Shawnfrom66 says "bent the handle and sears wouldn't replace it." about Craftsman C-clamp

I had to throw away my Craftsman C-clamp. Okay so I got a little frustrated and bent the handle. It's a Craftsman tool, right? Well, at the Sears store in Columbia MO, I was told that the warrantee only applied to small hand tools. I was perplexed. Was it not a small hand tool because I have large hands? I argued with the guy for a few minutes and told him I was never buying another one. That position stands. Maybe it tipped the scale up to the next dollar at the scrap yard; I will never really know....

Shawnfrom66 says "serves many purposes" about Milwaukee 6089 20 9" Grinder, Roto Lok

I got this tool to replace a 7 inch grinder that went by the wayside in the process of my divorce. I find more uses for it on a regular basis. I use it as a grinder, yes. With a six inch brush on it, it can remove scale in a heartbeat (or that stuff that is on the bottom of a lawnmower blade, when the blade is clamped in a good vise). It's a good sander to clean or shape metal with. With the right wheel, it makes a decent chop saw. The gaurd easily rotates and locks into place, and the after the sale service is great -- just bring it to any authorized Milwaukee service center (didn't get a wheel on tight enough once and it wouldn't come off for me afterwards) and repairs are free for the next five years.

If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll notice I work with my hands a lot. I am retired from the army and am a little too young to be retired, and a lot too independent to work for someone other than myself. I supplement my retirement with a variety of odd jobs that...
...

Shawnfrom66 says "The craftsman 3/4 drive quick release ratchet is solidly built." about Craftsman quick release 3/4 drive ratchet #00944804000

Last year i bought a cheap 3/4 drive set. Original intention -- take mobile home wheels and axles off the frame. The short story is that cheap tools might be cheap all around. This wrench is solid and the gears don't slip. I have no idea of how much torque it could handle, but after I break the nuts free with the 40 inch breaker bar, the big ratchet turns 'em. Of course, being the size it is and being built to last, it will put some bulk on your forearms regardless of how you feel about that, and whatever you do, don't drop it on your face. Oh, and happy wrenchin'....

Shawnfrom66 says "By this and you will save big money" about Craftsman #00952162000 13 Peice Bolt Out Set

The craftsman 13 piece bolt out set has saved me and my friends hundreds of dollars. I have removed bleeder valves from calipers, screws from tailgates, rounded lug nuts, and countless other things with the bolt outs in this set. It covers a wide range of sizes, and although I have hammered them on in one or two cases the flutes remain as sharp as they were the day I bought them. There is no doubt in my mind that these are an incredible value for what they cost in cash....
