I bought 6 of these for my kids and they are all J-U-N-K. All have either started to do weird things (error messages, only playing the background of the tracks, turn off by themselves) or just completely stopped working all together!

DO NOT BUY!!!

While the Sansa Clip is easy to move and provides good sound, navigation can be difficult. Because of its size, when you have hundreds of songs and nearly as many artists navigating for an individual song, can be time consuming. Still it's an inexpensive mp3 player and that makes it very useful

using this is as simply as click and drag. no need for using itunes. so easy to use, even a squirrel on roller skates can operate it.

I'm not very good with electronic devices but this mp3 player is very user friendly and the quality of themusic is wonderful!! I've used it every day for almost a year and haven't had anyproblems at all

My first mp3 player was this GPX. I used it for almost a year before losing it. Since I have tried several different players but have not been as satisfied. It worked with both Windows and Mac computers and the display was more complete than any other I have tried.

My favorite MP3 player. It's small, light, and has good battery time. It also takes regular AAA batteries which is hard to find in a MP3 player nowadays, most have rechargables which are sealed in and when the batteries go bad you gotta throw the whole player away. The screen is bright and has lots of info. The player will pick up exactly where you were last when turned off and back on which is especially nice when playing longer audio files like podcasts or audio books.

I bought this for my daughter who is 6 for christmas. She uses it every single day! Its not Feb and its like new. She has taken it outside, inside to the park everywhere and its great. VERY DURABLE! It was super easy to set up and add music. Its super easy for her to use. I was a bit worried at 1st because of the price. Being so cheap I thought it might be crap. But its not. I'm planning on going to buy 2 more for my other 2 kids. GREAT BUY!

Very dissapointed. Ordered online for 10 yr old daughters birthday from kmart because local competitor had bad reviews on this type of mp3. Kmart only had 1 review and it was good. WE received it and I noticed it took a little longer to charge than listed. Than it only worked a few hours and quit, never did get it to work again. Call kmart customer service , they were awesome,they even stated that I was the 2nd call he had gotten over this product.He gave me alphaline's number, noone ever answered the phone. Returned it to my closest kmart( 100 miles roundtrip). They refunded me all but my shipping cost and the customer service there stated she too had refunded another one of these. So disappointed daughter had to save up her money till she could afford something with good reviews (an Ipod) from another retailer, Overall I liked kmarts customer service but not the product.

I don't know what the previous reviewer had in mind, maybe he didn't read the directions or was in a rush to get a quick player. Anyway, the eject before using is not an issue. If you have a i-pod nano for example, you get the same display. Big deal.

I wanted to get a budget priced mp3 without supporting a major brand (apple/i tunes store), seeing how I have a vast library of digital music already established for my use. The file movements from my computer to player is very easy and hassle free. Did not have any trouble with navigation though the screens to reach the music.

The video and camera are just okay, but that isn't the reason I bought this devise. If your looking for something more high quality for visuals, spend more and have these applications as its primary use, not the other way around.

A big plus is that my Motorola Razor has the same AC adapter ports as the Eclipse 200 SL. I can use the USB port on my computer or plug it into the wall with my cell phone adapter to...

For a while it worked, quite slow the tactile response, easy to do the wrong things, i.e. not enough resolution on the touch screen.

It should be used with a stylus, not fingers.

No radio. Decent audio quality.

However the main problem is the lack of ANY support.A problem and you are on your own.

After a month, just after the expiration of the Sears warranty (how convenient ..) the unit lost TOTALLY the memory. Now is a brick because no programs capable to handle it's functionalities.

Tried to contact the Alphaline support - nobody answer.

Called Sears ... no information, no contacts, no nothing and of course, no warranty.DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CR...

They know Alphaline doesn't exists anymore. They should sell this unit "as is" for 20$ if they want to be honest with the customers.

I trashed away 60$ and Sears has lost a customer, not for the money but for the lack of support and poor professionality. If they are happy in this way is good to me.

that stylus helps for big handed people (the antenna thing) if it locks up you probably disconnected from computer without "safe to remove device" prompt. press reset button on top. Manual could be better and clock and currrent played song never recalled when powered off. however is inexpensive and has a lot more features than competetors for the money. navigates well enough when familiar with it and playback is good. worth the $40.

I researched these type mp3 players for my 10 yr olds birthday at a local competitor store, there was bad reviews, so I thought I'd go with kmart, they were no reviews at the time. I got it shipped and took awhile before I got it to work when I received it( 5+ hrs, then it completely quit working within 6 hrs time after we opened it. Called kmart customer service, very awesome and helpful, they even commented they had already had another complaint about the product. Couldn't never get through alphaline's customer service. Returned it to kmart for refund, didn't get refunded for shipping cost. The customer rep. there also said that was the 2nd alphaline mp3 player she had that week. So we're saving our money for Ipod, daughter was so disappointed.

It is very rare that I find a product so bad that I feel like I should take the time to write a review about it. I realize that this is not a top of the line MP3 player so I did not expect it to work like one. I did however, expect that it would work. I have talked to the technical support and their advice did not help.

It turns on only when connected to the computer but will not charge.

If you still want to buy this product make sure that you have the proper equipment to charge it. It DOES NOT come with a charging cable just a USB connector. My computer (a new laptop) apparently has a new USB port that does not put out enough power to charge the MP3 player. And my android wall charger USB adapter for my phone puts out too much power.

I will be returning this purchase. I gave this as a gift and it does not work unless plugged in. The internal battery does not charge. Very disappointed.
