Both sears.com and mysears.com provide an abundant source of useful product information to help the customers decide on what to buy from Sears. Visiting your local store after doing careful research -- especially when buying an expensive and complex product such as a major appliance -- makes it easier for both the customer and the sales person.

However, the product reviews on the sears.com product pages apparently are frequently being turned off for maintenance and upgrades after midnight. So Sears thoughtfully also posts these reviews on mysears.com. On Sears.com when you click on the read reviews link, and it happens to be working, you get reviews for the brand and model you are looking for on the product page. Unfortunately, reviews on mysears.com, make no reference brand, model number, item number, etc. Therefore the reviews that appear as "Freestanding 30-inch electric range" could refer to a hundred different models. Sears takes a big priced item, prices it very cheaply, such as a TV, sells out quickly and keeps the ad up for weeks for the draw. They also continue to take orders for the item without even having it, so you wait & wait only to find out you're not even getting the product. They appease you by offering a different item at a 5% discount. I find this to be a horrible business practice. If I wanted something else I would have purchased it. Now everywhere I look for the item I want I still see Sears advertisements come up with the same item cheaper than anyone else and they've been out for over a week. Good false advertisement! Now I know why they always get 1 or 2 stars. I will never shop Sears again. I've been burned too many times now!

I had recently gotten an old Step Back cabinet and the knobs on the drawer had the wrong hardware. It has old glass knobs on the drawer and I wanted to use the same one's. I went to a local hardware store and was not able to get the correct screws and wing nuts needed to stabilize the knobs. I stopped at the Sears Hardware in Hewitt, NJ on my way home, walked into the hardware section and was immediatly approached by a very nice gentlemen who asked if I needed help and in about 2 minutes time I had the correct hardware. Couldn't wait to run home and put the knobs back on the cabinet.

Needing a replacement for my gas cooking range, I perused a copy of Consumers Report where a gas range made by Hotpoint received top recommendation. After carefully examining all the features e.g. dimensions, burner output, cooktop features, oven features and other technical details, I compared them with other brands and decided a Hotpoint best suited my needs. My wife also liked the Hotpoint model RGB790DEPBB which is finished in a gloss black and is self-cleaning.

On the internet, I appraised this gas range from many places throughout the United States and found the best deal at my local Sears store, the closest rival being $49 more. Taking into consideration that Sears would also deliver it free, remove it from it's packing, place it in location, connect it to gas supply, test for gas leaks before leaving and also taking the old used range with them for disposal, there is no doubt this deal from Sears could not be beaten.

The customer service was excellent; very helpful staff. The gentleman that helped me locate the leaf blower was very helpful and even carried to the leaf blower to the checkout counter.

The sales representative was extremly helpful on info about opening a Sears credit card and the different payment options (after I opened the Sears credit card) for today's purchase. The sales (cashier) representative's number is 058719002288.

You can tell both these employees enjoy their employment at Sears. I hope comments like the one I just wrote, gives these type of Sears employees some rewards/insentives to continue to go the "extra mile" for future customers.

I submitted a rebate online in January, but never got anything back. Called in October, and was told that there was no rebate offer available at the time of purchase. I gave them the rebate offer number as shown in the rebate form, they claimed that was not a valid number. I offered to email them the rebate form from Sears.com, they refused. I called Sears Customer Solutions; the representative there told me that rebates are oursourced to an external company, and Sears has no control over how rebates are handled. I have to say that Sears made a very bad choice in choosing its rebate service provider: this is going to hurt Sears in the long run -- now I have zero confidence in any rebate offered by Sears.

I placed an order with TheGreatIndoors.com (a Sears company) on October 11th (Sunday 7:30 AM). I still have not got anything from the order. Someone called me from Sears in a couple of hours and confirmed the order, to notify that is being processed and I would get an email soon. Nothing happened till Friday. I called them on Friday in the evening, the customer serivce person told me that the order was being processed and that I should get an email within hours or by next day morning. I did not get any email or calls. I called them back on Monday, October 19th and that is when the cheats started playing their expert games. They have trasfered my call around 8 times to people in irrevlant department, hung up my phone, put me on voice mail and have abused me very rudely. They would not transfer me to a manager. They may be using the "bait and switch" technique or something similar to lure customers. You cannot abuse anyone for buying products. I will not rest until this is resloved.

Most of the time I buy shoes for my daughter at payless because they have variety, and the size she needs. Almost every time I go to the store I find what I need for her, besides that, the shoes are confortable for her and that is important because she is running and playing all the time. I have 3 grown up children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter one year old and am constantly buying Birthday gifts and of course Christmas is around the corner, so I am constantly searching for fashion concious clothing and toys at reasonable prices.

I am also a Plus Size, and am always surprised to find fashionable clothing and shoes for myself that actually fits, everyone where I work always asks where I get my clothing and shoes and I am always happy to say " SEARS" of course.

I also have a fashion consious 12 year old Granddaughter who is always happy with my choice od clothing for her.

While traveling to Maine for vacation, the bride of 40 years and I had to stop along the way to purchase a photo chip to take lots of pictures of our vacation to the East Coast. So being a loyal Sears/KMart shopper, we stopped in Terre Haute, Indiana and went to the local KMart to purchase the chip. We were greeted very cordially by several employees as we entered the store and I quickly went to Electronics and purchased the chip, paid for it a scurried to the car to put it in the camera. Darned if it didn't work!! So I trudged back into the store (thank goodness I checked it before I left), back to Electronics and told my tale of woe - it didn't work. The male salesperson smiled and said no problem, let's get another one and check it before you leave this time. Lo and behold, it did work and I thanked him for all his cordial help on the return. I even snapped a photo of him and on the way out told the store manager how wonderful his employees were to a weary traveler. So...

I have 3 Girls and first found Land's End online when my oldest was a baby I was hooked but sometimes I needed to see things and touch them before I bought. Along came Sear's who partnered with Land's End and a love affair began! I always shop their clothing lines I purchase 3 to 4 quality pieces a season for my girls.

I still have one dress my oldest who is now 6 1/2 wore when she was just 3 and it is still like new! It was her favorite now my middle daughter wears it and hopefully when the youngest is a bit older she will wear it also! I never shy away from this brand it holds up to washes and rough and tumble play, and paint and color just blend in with the patterns! I love it! The cotton is super soft!

When I am beginning any shopping expedition, my first question to myself is "Can I find the item at Sears?" I always check for availability, price and quality at Sears before I go any where else. My reasons are a little philanthropic. I guess that that is okay.

I love the hiring practices of our Sears store in Burlington, Vermont. I love the fact that when I watch "Extreme Makeover" Sears donates an immense amount of merchandise to families. I like the idea of supporting a company that supports our own communities.

I am able to find items, from select clothing, appliances and tools, that are reasonably priced and come with a great warrenty. Ya just can't go wrong.

I am a definite comparison shopper to the max. I love to shop! I consider shopping the female version of hunting. As a woman, I outfit my family and my home. I am always looking for the best way to look like I am a woman with champagne taste YET I am on a beer budget.

Chadwicks, because of their prices, enables me to take my expensive classic suits and update them seasonally with accessories and blouses. Some of my suits I have had for years. Yet with the right top, scarf or accessory I date my look to today.

My suits are either, Talbots or Ann Taylors....are you asking yourself how I was able to attain such pricey classics? I am so glad you asked! SOME of them I bought at the respective store on clearance. Others I bought, you guessed it, at second hand clothing stores!

My motto: "looking like a million does not have to BE a million spent" I have better uses for my money!

Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with friends, and even connect with old friends! I love being able to keep up with all of my friends from both high school and college, as well as even a few former teachers and family members! My former teachers have been able to reconnect with hundreds of their former students! The ability to share pictures is nice when you haven't seen someone in a while, or if you've done something spectacular (like skydiving! Everyone wants to see those pictures!) If you haven't tried it, do it! :)

Flights are ranked by both price AND "comfort level" which is calculated by a whole host of factors -- everything from historical on-time data, average age of fleet, rank of airline for lost baggage, average leg room, average security wait time at airport, seats filled percentage, airport gate location, length of layovers...nearly everything! What a great idea for a site. mapmyrun.com allows you to create a free account, type in the town you live in and post your routes that you like to run or walk. If you want to save them and share them with others you can. You can also see other routes that people have used around your town to help you plan out different types of workouts. You can also list if the route is a hard one or an easy one. You can list if it consists of being on a sidewalk, road, grass, pavement, etc. It'll tell you how far you've gone as well. Great for being on vacation too, if you dont know the area that well you can look where you are, look at other routes that people in that town have used and go for a nice jog.

Ok, something good that Sears has going for them is the awesome over-the-intercom sales announcements. I absolutely love it. As soon as I hear the announcements, it makes me want to hurry to that particular department to check out the awesome sale. Sometimes the sale lasts 15 minutes, and sometimes the sale lasts two hours. But either way, I think it's a neat idea because no one else is really doing that. Props to you, Sears. Keep it up! Finance sites are always cluttered and ugly or have narrow pages. I have not found any of them with the qualities that google has integrated. Its a young new site, unlike the decades old yahoo finance, but its already beat them to the punch. This site utilizes ajax code which makes it super snappy. You can click and move and update things on graphs in a moment. There are no wait times, and even the graphs update in real time, on the screen. The data is great, the quality of the layout is great, and I used this site for all of my needs when it comes to investing.
