We live in a high tech world. Sometimes, the "old reliable way" can't be beat. The Ames/TrueTemper Hand Weeder is one of those hand tools that I consider a necessity. Sure you can spray or apply weed killer to eliminate weeds, but sometimes, you have to get down and remove a stray weed by hand. I have to admit that I do apply weed killer and have an extending hand weeder, but for some reason I like this hand weeder. It's easy to control, light to handle and pops the weed upward so that it can be removed. Done correctly, it's easy to remove the weed along with the root. Craftsman Pressure Washer Pump Saver is easy to use and protects the pump during periods when the Pressure Washer is not in use. It doesn't get much easier than this. Simply attach the hose that is on the can to the water INLET on the pressure washer. Depress the button on top of the can to add the pump saver. Hold the button until the Pump Saver/Lubricant comes out of the water OUTLET. Release the button...you're done! It only takes seconds to protect your Craftsman Pressure Washer. We received the Igloo 44347 48 Qt Ice Cube 48 Cooler as a gift. This is one of my favorite go-to coolers. The cube shape makes it large enough to carry 2 liter bottles in the upright position. The 48 Qt capacity can carry 75 cans, or as mentioned earlier, 2 liter bottles. The lid has room for storage of small items and 2 cup holders. The handles are the "flip" design to allow for easy carrying. Igloo is a brand name that has been around for a while. The Igloo 48 Qt. Ice Cube Cooler is perfect for those outings when you don't need a larger cooler. One of the items that I wish it had is a a drain plug to release the water from the melted ice. Although, it is not that difficult, the cooler must be tipped over to empty. In addition, without wheels, it must be carried or loaded onto a wheeled carrier. We do use this cooler quite a bit, the cube shape is perfect. Igloo...keeps things cool!...

After seeing this Igloo 5 Gallon Beverage Cooler at a summer party, I knew we had to have one. We have used this for drinking water and lemonade. There is a push button dispenser that is easy to use. On the side of the cooler is a plastic mount that allows you to attach a paper cup dispenser. It is important to note, that when placing the Beverage Cooler so that cups can be placed under the dispenser, the cooler should be positioned so that it will not tip over or so that it cannot be pulled down on someone. We like to place it on a sturdy wooden platform that is about two feet off the ground. That little bit of caution is well worth it, especially when young children may be getting their own beverage. I purchased the TracFone T155 no contract cell phone after deciding that my wife and I both needed our own cell phones. After shopping around I found the TracFone Senior Value Cellphone. This phone is perfect for my needs. I wanted a basic flip phone and did not want to have a phone that required a contract. Well, to my surprise, the Senior Value Cellphone (SVC) is loaded with features. This phone cost $15.00 and is easy to use. It provides lighted keys and a display with large text. Since I wear hearing aids, the TracFone (SVC), is compatible with my hearing aids. There isn't any microphone feedback. When opening the flip phone the display give you the airtime balance and also the number of service days left for the minutes. I prefer to add minutes with a prepaid card. To maintain your minutes, it is necessary to add airtime before the number of service days expires. Each time you add airtime, another 90 days is automatically added to the current number of service days remaining.......

I purchased the Craftsman 2600 PSI, 2.3 GPM Honda Powered Pressure Washer almost a year ago. It is used for applications around the home. The multi-use selector nozzle enables you to choose from five (5) spray patterns. MAX - is for those really tough jobs GENERAL - is great for a variety of applications such as siding, decks, patios driveways, etc. DELICATE - for washing cars, boats, outdoor furniture, etc. FLUSH - best used for washing long reach areas, SOAP - for use when applying soap or to spray soap to those long reach areas. I use Project Pro PerfectMix Extreme Concentrate - Mold and Mildew Cleaner to clean vinyl siding. I simply put the bottle in the holder on my Craftsman 2600 PSI Pressure washer and install the siphon tube into the bottle. The Project Pro PerfectMix Extreme Concentrate is automatically applied during the soap application. After applying the Concentrate Cleaner, let it remain on the surface for 1 to 3 minutes. It is noted in the Directions for use: Do Not Allow The Solution To Dry! After shopping around for a GPS system to be used in our vehicles, I noticed that the TomTom XXL 550M had a 5.0 inch screen for easier viewing. After checking into the TomTom, we were convinced that it would be perfect for our vehicles. I have owned this GPS system for over a month and continue to be amazed.

The TomTom XXL 550M 5.0 inch GPS includes Lifetime Map Updates. New updates are issued four (4) times per year and are easily loaded into the unit. TomTom includes Home desktop software to update the GPS...all included. TomTom sends an e-mail when updates for the unit is available.

Other features include:

After using upright vacuums (Non-Kenmore/Sears types) for over 40 years. I was surprised when Sears offered me a free vacuum in exchange for testing and writing an honest review. I was able to test the Kenmore Canister Vacuum, Model #21614. This Canister Vacuum is completely different from anything I've ever used.

Test Area:

Our home is a ranch style with approximately 2200 Sq. Ft. on the main floor, a finished basement with approximately 2200 Sq. Ft., covered with Berber carpeting. The floors are hardwood, deep pile carpeting, slate tile and Berber carpeting on the stairs to the basement and including, the entire basement.

Assembly:

The Kenmore Canister Vacuum was packed securely to prevent damage to the unit. I recommend reading and understanding the "Use & Care Guide" thoroughly before assembly and use. Attaching the telescoping wand into the PowerMate was simple and firm. The other end of the hose firmly snaps into the canister.

The Energizer Weather Ready Compact Rechargeable Light is one of my favorite "go to" items. This compact light really can provide a very bright, magnified light source when trying to find your way in the dark, dim light and during a power outage. Looking for items is a lot easier with the Energizer Weather Ready Compact Rechargeable Light. It has helped me locate many items in the garage, tool box or closets. It's also perfect when normal lighting just isn't enough.

Operation of this rechargeable light is convenient with a selector slide switch. The three positions, "on, off/recharge and nightlight/charge" are close to your thumb. There's no fumbling to find the switch.

Dearfoams Men's Ultra Soft Terry Slip-On Indoor/Outdoor Slippers are the only slipper that I wear around the house. They are made of a soft terry fabric and easy to put on and remove. Since the Dearfoams Men's slippers are lined they provide warmth. Although, I wear them all year, they get the most usage during the winter. The cushioned insole is very soft and comfortable. The rubber sole is perfect for walking in the house, or outside on the porch, driveway, or just to get the mail.

I have worn Timex watches for many years. I like the simplicity and easy to use features. Actually, I have two Timex Mens Calendar Date Watches with the indiglo feature. The white face with black numbers make it especially easy to see the time. I use one of the two for everyday use and the other for special occasions. The Timex Mens Calendar Date Watch comes with a black leather strap that fit my wrist comfortably. The watch features hour, minute and second hands. The date function can be set by simply pulling the adjustment stem outward until you feel the first click. Rotate the stem until the desired date is in the window. If you wish to adjust the time, pull the stem outward until it stops. Rotate the stem until the desired time is set. When the settings are completed, push the stem in. The indiglo feature will activate by pushing and holding the stem in. It will go out when you release it. Indiglo is great for trying to see the time in the dark or dim light....

Fisher-Price Little People, Lil' Movers School Bus is a wonderful re-make of the original School Bus. The forward roof line over the windshield acts as a handle for tiny hands to carry. It comes with three distinctive "Little People", each with their own traits. Included, is a wheelchair, to help children understand some of the limitations of others. Safety features like a pull-out stop sign for safe exit complete with flashing red signal lights are included. The driver tells the children to sit down and watch for lights. You can hear laughter and a loud horn by simply pushing on the drivers head. The passengers bounce up and down with the tire movement of the bus.

The Fisher-Price Little People, Lil' Movers School Bus is a great introduction to a school bus ride, making it something to look forward to.
