This dryer is great. We got it along with the washing machine that matches it. My wife can ask me to switch the clothes from the washer to the dryer and not worry about me making a mistake on the settings for the dryer. The dryer will automatically receive the setting data from the washer. All I do is switch over the clothing, throw in a fabric sheet, close the door and hit start. The settings that are transferred over are also adjustable if you want to change something (such as drying time, how hot it gets or even the finishing beep sound).

This machine is also really quiet. It also comes with a center insert so the clothing can be heat dried without the tumbling. We've had no issues at all with this machine, and GE gives a really good warranty with it too.

I strongly recommend getting this dryer with the washer equivalent. They work very well together.
...

The Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II Dryer I just bought was part of a set. The dryer is much more quiet than the washer, The lint trap is easy to reach and clean. The doors do not dent easily.

I have had it for two days and absolute love this set! Clothes come out soft and fluffy, Drying time is reasonable, and it is supposedly energy compliant. If you are on a budget, I really do recommend giving the Whirpool Ultimate Care model a try. It is reliable, inexpensive, and gets you those nice, clean clothes.
...

We purchased a Kenmore Oasis 7.3 capacity dryer and are completely satisified with the ease of operation and load capacity of this dryer. There are so many brands out there and so many negative reviews, it leaves the consumer quite nervous in making this large purchase. We decided to stay with the Kenmore Brand and I have to say so far this dryer has lived up to the kenmore reputation for quality and durability. I would like to add that sears should post on it's website how many units were sold worldwide compared to the number of negative reviews. That way we as consumers can see how many satisfied customers are out there.
...

Purchased both the Kenmore Elite Steam washer and dryer approx. 1 month ago.

This steam dryer is fabulous. It has the steam option that is great for getting those stubborn wrinkles from clothes when forgotten about. Saves ironing time and energy.

the size of this dryer is huge! 7.5 capacity holds 25-30 bath towels easily. Washing the bedding = king size comforters is not an issue.

The settings are so easy. At first a bit overwhelming but everything is 1 -touch...... presets are there and you just walk away. A chime lets you know when it's damp and the final chime when it's done!

We are very pleased with it, the settings it offers is great. There's a setting for more dry, regular dry and light dry, where you don't even have to set the minutes , it monitors itself and shuts off automatically at however many minutes. It's great. I am very happy with it. We all are happy with it. Kenmore done a good job on this dryer and i love it's settings, excellent dryer.
...

The LG 7.0 large capacity dryer is just the one I wanted. It is so very easy to operate and holds a large load of clothes at a time. A friend told me about the LG Appliances and when I comparison shopped, Sears had a great deal for the washer and dryer on sale. It sensor dries the clothes so that they don't over dry and get too wrinkled. I have been more than pleased that I selected this dryer. I am admitedly not mechanically inclined and want something that is easy to operate and found it with this dryer.
...

we got the centennial 7.0 cubic feet electric dryer. it is great! it has a sensor to tell when clothes are done and a wrinkle prevention tumble at the end of drying time. it is also big enough to dry our queen size bedspread.

i only gave it 4 stars because a couple of time it got blue coloring on some of our laundry. the back of the inside has a smear of blue. i don't know if that is intentional, or only on ours or what, but i didn't like seeing it on our clothes. we had to throw the items away. it was impossible to get out.
...

After researching all brands for 2 months we decided to go with the L/G 2301 models W/D. We used ****************, the Web, basically all the well known test lab's and the save you money and not get riped off guy Clark Howard. Our old and I mean old 25+ year old Kenmore Dyrer and Whirlpool Washer 20+ still worked fine. As with all things we knew it was just a matter of time a new W/D was in our future. I just recently retired and my wife and I were looking for a good sale and at ways to save $$ on our monthly bills for our future. If you keep looking you can fined a sale at any retailer. With us it was Sears mainly due to my retiree discount. Best overall purchase we have made in awhile. Great price but the quality of performance of the L/G is a shock to me. After a 20 year old machine I expected some improvements, but not to this extent. Almost no use of water and our clothes come out super clean. The dryer senses the clothes are dry and stops. Drying time is cut in1/2. Our water bill...
...

This dryer has basically been trouble-free. The only issue is an ongoing on that was never able to be fixed by Bosch. The problem is the light bulb in the dryer only last a few days. It has been replaced several times and the technician suspects an electrical issue with the dryer that prematurely blows the bulb. However, a root cause could never be determined. So, basically we just use it without a light.

The tub is large and some times too large for small loads. Items such as sheet and quilt easily fit in the dryer but tend to ball up because the tub is too large and turns to slow. The the tub turned faster the centrifigual force would keep the laundry forced out against the tub walls. Instead the clothes tumble easily and roll into a ball. Therefore, to dry sheets and quilts you have to manually stop the machine, remove the laundry, and undo the ball about every 5 mintues until they are dry.

The only complain otherwise about the Bosch products in general is that you...
...

ChrisWaz says "The GE Profile gas dryer (DPSE810GG) holds a lot and dries fast." about GE Profile 7.0 cu. ft. Super Capacity Gas Dryer - DPSE810GG

Looked at many different models, but in the end chose the GE Profile gas dryer (DPSE810GG). We had got a front loading washer (Frigidaire GLTF2940FS), but 7.0 cu. ft. dryers with glass front doors that match the look of front-loading washers were too deep to fit into the space we had. So, we had to choose between getting a 5.2 cu ft. dryer with a glass door that matches the washer better, or getting a more traditional dryer with a steel door instead of glass, but that is 7.0 cu. ft.

We chose to get the bigger dryer with the traditional door, and are happy we did. The depth of this one is about 3" less than comparable 7.0 cu. ft. dryers with a glass front door, so it fit in the space available. There is plenty of room for our loads, and everything dries very quickly. The moisture sensor seems to work well. When you choose a setting and start the machine it tells you it will take XX minutes, but the moisture sensor tells you when it is done, and it is usually in half the time that was estimated....
...

It has simple controls that even my kids can run. The salesperson talked me into the 3 year service contract, which I was leary of, because I think any product should work for at least 3 years without breaking down. So, I definitely will be making sure I book the yearly "check-up", so I don't feel like I wasted my money on this "service" contract. I bought this product based on Kenmore's reputation of quality and reliability...so I;m expecting this dryer to last for many years.
...

Whether you're interesting in a dishwasher, laundry machines, small kitchen appliances, ranges/cooktops, tankless water heater, power tools, Bosch is the one of the brand that will forever stand behind its name. They have always manufactured products that not only last a lifetime, but carry the most high-end designs, without having to pay and arm and a leg for it.

I've purchased the Bosch Axxis Condensation Dryer for my condo unit and I'm very impressed with it. It's a 24" dryer so it fits in any tight closet, below counter or other tight spaces you wished to have laundry units installed. The Axxis dryer can be paired with the Axxis washer (Model# WAS20160UC) as stacked unit or side by side. I currently have my stacked in a tight closet space with a stacking kit that has a pull-out tray (Model# WTZ11300UC).

We have had our washer and dryer set for several months now. We have really liked them. Before this, we had the old style dryer. Our old dryer seemed like it took days to get our clothes dry. This one is lightning fast. I like that it has the technology that senses how wet or dry the clothes are and adds or takes away time if needed. I also like the dewrinkle cycle. We use it all the time. The only thing I have had to hassle with on occasion is redistributing my larger bulky comforters so that the inner areas dry adequately. We did not purchase the pedastal, but not having it has been fine. Perhaps one day when are older and our aching bones and joints kick into gear we will consider getting the pedastals. We spent a looong time researching dryers and finally settled on this one. We are so glad we chose to go with it...no regrets. If we had to do over again, we'd still buy this one. Very pleased :)
...

amworkman says "New GE Dryer works great but lint filter is poorly designed." about GE dryer

I replaced an older Kenmore dryer with a new GE dryer (Model #DWSR463EG6) to match the GE washer I bought. I wish now I had kept my old Kenmore. The GE works great but the lint filter is awful. It is too small and right in front of the door, so when it fills up during the drying cycle it often overflows back onto the clothes, or when you open the door and pull out clothes, the lint from it gets on the clean clothes. So, the new routine is.... always clean the filter before taking out the clothes.

The filter also has gaps in the bottom of it, so a lot of lint falls down underneath the filter when you pull it out to clean it. This mean lint is piling up somewhere in the bottom of the dryer or on the floor underneath the dryer. Either way, I am not happy with the lint filter design at all.

While I love the HE5 washer, the dryer leaves me a bit disappointed. It makes a thumping or clacking noise as the barrel rotates, like there was a baby shoe in it, regardless of the loads size or content.

But what bothers me most is that even with an average size load some of the clothes will still come out damp, usually around seams. Some materials seem prone to staying damp, especially cotton. I believe, because the heat being used is lower that what one would expect - So "low" would be "extra low", or even "extra, extra low". When I have to put a load of five or six jeans through two 40 minute cycles get them completely dry on "low", that irks me. My old Kenmore dried everything just fine on low in 45 minutes. So either learn to add time or increase the heat.

I do like is the feature that rotates the barrel every now and then, after the load is done, to keep the clothes from sitting and wrinkling.

My Kenmore Oasis dryer has all the features that one could want in a dryer. I love the many choices for drying cycles but also the allowance for a timer over-ride. It has a large tub, a lighted interior, and lint screen right up front. The large door allows easy access to the inside of the dryer. There are temperature and dryness modifiers as well as signals for damp dry, wrinkle guard, and end of drying (this last one can be turned off if needed).

I am very picky about laundry and this is the dryer for me!
...

Leticia787 says "Horrible-stay away!!!!!!" about Kenmore Dryer

I purchased this dryer to replace my old one (Maytag), which was working perfectly after 9 years of use, but I wanted a new dryer to match my new washer....big mistake. I bought this Kenmore one, and on the first day of use it burned 2 comforters and stopped working. I had to wait 1 week for the repair, and once again, it burned more clothes. One of the burning episodes was a pair of sports underwear which was melted and found stuck to the back panel of the dryer. This same pair of underwear had been dried many times without problems in my old dryer. Then, within the 2 weeks I owned it, it left most of my clothes damp even after taking forever to dry, or burned it. Then, it stopped heating for the second time- 1 week from first repair. At this moment, I decided that I did not want this junk, and returned it. I would definitely warn you- keep away from this item!!!
...

trojan11 says "Worse ever Dryer" about Kenmore HE3 Dryer 26 87872

I bought this dryer 2 months ago. Since I got the dryer, I had 4 replacements in 2 months time frame. Every single installation of the dryer had different problem:

1. 1st install: the door was not locking properly (mechanical issue)

2. 2nd install: after few minutes, the machine pops out a message error (need service)

3. 3rd install: the machine would not even power up!

4. 4rd install: the machine only worked for 2 weeks, now it is not even heating up!

This is my worst experience ever and Sears is not even supporting and helping me to get an exchange free of charge!!!!

Thanks,

A very fustrated customer which will never buy Sears again!!!!!!
