Staff at the Sears Store

I shop at Sears during the week, when there aren't so many people at the mall.  It was hard to find someone to help me in the vacuum, luggage, household goods area?  I think a few more good employees would benefit the store.  Especially the one in Westminster CO!!

It would be great to have a price scanner in every department so that I could find out how much things cost before I bring them up to the register.

I think it would be nice for there to be more associates available to assist me while shopping...actually, if there were ANY to assist me, that'd be so awesome!  Maybe the extra cashiers could take a few moments to walk through the store when they're not assisting customers, and see if there are any shoppers that look like they could use assistance!

Too Many Questions!

Everytime I shop at Sears or Kmart, it seems as though the cashier is asking me if I am interested in signing up for a credit card, if I want to join the Craftsman Club, or if I want to take a survey.  It is too much when what I really want is to get home and watch "Lost".  I understand it is part of their job, and these are good programs.  Just a suggestion- only one question at checkout?  That I can deal with.

More Sale Associate and Correct Pricing on Signs

I use to work at Sears and we never have enough sale associate to cover the store.   I think there should be a sale associate for every department.  I worked in ladies apparel and by the time I left there I could sale a craftsmen tractor.  Another thing was the pricing the signs where never right to match up with the ads that came out on Sundays.  The fitting room needs to have an attendant with numbers for each dressing room.  You give the customer the number for the room and the attendant check...

Please, Please, have more than one cashier and customer service checking people out.  This seems to be a pattern at every K-Mart I've visited (except at Christmas).

Most K-mart has a big waiting line at check out, I have seen some people walk out because of this so I think you put in self check out and more crashers.

Also bring back your blue light specials

Offer a customer service desk and a check out area—keep them separate

I’m not the most decisive person when I shop but when I finally do make a decision to buy something I need to make a fast getaway before I change my mind again. It doesn’t help when there is a delay at the checkout lines.

Dresses Should they stay or go

I think that sears should keep the dresses after Easter because the prom season, wedding season and graduation season.  The dresses should be available because this is the season.  My daughter is graduating from kindergartens and it was so hard to find her a dress.  Sears had some beautiful dresses but they were only in white. Just something to think about.

Made in America, a new product line or perhaps, as long as we're imagining, Craftsman, Kenmore and Diehard. What I believe Sears needs is a national marketing theme for American made products. Sure, sell the imports but at whatever the expense, offer an exclusive product line that represents American capital, handiwork and design.  And a no-frills, non-profit Sears card at 10%.

More cashiers!

I fully agree that there should be more than one (1) cashier at the registers. At least on the weekends. We try to shop during the week but sometimes we come in on the weekends and they are swamped. So swamped the poor woman accidentally charged us twice for the same shirt that totaled to an extra $46.84. She was very polite and understanding as so were we. She was swamped! Not to mention tired from a long day of ahrd work! Just a suggestion. We love Sears though!

Womens Jeans in Long

Why can't I get "long" jeans in women's at Sears? I know I can get them (when in stock) at Kmart, but I can't at Sears. With Lane Bryant closing many of their store's you should be seeing more customers looking for "long" pants in women's sizes.

I work at Sears and find that Sears waste alot of money printing too many signs that get thrown away...Hundreds of signs go in the Garbage that is a wase of paper ink that equals Money in the trash. All sears has to do is put up a sign that says take off 10 15 20 % etc. regular price, and or specify which Items are effected. This requires only about e.g. in appliance 10 stratigically placed signs, instead of hundreds of sign changes, that waste time, paper ink and confusion that equates to saving...

Offer Layaway at all Kmart stores

I don’t always shop at the same Kmart but I do always like to use their layaway. I think it’s a little odd that not all Kmart’s have layaway. Is this the decision of the individual stores? If all Kmart’s were to have layaway it begins to establish a new and improved and streamlined reputation for the company. Plus it makes shopping easier for customers.
