Im a lifelong Chicagoan and I love my hometown...especially my championship teams.
When you come to Chicago, start at Soldier Field on Lake Shore Drive. I remember the Bears Super Bowl win in 85. Then, over to the west side on Madison Avenue, I had lots of kicks. Michael Jordan won championships and gave us six. Next, the south side at 35th and Shields, its called the Cell. The White Sox rang the World Series bell. Last stop is the Friendly Confines at Clark and Addison. Its been a hundred years since my Cubs claimed the big one.
Were kicking off a HUGE week at Sears in hometowns across the nation. It doesnt matter if your town is big or small. Hometowns are about community. And, within your community, conversations are started about favorite teams, waiting in line the day after Thanksgiving in the wee hours to get a door busting deal, or the local business owner who let you work in his store to pay off broken window panes.
