Logitech Optical Mouse: much smoother movement than the regular mouse. I normally use a Logitech Marble Mouse (trackball), but was having trouble with mine. I originally went into the store to buy the cheapest mouse I could find, just to plug into my USB port to make sure that the problem was with the mouse and not with the port.

When I saw the Logitech Optical mouse, I was attracted by the Logitech name. Since it could be as long as several weeks before I had another trackball, I decided to spend a few more dollars and get the optical mouse. The movement is smooth enough so that I can play online games without frustration. My preference is for the trackball type, but this is the next best thing.
