PittsCraftsman says "It works well even with mods" about Craftsman Garage Door Opener System 3/4 hp Belt Drive, Die Hard Battery Back-Up

I was in sears and wanted to add a remote entry keypad to my existing Craftsman garage door opener (GDO). Not knowing what year, model, or color of learn button I had, ran home to check. Well, I didn't have a learn button, sensors, none of it. Just an opener that had a set of nine dip switches and a couple of screws and knobs. Went back to sears. Tried to find something that would work, nothing would, unless I bought a universal receiver with a keypad and tried that, but would set me back still about $70. Decided to buy a new one on sale for $199 that was supposed to be quieter, with battery backup, keypad, etc.

Went home, tore out my old GDO. Started to assemble new GDO. Took look at newly assembled unti with rail, and realized rail was way too long for my application. i have a vent blocking the rail from extending all the way. My garage door is only 6 1/2 foot. After careful consideration and LOTS of measuring, I end up cutting off 16.5 inches from the CENTER rail female end and 33"...
...

PittsCraftsman says "Can't Beat It" about DeWalt 4-1/2 In. Small Angle Grinder Kit

For it's utility, design and usefulness you can't beat this Dewalt angle grinder. I use it around the house for many purposes. I have used it cut rebar like butter with a metal cutoff wheel. I used it to brush rust off a pole to repaint with a wire brush wheel within a few minutes. I used a masonry wheel to remove old concrete from my porch and cut off the base of a bad step and flatten it. This baby knows no bounds.Comfortable grip, and the paddle switch are nice and it's not too heavy. Lots of wheels are available. MUST have eye protection and ear plugs and a dust mask wouldn't be a bad idea. Heavy clothes are needed too, at least long pants cause this baby will spray shrapnel and dust everywhere! A must-have tool! Price is right!
...

PittsCraftsman says "Great Functional Idea" about Craftsman C3 19.2 volt Cordless Inflator

This inflator is a great add-on for the C3 product line. I fyou already own the tools, batteries,e tc. this is a no-brainer! Makes for a decent digital pressure gauge, a good top-off for vehicle tires, good bicycle inflator, and a good ball inflator. Very handy to have around!

I try to check my truck tire pressure once a month or so, but I forget a lot. I have pressure sensors in the tires so when one gets low an alarm goes off. This inflator is real handy for that purpose too! I hate trying to manuever around the gas station lot and get air, always busy and a PITA. The Lock feature is wonderful!

The complaints I have are:

The way the hose attaches ... it has a screw-in fitting, but just sticks into a rubber tube-like grommet and gets held-in, tightly, by the screw on cap. I don't like the connection method.

I agree with another poster, I think the tire chuck is cheap pot metal and they could have at least went with brass.

Mine runs hot. After a few minutes of running, the tip of the...

...

PittsCraftsman says "A Must Have!" about Craftsman 11543 19.2-volt C3 Cordless 1/2&#34 Hammer Drill/Driver

Ever try to drill through concrete or cinderblock with a regular drill and masonry bit? Good Luck with that! I bought this drill to be able to easily drill through whatever to install cable and to drill into cinderblock and concrete in my garage to hang tracking and hooks with tapcon screws. This is an excellent drill with lots of speed and power, exceeded my expectations.

Wish I had this drill when using an old drill hanging a flatscreen above a fireplace with just three holes, two hours later, and three broken bits. This baby would have done it in three minutes! Don't use to drive screws though, buy the craftsman driver to drive screws and bolts, you won't be sorry!

Does run out of juice after about 15 - 20 holes through concrete block. I am going to eventually get a Lithium battery that should last a lot longer.

Cuts through masonry like butter with a fully charged battery and decent masonry bits. Let's me get work done 20x faster! Highly recommended!
...

PittsCraftsman says "Gets the job done easily" about Craftsman C3 19.2-volt Cordless Impact Driver 17080

I purchased this as an add-on tool when I bought the C3 Hammer drill kit. Worked for me driving about 40 tapcon screws through cinderblock and concrete hanging various tracks and storage in my garage. Very powerful and beats trying to use a drill and doesn't tweak your wrist as a drill would do. Also drives MUCH quicker and tighter than a drill. Lots of torque! Once you use this driver you will never use a drill again for driving various screws and bolts! Highly recommended!
...

PittsCraftsman says "POWERFUL BUT SUBPAR QUALITY" about Craftsman 33cc Full Crank Gas String Trimmer Straight shaft Convertible

Once upon a time a few weeks in the past when trimming my grass, I blew out my electric cheap B & D Grass Hog, third one kaput (JUST trimming grass!). I threw it over the hill and went to sears which is close to my house. Picked up this weedwacker combo for $169.99 on sale. I decided that I needed a much more powerful machine to tackle another job besides some lawn trimming ... cutting a steep hillside filled with a spring/summer growth of throaty weeds, vines and grasses.

Brought home my new purchase after stopping at the gas station and mixing the required amount of fuel with the oil in a new can and purchased extra craftsman oil for the 50:1 ratio mix. Used 87 octane. Unboxed and assembled the unit in ten minutes. Started in a few pulls after priming it six times. Started fine, but would not spin! The spindle just sat there, even at almost full throttle. Disassembled and reassembled. Double-checked, triple-checked the manual and the unit. The piece on the head shaft that the attachment...
...
