Sears Community Garden Tips

Idea_tail_up posted on February 07, 2012 at 05:49PM to Social Responsibility

By having garden tips and connecting to Amazon.com for great garden books, Sears can expand their community by sharing their customers garden ideas, just like Mother Earth News or Organic Gardening magazines by using the Sears Community online.  We are using a new Sears Rear Tine Tiller to put in new raised garden beds by getting the hard ground ready by tilling and leveling the area, putting in straw bales in place, and using bungee cords to keep them in place, fill with dirt, compost, and heirloom...

Grow A TickleMe Plant

Idea_tail_up posted on January 16, 2012 at 08:11AM to Social Responsibility

Sears should consider giving away packets of TickleMe Plant seeds to anyone that buys a green product. Growing the plant that moves and closes its leaves when Tickled is an easy way to show that sears is green. The TickleMe Plant can be grown indoors year round. It is a fun way to excite kids about plants and nature and even science. They will always remember growing their first TickleMe Plant and where they got it from. I found it at sears.com and also here

Graphic Content PLEASE Verifying Photos before they are posted.

Idea_tail_up posted on January 06, 2012 at 09:18AM to Social Responsibility
The other day while I was on here I had to flag a photo that was on the bottom of my homepage due to graphic content. With this being a family friendly site there is no need for on the most recent photos uploaded to be naked body parts on my page. Would someone please verify the content before posting is allowed especially on the public areas?

Gift Card Left Over Balance

Idea_tail_up posted on December 28, 2011 at 02:03PM to Social Responsibility

Sears should be  the leader on this Idea. Sometimes there is a few cents left on a gift card it would be nice to pick a local place that works with children and have people donate their remaining balance right at the cash register. Let's say Sears in Salisbury MD picks Cedar Chapel Special School in Snow Hill MD to donate to,  other stores throught the United States could do the same for their area. I believe that this would benifit all.  Joe Fox

Foster care

Idea_tail_up posted on December 22, 2011 at 12:45PM to Social Responsibility

Our close friends just took in a beautiful 1 year old little girl.  She is 16 pounds and cannot walk.  I feel so bad for her.  Our friends don't have much money and have 4 kids of thier own.  My family and I will be buying Christmas gifts for this precious little girl.

My idea is to show her love.  Something she has never felt before, i'm sure.

Email Solicitations

Idea_tail_up posted on December 09, 2011 at 11:41PM to Social Responsibility

I just had to unsubscriber from Kmart email solicitations... I started receiving them without ever logging into the Kmart sight... In my Sears.com profile under my Contact Preferences none of the Kmart stuff was ever "check"... I wouldn't have minded so much as to receiving them but I have gotten blasted with three of them in just over a 24 hour period... Once, twice a week, fine but give me a break... And all of them were of recent things that I have looked at at Sears.com... I don't know about...

Buying Power

Idea_tail_up posted on October 19, 2011 at 05:35PM to Social Responsibility

Just some food for thought to anyone who would like to read it.

Instead of running out to the store and buying items..... take some time to study what it is your looking to buy and see if it is actually going to fit your needs as well as being cost effective for your money.... example ok i am going to buy a new car..... how much is it going to cost me to buy the tags what is the insurance going to cost me does it need any work before it will be safe to drive.... how do other people who have this...

Going Green / Recycling

Idea_tail_up posted on September 23, 2011 at 08:02PM to Social Responsibility
Products now days are full of post consumer wastes that can and should be recycled. Why not offer a discount and / or free haul away incentative? Products that have no recycle value like freon needs to be contained instead of being put into the environment. It just makes good sense from a business and a planet perspective. I personally am more likely to purchase from a place that recycles my old products even if there is no monetary incentive for me.

Made in the USA

Idea_tail_up posted on June 23, 2011 at 03:20PM to Social Responsibility

I think Sears/Kmart should set and new goal and marketing campaign.  The theme is Made in the USA.  It will go like this.  America we believe in You.  Over the next 5 years Sears/Kmart has set a goal to have 50% of the products sold in out stores will be labeled Made in the USA.  Our products may cost a little more, but you will know you are doing your part to get America back to work.  Together we can do this.  The campaign is endless from there.  Talk about the number of jobs created if...
