Will run the entire house during power failure. Has been a life saver with regard to heat and comfort during prolonged outages. Starts without fail and is a breeze to operate and maintain. A bargin when you consider the benefits. We use it for emergencies only and it has never let us down. Just keep the fuel fresh and the spark plug clean and you can rest assured that it will start on command. I find the unit to be no more noisy than any other unit of this size.
