Inappropriate?

Have a pamphlet or DVD explaining and demonstrating techniques of common tool useage, routine maintenance and restoration.

Maybe not as many tools would be returned, if more owners new how to take better care of them?

I'm with you. Manuals never get read, but if there was a little card, maybe 3x5, that had basic tool maintenance tips (WD-40, cleaning, storage), it would probably keep more tools sold, or cut down on lost customers down the line who ignorantly did things that caused their tools to fail prematurely.
