There is nothing that says cutting edge more than walking into a Sears store and seeing the Video loop showing movies and events that have already happened. Last year i saw a Indiana Jones movie trailer for the movie starting in theaters in may and the disc was already out on bluray.

The loops are changed every few months. It could just be that they hadn't changed the loop in a timely fashion. With the amount of money advertisers spend on their commercials on those loops, there is great incentive for the stores to keep the loops current.

I totally agree with you, Sears loops are always old and even not the best quality. My local Sears store uses a fancy upscaling DVD player (which is fine, blu-ray would be a bit TOO much) to give us our video feed, but its all hooked up through coaxial cables... (archaic connection type) it will be worth upgrading to HDMI on all the Tv's. The feeds also need to relay products Sears actually SELLS and is known for. Most of the advertisements in our loop are for movies we don't have, games we don't carry, and products that only our competitors carry.
