I bought this camera a few months ago and have been really happy. I've always been a big Cannon fan, but my old one was 6 pixels which was fine until I started blowing up my pictures past 5x7. So when I started looking for new ones, I got recomendations from friends (Sony did get some good callouts) but Cannon was the frontrunner again. This camera is thinner than my old Elf model so fits easily into my jeans (and if you're a girl going out at night, that's very important) and has incredible quality. I also like the bright red color. It makes it easy to find in my bag and if friends are passing it around and taking pictures during the night, I can always tell which one is mine. I do recommend investing in a bigger memory card because you're going to be really tempted to take videos on this one!

The only con I have is that its only a 3x zoom. You have to sacrifice zoom for size. At the end of the day it was more important to me that I could carry it easily, but if you do a lot of sporting...

My black lab has never spent a night on the floor, in fact, she has never spent a night off of one of the family members' beds. But as she got older, it became more and more difficult for her to jump onto the bed, and she made it pretty obvious that being picked up was demeaning. That's when we found these steps. Within a few days we were able to convince her of the value, and now she refuses to get up on a bed without them. I strongly encourage anyone with an older dog to consider getting one of these! Just remember to put them on carpet or put a towel under them on wood floors, because they can slip. I also recomend teaching them with the steps next to a wall, they get a bit nervous about falling off.

I've bought a few pairs of Gap jeans and have had mixed results. One pair fits wonderfully, but stretched out a lot. They're my "comfy" jeans, but don't really look that great. Another pair had a zipper that just wouldn't stay up. It fell down ALL THE TIME! My warning is try them on and feel the fabric, because each jean is not made the same.

I got my Sigg as a present 10 months ago and I use it everyday.

- They keep water cool and fresh

- It saves you a TON of $$$. Think about it. Its a $20 water bottle. Let's be really generous and say water costs $1 per bottle (we all know its closer to $2 these days). That means that if you drink only 1L of water a day, in 3 weeks you'd recoup the cost of the Sigg. Now, if you drink more than that, you'll get back your investment even more quickly.

- It's more environmentally friendly than plastic water bottles.

- It's healthier for you than Nalgenes.

TIPS:

My biggest problem was figuring out the best way to clean my bottle. I found that Whole Foods (and probably a lot of other places) sells these little fizzing tablets that you can put in and clean your bottle with. Warning, you need to rinse it out a lot, because I think the taste lingers for about a day.

I bought this oven in 2008 at a Sears in Illinois and had it delivered to my parents in California. My mother LOVES the oven. She bakes and cooks all the time and says its been wonderful. It has a ton of amazing features, many of which we don't use, but are really cool (my father had fun reading the manual).

My only warning is that you should get it a bit before any huge baking project. We got ours right before Christmas and we weren't used to the convection so it took our roast a long time to cook. The recomended temperature seems really dependent on the altitude, so you have to play around with it a bit to find the right temperature.

I bought this oven for my parents in November '08 and my mother LOVES it. There is a bit of a learning curve because the oven can do so much. You also have to feel it out to figure the right temperature for convection (the suggestions it came with made our turkey take awhile to cook). However, once you get used to it, it's wonderful. My mom loves to bake and cook and she says its been wonderful.

I also asked around before I bought the oven, and KitchenAid in general got great reviews. I bought mine from Sears. I bought it in Illinois and it was delivered in California.

We got this for my mother for Christmas since she does a lot of travel for business and kept having to call my father at work for mapquest directions when she got lost. She LOVES her Mio Moov and finds it really easy to use. It's also very safety conscious and warns you if you hold it up in a way that could block your view.

I also like this one because it has "text to speech" meaning it tells you the street name coming up. Many GPS devices don't do this. Most just say "turn left in 200 ft" but don't say "turn left in 200 ft--State Street." When you're in a new place or have crazy intersections with diagonals, having the street name is really useful.

The Mio Moov is also a great bargain. Most GPS's with Text to Speech are really expensive. This one was affordable and easy to use.

I bought these shoes in the fall and I concur that they are the most comfortable shoes I own. They're also warm enough that with socks I can wear them in the winter. They're great for travel because you can walk all day in them and not get blisters but they're also easy to slip on and off at the airport....

I got the Legos Star Wars fighter plane for my cousin's six-year old and he LOVED it. The new Star Wars cartoons are really in with that age group, so it was a really relevant present. It's also a gift that crosses generations since both his father, grandfather, and me (recent college grad) could all talk about it together. I really recomend this product!...
