We bought the Olymic Cottage tent, as my husband wanted a tent that he could stand up in. We also wanted one large enough for our family to use instead of having to pack 4 different tents when we go camping.

We liked the tent because of the size. It's very roomy, and we can easily fit our family of 8 inside without stepping on or tripping over each other.

We had to take the first one we bought back, because the zipper on the door broke after about 4 uses, and the poles that are used in the popout closets splintered (the tension on these poles once assembled is just too tight, regardless of what you do to try to loosen the tension).

There were no problems with returning it. However, the replacement tent was a bit problematic as well. The issue with the poles was the same, the issues with the flimsy zippers was the same. The rain cover on the replacement tent does not fit like the one on the first tent did either.

I would recommend looking for another model of tent if your are going......

After reading so many reviews i was skeptical, but decied id try it anyway...I saved my recipt incase it didnt stand up to the elements ..Paid $199.99 at my local Kmart and took it up to Narrowsburg NY campgrounds. It poured rain while we were building it and the same for the entire wknd. I expected it to filter like some of the reviews had said, but NOPE! we were dry all wknd. Yay! It took four of us about 30minutes to put it together. One to read out the directions and three to hold it up while its being built. But thats only cuz it was the 1st time..Ive labled them and so i expect the next time it shouldnt be longer than 15minutes. I love it!!! everyone can walk freely without having to hunch over. I used one queen air bed on the left side of the tent and used the dividing panel...I set up two twin size air beds on the right side and a normal 36" round patio table with four chairs in the middle to play board games and we still had enough space to walk around without stepping onto anyones......

I have used this tent extensively for four years and have been very satisfied with its performance. It is roomy enough for my queen or twin air mattress, all of my gear, and my dog. This value priced three season tent has been in rain, heat, and heavy fog with no major hiccups, although I wish the rainfly covered more of the tent. You will get some condensation inside your tent if them temp drops below 40*F and the walls will get damp in heavy rain. But for the price I'm not complaining.
...

This tent, designed to sleep 10 adults, caught the eye of every customer coming in our store all day. It has two closets, a divider that creates a 60-40 split between the two ends of the tent, and even has a screened ceiling with a separate rain fly, so if the weather is nice you can lay in your tent and watch the stars. (And hope against a midnight rainstorm.) You get four built-in storage pouches, plus one pouch and one three-tier shelf that hook in, and if your idea of camping doesn't include leaving electricity behind, there's a little hatch next to the door so you can bring in your power cord but still close the door at night. Did I mention it comes with a Velcro patch for the (included) battery-operated light? I did run into quite a serious problem tho: the instructions are extremely brief, and they're attached to the storage case. Yes, sewn into the lining of the rolling storage bag. I assume that's so you won't lose them, but if I didn't have a counter to put the bag on,......

I have NEVER camped before, but my husband has. My only instruction when purchasing a tent was, it must be a Coleman (he has one that is still in use and it's 40 YEARS old).
We used it this week at Lake Erie and was super easy to set up. It was up through tornado WARNINGS and then thunderstorms the entire night. I will not say it was leak proof but if you could collect the water that did come inside there would be about a cup. I did notice some came under the fly through the net during the fierce storms, but just a few drops. I slept wonderfully thru it all (after the tornado warning was over).
Today I sat it up to make sure it was good and dry and completely set it up and tore it down by myself. Set up time probably 15 - 20 min.

A queen size air mattress, 2 chairs and a fold up table and we still had room to change clothes and move around enough.

GREAT BUY!! I even had some people come ask me about how well it done during the storm who were in an AIR STREAM trailer and wanted to get......

to be fair i should say when i used this tent for the first time the weather was terrible. there was wind and rain. I would recommend this tent to my family and friends....

We ordered the product and were very exited to get it and start the camping season. We even set it up in our living room the day we got it. During the last week of July, just a few days after receiving the tent, we took it camping. And as the norm, it rained our very first night out. The tent immediately started leaking around the seams on both sides. Small pools of water that eventually turned into rivers began to form at either end of the tent. We were very unhappy with the tent and sent it back. We are big Coleman fans, but were very unhappy with this tent....

This tent is so easy to set up and there's plenty of room in it for our family of 4, a queen size air mattress and all of our duffle bags. It's just as easy to take down as it is to set up and you can fit it all back in the bag again for storage. I would totally recommend this tent to my friends and family. We absolutely love it!!!!!...
