NMFan says "2 weeks old and motor is making very loud noise" about Kenmore 24&#34 Built-In Dishwasher - White

In the first week this dishwasher was a dream. Very quiet and very efficient. Everything comes out clean. After 1 week, during a wash cycle, out of the blue was a really, really loud noise similar to a baseball card stuck in a kids bike spokes. It was definately the motor. The sound comes and goes with no apparent pattern other than it's getting louder and sounds more like bad bearings. I called Sears Warranty just now and was told I don't need Servicing as it's only two weeks old. I told the rep she was correct...I needed repair, not servicing. After 12 minutes of being transferred and put on hold I was given a repair # and told that someone would call in 24 hours. Maybe I got a fluke motor but after what I can foresee as a problem with the warranty I can only give the product a 1 star. I wonder if Sears will back it's 100% satisfaction guarantee?? I can only hope.
...

NMFan says "For the price, nothing beats this fridge" about Kenmore 25.4 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator w/ PUR Water Filtration

We went from a slightly bigger side by side fridge (26 cu Ft) to this one and it actually has more room inside due to its better configuration. On the outside it's a bit smaller which makes for a great fit in the kitchen.

The sales person told me not to worry about food spoilage when it was installed as it would cool down quickly. He told me to load it full as soon as they delivered it. I was sceptical and glad so now. The freezer side immediately cooled down but it took the fridge side a full 24 hours. Even then when I filled (not full) both sides the fridge had a very hard time keeping up. It took about 3 full days before everything finally cooled to a normal temp in the fridge side.

The ice maker immediately began to make ice and does so about every hour and a half or so. We followed the instructions in the manual and on here and emptied about 1 to 2 gallons of water from the water dispenser as it was dripping water. It no longer does after a few days of normal use. This is...
...
