage is weak! Adam LOL, that was funny cause when I read it I was like, humm what does that have to do with this subject.  Then I though, he looks like a seasoned gentleman so maybe he is just being funny.

I'm with you GMalone! You too Rayman! I love iPods because of their versatility, features and ease of use. But if you don't need all the extras that the iPod offers then just go with the MP3 player. I love and own Apple products and I have an iPhone which I dearly love, but I do wish that I could have a choice of carriers other than AT&T. If that ever happens, bye bye AT&T!!!

I think Apple pretty much told Verizon persay, when they announced the iPad with AT&T 3G coverage only that they have no plans to use another carrier.

I have a Zune HD.  It 100 times better than the original Zune's.  I can pick up HD radio stations and access the internet on it.

The reason Sears dont allow their employees the use of mp3 players is because, duh! ur suppose to b working and helping customers not listening to music.
