Jackfoury says "A quicker way than getting out an iron but not the same result." about Conair Compact Fabric Steamer

I bought this a couple of years ago. You cannot expect to use it for everything that has to be pressed such as a cotton shirt. You can use it to take wrinkles out of something that doesn't require a pressed or pleated look such as knits. So if you are looking to replace steam ironing with this product,, don't expect that. Why buy it, you ask? Some items are a lot easier to steam out while hanging such as a dress or a pair of pants. You can put the nozzle on the inside of the garment and steam it from the inside out. Some items are already pressed but look wrinkled from being folded or the way they were hung. This is great for quickly getting stuff to look smart without going through all the hassles of getting out the iron, filling it with water, arranging it on an ironing board and on and on. Great for delicate fabric....

Jackfoury says "Easy to operate - good for teens" about Remington Remington Style Curling Iron, 1 Inch, 1 curling iron

I bought this styling tool for my daughter who has long super thick black hair. It's extremely difficult to style and she prefers the straight look. Her hair also takes hours to fully dry. She started using this product and loves it. She (we) can't live without it. It can be used safely on wet hair. It will iron it out and leave it flat and silky. Great for teens who are learning how to use an iron. One design issue is the power +/- button can easily be pressed while using it even if don't intend to adjust it. Maybe it should be located somewhere else....

Jackfoury says "No more groping for filters and measuring spoons" about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker

Love, love, loooovvee this coffee maker. It's my best friend besides my dog and my ipod. The first thing I have to get in the morning is coffee. If I have to measure stuff and pour things when I'm not fully awake it's really a disaster-plus waiting for the coffee to brew..added about 10 minutes to the routine if I didn't accidentally fall asleep waiting. The Keurig eliminates all of that nonsense and gives you immediate coffee satisfaction. The other great thing is that it's consistent. You know that you'll get a great cup every time. I think this design was intended for break rooms or something, but I love it at home and don't need to drink coffee all day just in the morning. As for the expense, it is more expensive per cup - but it eliminates all the wasted coffee poured down the sink. So, I think it's a wash in the end. Try it if you aren't coffee addicted..otherwise you may want to keep your potfuls of brewed coffee.
...

Jackfoury says "Perfectionist's review" about Apple - iPod Nano 3G Product Red Edition Media Player

Let's be honest it's a great product for music lovers. That said it's not completely perfect. Things I love are the look and feel, the menus, the games, the screen resolution. Stuff that could improve are; buttons are a little sensitive which is not a problem for selecting music, but for playing games it makes you pick a bad answer sometimes which is frustrating. So brush up your fine motor skills if you want to use it for gaming. Also, for some reason my ipod doesn't have the greatest sound quality sometimes. I suspect it's a problem I may have caused but don't know what that might be other than using it constantly. So perhaps it is responding to high use. It's a great thing to have and I don't go anywhere without my ipod....

Jackfoury says "Fun if you have the patience to wait for a seat" about Pogo.com

The website does deliver easy access to online 'free' games. I've been playing scrabble mostly and there are some issues with the site. Often a player finishes a game and does not quit out of the game so the system sends in new players to that game. It will tell you it's asking the host if you can play, but never does anything. So you have to keep signing out and trying over and over until you get a live game. Other problems are that the screen will white out and lock up so I've had to quit mid-game sometimes. Fortunately there's a chat window so you can explain your sudden departure due to technical issues. I also play some card games and those are all fine so far. Not sure about the use of the tokens. I understand that you can enter them in drawings but that seems a little futile....

Jackfoury says "Overall it's been a good phone I'd say" about Nokia - 6102i Cell Phone

My phone has taken a beating. Lots of use and I'm a game addict to boot. That said the phone has not held up as well as it could have. Specifically my select button no longer works for games, and my antenna is being held together with scotch tape. Other problems... it shows a strange message about inserting a card for no apparent reason which corrects if I turn it off and on again. Other than that it works pretty good.
...

Jackfoury says "Cold Stone....I don't get it" about Cold Stone Creamery - Oswego, IL

I didn't get what is so special about cold stone ice cream. To me it had non specific sweet taste where you couldn't really tell what flavor you were eating. Also, let's talk process and price. You wait forever because everyone is creating an oh so special treat, and then you get the bill and it's crazy to pay that much for ice cream. Portions are huge and it's lost on kids who can't even finish it. Did I miss something, because I just don't get it. Sorry.......

Jackfoury says "Protects your purchase if it breaks" about Sears PurchaseProtect Plan

There's a new protection plan out there that makes it simple to replace your product if it breaks called Sears PurchaseProtect. All you have to do is buy it along with the merchandise you want to cover. It's affordable. If your product breaks in the future, you call or go online and follow the steps. When your claim gets approved, you'll get a Sears gift card for the purchase price plus tax allowance. I think it's nice to have especially on some electronics like an ipod since the warranties are so short and they make it so hard to get a claim fully covered. Also, I might want to buy an upgrade rather than keep the same model. With Sears PurchaseProtect I get to chose which model I want to purchase as my replacement rather than having to accept back a refurbished or obsolete model. JK
...
