maintaince

New
Idea_tail_up posted on February 02, 2012 at 08:49PM to Suggestions for New Products

Lawnmowers and other items need regular maintaince.  Maybe email customers with prices for parts/items needed on a regular basis.  Ex fuel filters, etc. for lawnmowers.  It would help the consumer remember to buy items that are needed and increase your sales in parts

sales asso. check list on appliance sales

Idea_tail_up posted on January 31, 2012 at 08:37AM to General Customer Service

as a service tech for a gas company ive seen several times when doing a gas conversion on products sold by mass marketers that the sales asso. didnt ask the buyer if they needed a gas conversion kit or a shut off vale or other parts if your sales asso. had a check list or parts or extras that could be sold with specific appliances it might mean more sales and it certainly would mean less agrivation for the buyer or a service tech having to drive back to store to purchase parts that could have been...

A new trend is the growing interest in the Hobby of Cowboy Action shooting and Historical re-enactment.In this vein then, many people have a growing interest in  reproduction of historical and accurate copies of Black Powder Firearms. Damaged goods

Idea_tail_up posted on January 29, 2012 at 06:18PM to In-Home Service & Repair
There should be a better way to get satisfaction when you have a problem, a service tech was at my house for a fridge I bought that was damaged, he was on the phone with Sears at my house for 45 minutes, he got no where, he left, I still have a damaged fridge.

you should have free shipping

Idea_tail_up posted on January 29, 2012 at 02:47PM to Pricing & Policies

you should offer free shipping on merchandise for people who spend $50.00 or more. your shipping on merchandise is pretty ridiculous.Walmart offers .96 cents on shipping for mostly everything. I don't think I would order online from you guys anymore because I paid out like $20 for shipping on 3 items. i will still shop in store but that will probably be it unless your shipping becomes cheaper. well thank you for your time.

Sears and KMart...a little confusing at times

Idea_tail_up posted on January 28, 2012 at 07:07PM to Pricing & Policies

I don't know about anyone else, but I am not sure exactly how points are earned with the Rewards card.  Do you accumulate points at both places? Also, cross marketing is very confusing.  Either they are associated and you can use same card and rewards card, or you can't...which is it?

more benches

Idea_tail_up posted on January 26, 2012 at 10:37PM to Store Experiences

In the shoe department.  I dread when my wife visits the shoe department and she finds an available bench because she ends up buying 3 or more pairs of shoes. On the other hand, if there´s no place to sit and try on she goes next door to the payless store and buys there. I don´t know why because there aren´t any seats there, go figure. I don´t like payless- cheap shoes.

Kmart/Sears website use

Idea_tail_up posted on January 25, 2012 at 01:52PM to Online Experiences
I find that your websites are difficult to use at times & a bit misleading..I was searching for NFL NY Giants gear last night & intended on using my points to purchase it. When I finally found the one I wanted for the right price (after about an hour of searching your site) I went to purchase it & was redirected to another website. The item I found was NOT a sears product! When I went to make the purchase I was unable to use my reward points. Today I went into the store to try to find something &...

Encourage staff to inform customers of points balance

Idea_tail_up posted on January 25, 2012 at 01:15PM to Promotions & Discounts
I am a faithful Kmart/Sears shopper but only since I learned about earning points. I have had a rewards card for years but it wasnt until recently that I learned exactly how it works. I was under the assumption I wouldn't get the sales without the card which is why I opened one. A few months back, the cashier told me I had $60 available to spend within 2 days. I was blown away!! I asked her to explain this to me. When she told me every time I spend money I earn points which convert into $$ to spend...

Encourage the Sales Staff

Idea_tail_up posted on January 25, 2012 at 10:30AM to Store Experiences
The sales staff can directly influence a lot of purchases in the tool dept, if they would point out and highlight their sales items or pick a particular product for the day or week and focus on pushing that item. Plus selling works well too. I didn't say pressure selling, but plus selling. Plus selling is where a customer picks an item to purchase & the sales staff sees what you are purchasing and offers or makes suggestions for items that would compliment that particular tool or item. Example: you...

Dolls and Action Figures that remember simple phrases

Idea_tail_up posted on January 25, 2012 at 02:18AM to Suggestions for New Products

Remember those dolls that kids would talk too and it would repeat back, or echo the phrase the child had just said. What if there was a doll or action figure that stored phrases and would give an appropriate reply to a child's question or statement, like..."Thank you"..."You're Welcome", "Hello, how are you?"..."I'm fine",etc. Anybody know if Sears or K-Mart sells these? What are they called?

What ever happened to escalators?

Idea_tail_up posted on January 25, 2012 at 01:29AM to Other Involvement Ideas

When I was a kid, every Sears store where I lived had an escalator. You don't see them much anymore, kind of like the Sears "Wish Book". I think they're an underrated conveyance.

Points don't count to be considered for idea review.....

Idea_tail_up posted on January 21, 2012 at 02:31PM to General Customer Service

I think we should do away with voting for"ideas." Some are being considered for review without being voted on.

What does voting actually do as an end result here?
