Wow, what a great read. This is the story of an elderly man who looks back on his life, and retells his story. It takes him through a part of his life where he came to work with a traveling circus. Circus life was rough, as were the people he met along the way. This story has mystery, intrigue, romance, and reflection. While it has a very serious nature, it has you completely engrossed in it's pages. This is the first book in over ten years that everyone in my bookclub agreed was a fantastic read. Hat's off to Sara Gruen's writing style. I understand it has been bought to be made into a movie. I can't wait to see what they do with it.

Wild Hogs makes you laugh out loud. It's a great look at a mismatched group of men trying to bring back some adventure into their lives. They are biker wannabees, who bungle their way through a road trip. They come together when they must deal with a gang to save a small town. They remind you we are all bungling through life some days, and give you a good laugh out loud time.

Mattel's Apples to Apples is great for friends or family. We love to play it when the family gets together for a holiday meal. Kids from about 10 to the elderly can enjoy the game together. It's more fun with people you are familiar with. You try to predict what would first come to a person's mind when they see an adjective. Sometimes you don't have a card to match that adjective and you go for something over the top silly, and it can create an uproar of laughter.

I bought this set over twenty-eight years ago, and I still go to it first when I am crocheting. It easily slips in any bag I use, and has everything organized and handy. In all those years I've never lost a hook, thanks to the zippered pouch. I've toted that case everywhere, and it's all still intact. The needles are well made and still smooth and comfortable in my hand.

I love gadgets, but this one was so easy to use I bought them for all my family for Christmas. Everyone has their own reasons for loving it, but no one leaves home without it. I have owned mine for 2 years now, and use it often, both locally and long distance. I love the feature to find the quickest way home with only two taps. It has gotten me out of many a confusing pickle. It has several ways you can search, by address, intersection, or category. It helps you find gas stations, hotels, restaurants, or any point of interest. It has very clear visuals on turns. It doesn't have text to speech, but it is very clearly marked and easy to read a street name, and you can zoom it too. It is the most feature packed GPS for the price.

I have used AVG free for years. It doesn't bog down my pcs like Norton Antivirus does. It's kept my pc and several laptops virus free for years, and with lots of surfing that can be a challenge. AVG handles it easily....

I have shopped at Land's End for years now. They have always stood behind their products. Years ago I had a jacket I had bought for my husband, and one for myself. The zipper pull broke, after a year, and they replaced the jacket with a new one. My favorite thing about Lands' End is their bathing suits. I do water aerobics and other suits I have bought last less than 6 months. Land's End I usually get more than a year out of, and that is 3 times a week, year round. They are fabulous, and can be bought at great prices....

Sears has such great sales on clothes this time of year. I had ordered a shirt for my son online from Land's End, and it was too small, so I was able to return it Sears (so easy!). While there I found a great deal on dress shirts for my husband. I can always find good quality sneakers for my son there, that last. I also found many choices of clothes for myself to try on, all great prices to start our fall wardrobes....

The Magellan Maestro 3200 car GPS is a great device. It was my first GPS and I searched for months doing comparisons on the internet. It has great maps, that guide you through even complicated round abouts with great accuracy. I never knew I needed a GPS, but now I don't leave the garage without it, even in my own town. I like this one because as GPS' go, it wasn't expensive, yet had all the features I needed, without having to subscribe to a monthly service. I have taken it over nearly 20,000 miles in a year's time, and it has been wonderful in strange towns. Great to be able to see how roads are laid out in front of you when in a strange town after dark. Finding that house with no numbers, or the street with no sign is so simple now. I loved mine so much I bought several for family members for Xmas last year. My daughter can now get around Atlanta even though half the streets are named Peach Street! She can avoid nasty traffic tie ups with the detour function. My parents in Florida......
