I bought one of these over Christmas while they were on sale. Wasn't sure if it would work, given the various radar/laser systems police use these days. However I was very pleased at what the unit picked up.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. I was afraid that it would encourage him to speed but it has actually made him more cautious. It picks up signals for emergency vehicles ( fire trucks, ambulances and construction vehicles) which causes him to slow down and become more aware of his surroundings. Now when i ride in the car with him i am not pressing my own set of invisible brakes on the passenger side.

BOUGHT IT LAST SUNDAY TRY IT IN MY CAR IT SAYS IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT THE DISPLAY IS ULTRA BRIGHT WHAT A JOKE IT IS ULTRA DIM EVEN AT NIGHT COULD NOT EVEN READ IT EVEN WHEN FLASHING WHAT BAND IT DETECTED VERY POOR QUALITY EVEN WITH A MAGNIFY GLASS SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH THIS DETECTOR NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN

hello spent 149$ on this unit,seemed to have it all". but over time it failed and simply gave out a yell,(detection) at everything.soooo u tell me..in a 1-2 year time frame

I have only had this about two weeks, and have not fully "tested" to see if it really works well. But the few times it did alert me to Police in the area I was thankful. I am not advocating exeeding the speed limit by any means, but does keep me in check so I can be aware of my surroundings and speed.

Still dry safe and appropriate speeds, but it does warn me well in advance before I see the cops. It does not pick them all up, but does for 90%+. It is quite inexpensive. I have used it for a year (and longer with a previous model/version) and have not gotten a ticket so far. cross my fingers.

My fiance bought this for a trip we took over the summer. He also has an electronic compass in on the dash. Unfortunately, the compass seems make the radar detector go haywire. It goes off randomly with the alarm that means you are being shot by radar....QUITE annoying.

We unplugged the compass and it is still beyond repair. We did send it back to company because, 2 months later, it blew it's fuse out. The company replaced it but we still can't use the electric compass when it's on.

This product is good for what it is but if you have anything else electic in the car don't buy it!

This particular radar detector is very handy. Wether it's riding in town or on the highway, it can be very useful. The thing i like about this prouduct is that it doesn't wait until you are directly upon a law enforcer before it goes out. It let's you know in advanced that you should decrease your speed and be careful, because a police is near. It can prevent anyone from getting a ticket. And the way things are going in today's society, a ticket is the last thing that any of us want.

I brought this 14 band High performance radar/laser detector for my husband for Christmas. He simply loves the 360 degree he uses it all the time. The range of this detector really picks them up works GREAT! . He would recommend this product.

This little radar detector was on sale this christmas, so I picked one up for my lead foot husband. It has saved us more than a few times. Very accurate and beeps differently between different radar types.
