There aren't many bells and whistles which tend to increase the cost of a phone while not necessarily increasing the quality. It's a very lightweight phone and not super-thin or tiny which can be an annoyance in my opinion. You can text with this phone and there are several emoticons to choose from. However, if you are an avid texter, this phone may not be for you as you may begin wondering mid-text why you didn't just call instead....
