The plot is built around the gold Abba songs (which the *actors* sing), with a mother and daughter living on a sunny island, and daughter about to get married looks for her unknown father to be at her wedding. Eventually, 3 show up and the mother (Meryl Streep) gets her romantic moments too. Pierce Brosnan sings horribly, but that doesn't spoil it.
