It is worth every penny I paid for it. I've had it for close to five years and it works just as good as it did on day one! I have 3 kids, 4 cats, and 2 dogs... My Kirby keeps up no problem! I have no problem switching between attachments, although the wet cleaner is too much of a pain (I haver a separate carpet cleaner anyway), the quality of the vaccuum itself is worth the price. You also get a lifetime warranty. I recommend Kirby all of the time. It is an investment, but a worthy one!... It is a 5 speed manual. The only extras are the power doors and windows. It has been a fantastic vehicle. It handles great, rides well, and has decent gas mileage. I am a long time Ford Fan... I bought a 1997 Ford Escort brand new and it is still running fine... my oldest daughter has it now.  ...
