Discussions for the better

I am a Lead at my local Sears store.  Since I have been a member of this community, I have been fortunate enough to see some of the customers and problems they face, and how they think when they come into the stores.  It has changed my perception of some things.  I have become more aware of how my actions affect their experiences.  I read some of these comments and think "I'm glad that didn't happen at my store" It is in my opinion that all members of management at all levels should at least look into the Discussion boards once a day and see some of the comments/problems customers post, if not sign up and reply.  I think that would create a positive buzz about making ourselves better.

Thank you for your observations. This is a good idea for all businesses. Our town is trying to get local businesses to look at their own business through the eyes of the customers. Is your parking lot clean and free of trash? Do your cart returns occupy multiple parking places because they have slid? Are your windows clean? Is your landscaping attractive and regularly maintained? Are your shopping carts in good condition? Is your sign clean and attractive? Do your employees give pleasant service and thank customers for shopping at your business? Little things mean a lot.
