AverageJoe says "Fate lead me to this great washer" about GE 3.6 cubic foot Top-Load Washing Machine

This washer has exceeded my expectations. My wife is tall and she did not want a front loader. Also after doing much research on front loaders, all I saw were complaints of clothes not getting washed and moldy smells. I happened upon a review on this washer and was debating whether to buy an old style top load washer for $297 or buy this washer for $409 at another store. I was about to buy this from the other store when I decided to do one last price search. I came across this comparison site that I had never heard of, but it showed that Sears had this washer on sale for $20 less than the other store! Sold.

The pros for this washer are:

1 It is quiet.

2. It's a top loader and I don't have to worry about it getting the moldy smell.

3. It has an impeller that runs from bottom to near the top of the washer. This helps get the clothes at the top to the bottom, ensuring that the top clothes get washer an don't stay dry as I read about for other washers. Most other top loaders...
...

AverageJoe says "Sandisk Extreme III SDHC Memory Card (SDSDRX3-4096-A21 )" about SanDisk SanDisk SDSDRX3-4096-A21 4GB Extreme III High-Performance SDHC Memory Card

I use the Sandisk Extreme III SDHC Memory Card (SDSDRX3-4096-A21 ) on my Nikon D40. Shooting at Norm image size, (approx 1.8 MB size images), I can shoot over 2000 pictures. There isn't any noticable delay for writing to the memory, I do not have to wait for the picture to be saved before taking the next shot. The card is fast and reliable. I have not had any problems with the card.

I went on a week long trip. By the first four hours, the kids had used up 1.5 GB!!! Good thing I had more than one card.

I would recommend this card. I got mine at a really good price. When I bought my card, it came with a SDHC reader. I thought I was just getting the card, so it was a bonus to get the reader.

Craftsman 3 pc. Screw-Out Damaged Screw Remover Set.

Tried to remove a frozen phillips screw holding down the rotor cap on a Plymouth. There was plenty of room to access the screw, but the Screw Remover just stripped the head away. Resorted to the good old drill bit.
...

AverageJoe says "Great rechargeable batteries." about Duracell Batteries, Rechargeable, 2650 mAh, AA, 4 batteries

Duracell rechargeable batteries are the best batteries I have ever purchased. I have owned 12 AAs and 8 AAAs for four years now. They are all still working great. I use them in digital cameras and an old camcorder. The camcorder can use a battery pack or it can use six AA batteries. The original NiCad battery pack only holds a charge for 20-30 minutes and takes several hours to charge. A new battery pack costs $25 or more. I have used six Duracell rechargeable AA batteries in the camcorder and it lasts for over an hour and they only take an hour to charge in my one hour charger.

Go green and buy Duracell rechargeable batteries. They are well worth the price.
...

AverageJoe says "Not a point and shoot" about Nikon D40 w/18-55mm lens Digital SLR Outfit

The Nikon D40 is my first DSLR. It takes some time to get use to it. I bought mine two years ago. It overexposes the pictures in the Auto mode setting. I sent photos to Nikon and they basically denied this. I even pointed out that there are Nikon sites that say several Nikon DSLR's overexpose their pictures and that you have to use Program mode to compensate for this.

So, I shoot from Program mode. It appears that the exposure table is different from the exposure table when shooting from Auto mode. I can set the Program settings to match the Auto settings, yet I get a better picture in Program mode. I did play around with the more recent Nikon D40 and Auto mode doesn't seem as overexposed as my camera, however, I only shot inside a dimly lit store. Also, I haven't checked to see if there has been a software update.

The D40 is a decent DSLR. It's light weight and takes great pictures, (in Program mode), and I like the 6 MP file size. The 8-12 MP file sizes from the...
...
