      <description>&lt;p&gt;I love my GE refrigerator, and this feature (water filtration) was a HUGE factor in choosing the unit. Our local water is pretty good to start with, but has chlorine &amp;amp; sulfates in it, which you can taste from the tap. The ice and water dispensed from the door of the fridge is crystal clear, and tastes wonderful, thanks to the GE Smartwater Filter system. It is super quick &amp;amp; easy to replace, and it stops about 99.9% of all the nasty stuff that might be found in tap water. The paper that comes in the box has a long list of these things, and shows how well the filter works to catch all of them. I love my morning coffee, and I use the filtered water from the fridge to make that, as well as&#160;for cooking, iced tea, juice &amp;amp; drink mixes, etc. You can really taste the difference, and I also&#160;feel like it helps protect the health of my family. The ONLY bad thing about these replacement filters, is the price. Fortunately, Sears is helping with that, too! A year ago, it cost over $46 for one at my...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
