iamdebhep says "I have been so impressed by everything they offer." about Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis

Our son started his freshman year at IUPUI this August. He loves it. He was accepted into the engineering program. I've heard Purdue graduates say that they wish they would have attended IUPUI for their engineering program because the program is the very same that is implemented at Purdue but you get it for less money. The facilities at the school are great. The Natatorium offers unlimited swimming for $30.00 a semester.

The Student Center houses an excellent bookstore, conference rooms and the food court is really good, too. There is a Chic-Filet, a pizza place, a salad restaurant and more that I can't think of right now ... a wide variety. Most building are connected by covered walkways or underground tunnels. It's in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and an exciting place to be.

When our son graduates, he'll have a degree from Purdue without the cost if he were to go to West Lafayette to Purdue University. IUPUI has it own sports teams. They are the IUPUI Jaguars. ...
...

snmeyer says "Where top-notch education meets a thriving campus life! Awesome!" about Western Michigan University

In my opinion, Western Michigan University is the definition of an underrated university. With its first-class programs in Aviation, Sales & Business Marketing, Engineering and the Arts, its is a research university that puts the focus on students "starting right and finishing strong." During my four years there, I was able to discover a thriving campus life full of hundreds of opportunities to become a leader and get involved. I also discovered that the surrounding community of Kalamazoo has a city look, but a wonderful small town feel. Even with its 25,000+ students, it is easy for anyone to full at home at WMU and in Kalamazoo, and I cannot express how much I would recommend the university to anyone looking to make the best out of their college experience. Great education. Great campus. Great community. It is the BEST and MOST AFFORDABLE public institution in the State of Michigan. Enough said. GO BRONCOS!
...

anaromero1 says "nice little campus with lofty visions- and room for improvement" about Saint Xavier University

SXU (or St Xav's as it's commonly known) is a decent school, I give it a 3.5 rating, but round it up to four because of the whole number scale. Overall, the academics and intramural sports are great, the campus scene is a bit quiet as the campus is a bit small. Yet, the overall learning experience is excellent, as it accomodates to students' diverse backgrounds and needs, with interdisciplinary courses and extracurricular activities in an array of fields of inquiry (sports, philosophy, religion, music, politics). Though I was a bit too much of a 'worrier' concerning my studies (and to a lesser extent, part-time work study experiences), so that I wasn't socially involved, I still felt the impact of the core values of the institution (hospitality, excellence, mercy, to mention a few) in simple everyday situations while I resided on campus and attended mass, and events required in certain courses, for example General Colin Powell's speech in 2007 on the political state of the nation.

jecableguy says "Great program for working adults" about Franklin University

Franklin University offers a great program for working adults who want to finish a college degree. It is called the Community College Alliance Program.

This program directs students to complete an Associate's degree (or equivalent course credit) at their local community college. Then, the student takes another year's worth of courses from their community college, and finally, a year's worth of courses online from Franklin.

The end result is that the student graduates with a 4-year Bachelor's degree from Franklin, but pays a much lower price in tuition.

Franklin is not a gimmicky "virtual" university. It has an established campus in downtown Columbus, and was founded in 1902. It is fully accredited by the North Central Association.

If you are an adult, with a job/spouse/family/house etc., and you want to finish your Bachelor's degree without having to spend a ton of money, you owe it to yourself to investigate Franklin University.

http://www.franklin.edu

Best regards,

Jeremy Evans
Franklin University......

When my son started to get college flyers and brochures in the mail, one school stood out above the rest. The University of Chicago's recruitment department couldn't have profiled my son any better; every piece of mail he received from them had something that related to his likes, attitude and goals. The mailings were clever, witty and informative. It also didn't hurt that the campus buildings are beautiful stone monsters covered with ivy, and that it looks like the Harry Potter movies modeled their dining halls after U of C's!

The University of Chicago was the only school my son wanted to attend after high school. The application requirements were tough, but extremely creative. I am a bit disappointed to hear that they are resorting to the Common application from now on.

The information on the University's web site is easy to navigate and covers all the topics about which any student might need information. Arranging an appointment to tour the campus was easy. When we arrived, all the people...
...

Connections Academy. This is a wonderful way to have some say in your child's education. You do not have to send your child off on a bus with someone you do not know, to a school full of people you do not know. To wonder what they are learning or if there are learning. You do not have to worry about there safety in this crazy world. The day is spent at home doing schoolwork, the school provides all of the education materials for you to oversee the work. They have on-line classes or you can use text books that they provide. They even provide the computer. They will send you a check a few times a year to help pay for the Internet too. The education is custom made for your child. You save on school cloths, they can stay in PJ's all day if they want to. You do not have to pay for school lunches. You can do classwork in the morning, afternoon or night. It fits your schedule. The school has field trips every month in your area. The school wants the children to have school friends and interaction......

Illinois State University is a large school, but it's located in a smaller town setting. Lots of good restaurants around. This school provides a decent education and the price isn't too bad. They have a good sports program, so there are plenty of games to go to and cheer them on. They also have a good band program. Most of the campus is accessible by walking and there are plenty of high rise dorms available to live in. There is also alot of off-campus housing for the upperclassmen. Many students are from the Chicago area, so they tend to go back home during the holiday's and the college area looks bleak. Plenty of part-time jobs available in food service and retail. ...

Olmsted, Ohio

I am so excited about my education at Remington that I have to sing its praises just a little. I enrolled in the 8 month pharmacy technician program in late March '08 and graduated with honors at the end of December '08. My instructors, Martin Mathis & Sibyl Carrion were key factors in my current success as a C.Ph.T. They gave me all my necessary requirements in order to pass the pharmacy technician certification exam and they went above & beyond the call of duty to construct in me a solid foundation of business and personal ethics that stabalizes my current career.
I have been attending CSCC for a year now. I had taken a few classes through my twenties but never really decided what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I quit wasting money. I started back in Fall 2007 and my experience has been nothing but wonderful. From the outstanding professors I have encountered, to academic advisors going above and beyond their job duties, CSCC is winner all the way around. Tuition is reasonable (cheapest in the state), so it's a great way to take as many classes as you can before transferring to 4 year, if that's your plan. The classes are packed with a balance workload and really learning something from each course, which makes the experience all the more worthwhile, especially when you're paying for it yourself! I am proud to be attending CSCC and know that I am saving a ton of money but still receiving a top notch education~...

They were up front about everything, were not pushy and very helpful. When trying to figure out which school is going to best meet ones needs and ones questions, it is important to get what you need out of speaking to someone rather than haveing to feel like you have no choice. Walden University was great in answering every question I had, giving me answers and ways to find the answers I needed. They were very knowledgeable and just all around helpful in my choice to attend. I would recommend this school to everyone wanting to attend a college online if it teaches what they are wanting to do.

...

Commonwealth Connections Academy in PA I'm very happy with. The school where I live is closing and I'm not happy with how the school district does stuff! I'm saving money, because I only need to buy supplies that is needed. I still participate in the boxtops program, because I buy many products that have boxtops on. I also save money on cooking meals, my son didn't eat alot of the food in bricks & mortor school and came home hungry. I like this school because I know what he's learning, if he has trouble with a subject I can see it right away. If my son is bored with a subject because it's easy for him, we can work ahead! The live lessons are great and bi-weekly phone calls from teacher are nice. I would recommend this school because there are many benefits!...
