Damaged goods

Idea_tail_up posted on January 29, 2012 at 06:18PM to In-Home Service & Repair
There should be a better way to get satisfaction when you have a problem, a service tech was at my house for a fridge I bought that was damaged, he was on the phone with Sears at my house for 45 minutes, he got no where, he left, I still have a damaged fridge.

Rate your Sears Service Technician

Idea_tail_up posted on January 18, 2012 at 08:26AM to In-Home Service & Repair

I would like to see our Sears Service Techs get a professional rating after completion of the appointment .  I recently had a tech show up who could not find the tool he needed in his company van and his service van looked like he had just returned from a junk yard.   I have never seen anyoine so disorganized  that worked in a professional capacity.  His van was a mess on the outside and looked like he just came from the first 30 seconds of the demolition derby. His superior knows he dresses...

Let the repair man swipe your SYWR card

Idea_tail_up posted on November 28, 2011 at 07:54PM to In-Home Service & Repair

I had to call with the receipt number to get credit for the repair.  He/she should be able to add the credit when he/she comes out to the house, just like at the store.

GE Profile Refrigerator Clicking

Idea_tail_up posted on June 20, 2011 at 12:42PM to In-Home Service & Repair
I bought a GE Profile bottom freezer refrigerator six years ago from Sears Canada. Model# PDS22SBSALSS Twice in the past week I've been hearing a double-click sound coming from the back of the appliance and lasting about twenty minutes. The temperature digital reading does not work during and afterwards for a spell but eventually seems to return to normal. Any idea what could be the problem? Could it be a fuse of some sort? Everything else seems to be working. No one I telephoned at Sears or at...

Idea_tail_up posted on June 04, 2011 at 08:03AM to In-Home Service & Repair

I recently had an AC unit serviced, when I called in for the app't they gave me 8 a.m. to noon. The tech needed to access my attic for this service, being over 90 for days and the attic was going to be very hot I told the person making the app't that it would be better earlier rather than later due to the heat. I did get a phone call from tech saying he was on his way would be another hour by this time it was noon time. He arrived and had to go into the attic at the hotest time of the day! Thenhis...

More Sears repair specialists in rural areas

Idea_tail_up posted on October 23, 2010 at 01:40PM to In-Home Service & Repair

In bigger citys you can get service the next day.  Here where I live you can get service for appliances Tuesdays or Fridays.  So sometimes it takes a week.  Service for Lawn Care is Fridays only.  More Sears repair people more happy customers.

Sears Heating and Cooling System Comparison Information

Idea_tail_up posted on September 18, 2010 at 03:01PM to In-Home Service & Repair

We have recently gone through the process of getting quotes for a new Heating and Cooling System. Our Sears Consultant was knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the process. One thing that could be helpful is if you added a System Comparison Guide or Resource. Like buying insurance, it seems to be very challenging to feel well educated to make a good decision, which many times I beleive people will choose low cost over best value.

Hire more technicians

Idea_tail_up posted on September 17, 2010 at 09:29PM to In-Home Service & Repair

It would be wonderful if you hire more technicians to fix the appliances. Those guys are always overbooked. This will make things easier for us and them.

Sears Repair Shop

Idea_tail_up posted on July 26, 2010 at 10:22PM to In-Home Service & Repair

Sear has closed to many repair shops. If you purchase a service plan, you must travel so far to leave you item. wait a week until it is fixed. It unfair to pay for something and then use your gas and thats if you have transportation. They need to except repairs at all sear locations

Service

Idea_tail_up posted on July 08, 2010 at 02:20PM to In-Home Service & Repair

Sears has to get on the ball on there service work!!! We have to wait way to long to get a product serviced in home and at many locations, about 21 days for service is not going to keep your customerscoming back. I for one will probably not buy anything that will need a warranty service from Sear again because of the BAD service times you provide.

Lawn Equipment Repair and Service

Idea_tail_up posted on June 04, 2010 at 04:07PM to In-Home Service & Repair

Years ago Sears had a Service which came to your home and serviced your Lawn Equipment such as your mower. That program was discontinued and you now have to bring your equipment to a repair center. I live 25 miles from the nearest repair center. They in turn send the mower to Orlando Florida. I live in Land O Lakes Florida. When the mower comes back I have to drive again to pick it up. I have a Kmart 3 miles from my home. Why can't I drop it off at the Kmart?

Minimum 1 year warranty on all replaced parts

Idea_tail_up posted on May 29, 2010 at 12:53PM to In-Home Service & Repair

When a part is replaced under warranty, it should have a minimum 1 year warranty, not just the remainder of the original warranty as is current Sears policy. The current policy does not allow for defects of replaced parts if original warranty is near the end of the original warranty period.

Doens't Service generally impy a forward motion toward a resolution??????

Idea_tail_up posted on May 01, 2010 at 07:18AM to In-Home Service & Repair

WOW, I have burned over 2 hours on the phone with customer service and can honestly say I am no closer to a resolutoin than when I started. By the way, this is on a refridgerator that is about 24 hours old as I type this. Oh yeah, and it is the second fridge in 72 hours. The only reason it got changed out that quick is because our AMAZING salesperson, Kathy Loman, made it happen.  IDEA---- Tell your CSRs to just call the salesman if the CSR is in a place where they can't initiate a resolution....point...

vacuum cleaner

Idea_tail_up posted on April 27, 2010 at 02:06PM to In-Home Service & Repair

we need a vacuum repairs center in more areas. They recently took out the Manchester, nh repair center.  What is the sense of getting insurance, if you are not there for us.  How far do I have to travel? 25 miles?  We need to have repairs centers in more areas.

Service Availability

Idea_tail_up posted on March 15, 2010 at 09:00PM to In-Home Service & Repair

You need to upgrade the time frame for service on freezers and refrigerators that are down. Too many times I have called and the statement was that it will be five to seven days for a service tech to arrive. Well this does NOT make me a repeat customer. It is an area that needs improvement. I am willing to pay for the expedited need.
