I've noticed a lot of Sears stores in more rural areas could use a makeover. Updating the look may help keep Sears feeling fresh and in touch with the times.

People love Sears and even those of us who have shopped there for years realize that the store atmosphere can uplift or depress and Sears depresses. The temperature of the store is often warm, Birmingham Galleria store this past Saturday. the monotone look of the stores needs to be updated. Sears is located in prominent locations of many cities and shoppers are desperate for a stable company that looks modern and is a pleasure to shop. Sears in Tuscaloosa is in the major mall. There is only one large dept store besides sears and you are missing a huge opportunity not to make this store a showcase in soft lines, too.

It is something dreary about most Sears stores. It may be the arrangement of the clothes,I don't know! I can tell you K-Mart's clothes look more expensive than Sears'. Sears reminds me of a consignment shop.

I FEEL THE SAME, MOST EVERY SEARS I HAVE BEEN IN ARE VERY DRAB LOOKING AND WHEN YOU WALK IN , YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOK AROUND YOU JUST GET WHAT YOU CAME FOR AND LEAVE. NEEDS A NEW LIFT SO WHEN PEOPLE WALK IN THEY ARE LIKE WOW, I LOVE THIS STORE AND WANT 1 OF EVERYTHING IN IT. TERI/KY

We need to pay the CEO over two million dollars a year, and the rest of the board over a million apiece. The corporate just can't afford things like store makeovers...

Sears needs UPDATING!! Every Appliance department needs to be like the ones in the commercials. Ultra clean, modern look. Every Electronics Department needs to be popping with color, kinda like the Best Buy stores (minus the warehouse feel). Softline's can take notes from EVERYONE!! (The Limited, Belk Clothing, Macys, Express Clothing, American Eagle Clothing, Fossil, etc, etc)

Agree on all the above points. What are some small changes people have noticed at the stores lately? I went to the local Sears and noticed they have placed some of their light blue glossy promo stuff around here and there. The doors also have some stickers with the icons for the website and shop2go, and whatnot. As small as that is, I think it is a step toward modernizing. Anything too fast and it may not work as desired.

The Sears in Clarksville IN is very dreary. I have not been back since July of this year and @ that time the entrance/exit doors from the rear parking lot were closed off with paper lining the window portion of the doors that leads to the children's section. After traveling from another entrance we made our way to the girls dept. I tell you, it was junky. The dressing room was a mess. Finally after shifting thru clothing my daugther made her decisions on what she wanted to purchase so we made our way to the check out. The check out process was horrible. One station with 2 workers and several customers standing in line. That day was so frustrating.
