We are so excited for this month because all of our favorite shows are starting up. Here are the top 10 shows that are on our line up:
We're suckers for a girl spy who can kick butt in four-inch heels and maintain perfect hair at the same time. This show starts the gorgeous Maggie Q (Last seen in "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Mission Impossible 3") as a trained assassin, looking for revenge on the very agency that trained her (and killed her true love). It's pure eye-candy, loads of fun, full of intrigue and suspense, and definitely inspiring (i.e. we want to take martial arts, for sure!). Side note: we think Nikita makes for a great dog name, too!
In its third season, Blair and Elle are back and chicer than ever. If anything, it's worth watching for the wardrobe, which is a little more grown up and sophisticated and full of must-haves by designers like Marchesa, Isabel Marant, J. Mendel, and other sartorial royalty. The first few eps were steamy and scandalous - Chuck trying to disappear, only to return to NY with a new girl in tow; Dan and Vanessa back together; mysterious new blond on the arm of Nate and waiting to reveal what her real agenda is. We want more! xoxo
The second season marks the return of Catherine and the unveiling of Caroline as a baby vampire. Werewolves are coming. Witches are witchier than ever. And Damon and Stefan are hotter than ever. It's the perfect blend of Gossip Girl meets True Blood. If you missed the first season, catch up online now - it's delicious. The CW is really knocking it out of the park these days!
Think you have what it takes to be on the Hellcats cheer squad? Marti Perkins sure does! This fun and feisty show follows the rebellious Marti Perkins, a former gymnast who upon loss of her scholarship, is forced to become a college cheerleader in order to pursue her law degree. Ashley Tisdale jazzes up the show with her role as Savannah Monroe, the ultra-preppy cheer captain who loves to hate Marti and doesn’t want her anywhere near her squad but must relinquish control in order to win a championship title. With this show you will enjoy the hottest songs, trendy fashions, and all that television drama you love oh-so-much!
“In your face, girl with a negative tattoo,” This show is known for it’s hilarious one-liners and outrageous yet relatable characters. In the style of a “mockumentary,” this show follows three “modern” families. Not always conventional but will always leave you chuckling to yourself after the show. Season two starts out with Claire and Phil cleaning out their old family car. They take the car on a nostalgic joyride and the car falls down a ditch. Mitchell takes pride in his craftsmanship skills only to get trapped in the princess castle he was building! Manny lets his date write in his journal and Gloria becomes the overtly overprotective mother. Watch this show and you will fall in love with these characters!
NBC’s latest addition to must see TV Thursday is “Outsourced,” a new office comedy about a Midwestern Manager, Todd, who is relocated to Mumbai, India. His job is to run a call center for Mid America Novelties, a company that sells everything from fake vomit to cheese hats (check out this week’s specials here: http://www.nbc.com/outsourced/mid-america-novelties. Todd is given a B-list team of misfits to work with; the American and Indian cultures clash, causing confusion. Cue laughter. He also meets other ex-patriots, like Australian hottie Tonya who runs a call center for Koala Air…are they the next Jim and Pam? We’ll have to watch to find out!
Season two of the hit series Glee is living up to it reputation. Episode two, better known as The Britney Spears episode is getting a lot of buzz. There is a new dentist at school and it is none other Jon Stamos. He is most popularly known for his role as the heartthrob uncle Jessie from Full house. The Britney/Brittany episode is a mash-up of Britney Spears video remakes. All the nostalgic Britney moments come rushing back when Brittany, Heather Morris, goes into an anesthetic induced dream sequence where she sings, “I’m a Slave For You” to Jon Stamos. This episode is really her time to shine. She is an incredible dancer and the costumes are amazing!
“My Generation” is the latest “mockumentary” to hit the airwaves, following a group of Texan high school seniors and then catching up with the class ten years after graduation. This smokin’ hot cast covers everyone from “the Overachiever” to “the Punk” to “the Wallflower.” Drama unfolds when the cast is reminded of their high school hopes and dreams and they realize their lives aren’t anything they thought it would be.
“Getting married after two months? What is she, a Kardashian?” “Better with You” is ABC’s newest family sitcom, starring the Putney family. Joel and Vicky Putney have been happily married for 35 years. Maddie Putney and her longtime boyfriend Ben have been together for 9 years, making a “valid life choice” not get married. Mia Putney and Casey have been dating for less than 2 months and they just got engaged… And Surprise! Mia’s pregnant!
Emmy Kadubic , played by Keri Russel, is super-liberal, a humanitarian, and an environmentalist. Steven Wilde, Will Arnett, is wealthy, selfish, and snobby. They are childhood sweethearts and he wants nothing more than to win her heart and she wants to turn him into a kind and generous man. Will these opposites attract? We’ll have to find out as Puddle (Emmy’s daughter, yes her name is Puddle!) narrates the rest of the story.
What shows are you excited for?
xoxo
