KITTY77 says "Keeps our refrigerator alive" about Sears Appliance Repair Center

We have a Kenmore refrigerator that was purchased new in August of 1980. The Sears Appliance Repair Center has kept it working during all those years. I don't know if it was cost effective or not to keep repairing it, but I've had repairmen from other companies say that appliances from that era were designed to last a lifetime or to be replaced once. Each time, it was possible to do a good repair. A clip that holds a shelf broke and we were going without until the repairman came to fix something else and he ordered it for us. I assumed that it would be impossible to find a part like a tiny clip.

I've looked at new refrigerators and what I would love to have is too expensive and too big for the space where mine has to fit. The models its size have no advantages over what we already own, so we'll keep calling the Sears Appliance Repair Center in the future.
...

We bought the original Magic Bullet because my husband wanted to grind up mincemeat from the jar. It is the perfect size for small jobs. He uses it to scramble eggs and I've chopped cheese. My favorite use is to grind coffee beans. The coarse grind makes a perfect cup of coffee in my drip coffee maker.

The motor smells hot when you use it, but I have a hand mixer that I've owned for nearly 50 years which works fine despite the same odor. It is designed to run for about 10 seconds at a time which is fine for every job we've tried. The newer one is larger - which wouldn't be good for our uses - and has a stronger motor.

Easy to clean and easy to store. It comes with two chopping/blending blades and two containers. There are also four mugs with colored rings to differentiate them at a party. Just pop in the food, screw on the blade, put the container on the blender base and press down. You can also twist and lock the container if you want to run it longer. You can put...
...
