shelahquilts says "Kenmore dryer is the economical choice." about Kenmore Dryer

Although this was not the most inexpensive model on the floor, it is the most efficient model for the price. It has just enough bells and whistles to give you choices but not so much that it is confusing or unnecessary. The dryer has a light in the tub area to help you find that missing sock, an easy to reach and clean lint filter, and a smooth instrument panel that is easy to clean. The dials are easy to read and operate. Some minor things that might effect a buyer: the machine sits farther away from the wall that our previous dryer. That may or may not effect people depending on where their machine is located. Also, know where you need the dryer to vent: from the side, back or bottom. We were not asked when we purchased the dryer and it made the dryer a little more difficult to install. The installers were successful but it might need to be addressed at the warehouse or factory before the machine is delivered.
...

AngelaWittman says "Kenmore Ultra Wash not the one to purchase." about Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher

I purchased a Kenmore Ultra Quiet Dishwasher in July of 2008. It did not perform well: it was not quiet and it left coffee stains on cups, and waterspots on tableware and dishes even though I used the recommended detergent and followed manufacturers instructions. The dishwasher stopped working two days ago; the one year warranty expired 3 months ago and now I am stuck with a white elephant in my kitchen. I will not be purchasing any Kenmore appliances in the future, even though I had been a Kenmore loyalist for 25 years. I am very dissatisfied with the product and resent having to pay a service technician $75.00 to come to my home.
...

Our Kenmore washing machine died so we read washing machine reviews for a while then went to Sears planning to just get a similar one. The Salesperson pointed out that with the $200 rebate from PG&E this model was only slightly more than the basic Kenmore model. Plus there is the added savings over time from the reduction in water and power usage.
We have only been using it for about 4 days now, but it seems to do an excellent job and with very little detergent. If I notice any problems I will post again later. But so far, I'm very happy with it.
...

jdb123 says "Does not live up to the reviews here" about Whirlpool 4.0 cu. ft. I.E.C. Super Capacity Plus Top-Load Washer

I have been looking for the last two months and finally settled on this washer based on the reviews here. I was satisfied with the features, yet concerned about not having control of the water level. It was delivered yesterday and I have run a few loads with it. First and foremost, this think is LOUD. Everything works correctly, it is leveled properly and the spin cycle is not the issue. (Spin is actually the quietest cycle.) It sounds like there was no effort made whatsoever to insulate or reduce the noise in any way. The switches between each cycle are very loud and clunky, the pump to drain the tub is as loud as a leaf blower (A bit of a stretch, but almost) I just wonder what effect all this rough action will have on the longevity of the machine. I previously had a Kenmore 70 series washer for the last 10 years and this new unit is twice as loud as that was. On another note, I was concerned about the "auto load sensing" feature. I was assured that...
...

I have had my Kenmore for a few years. I figured I'd give some tips incase you were considering getting one. Just FYI: when getting a front loader, be prepared to have clothes fall on the floor when trying to get them to the dryer. It's frustrating but at least you don't have to stretch if the washer is on a stand. I do recommmend the stands by the way. So convenient. Also, my sister taught me a trick. Keep the washer door open between washes. It's the only way to keep the mold away. It's not an ideal solution but other than weekly bleach and vinegar rinses and wipedowns of the washing drum, this certainly helps. I don't think the mold problem is exclusive to Kenmores, I think it's a front loading problem in general. Other than that, it cleans the clothes nicely.
...

Chopper7 says "It has done everything that I have asked it to do!!" about Hamilton Beach 14-Cup Food Processor

I have only had this processor for a short time, but I love it already. I have read reviews about similar Hamilton Beach processors that look almost the same in the picture. I have had none of the problems that they have had with their processor. I have used both the slicing/shredding disc and the chopper/mixer blade. Both blades work great and with no leaking, splashing, or any of the other problems that the reviewers had with the bowl and top.

I rinse each part as I remove it with cool water. Later, when finished processing, I hand wash the processor parts, I know with a much smaller processor, I had trouble cleaning and sometimes had to use a Q-tip for some of the hard to get to parts. I have not had that problem with this processor. I hope that it last a long, long time....

bigfootnotary says "Animal Fur Kryptonite!" about Dyson DC25 Animal Ball Upright Vacuum

I just purchased my Dyson this weekend at a Friends and Family event. I had been looking at the Dyson for some time, just couldn't make the leap! I decided that the $437 bucks was worth it in order to make cleaning less of a chore.

The DC25 was easy to unpack and assemble. It literally took 3 minutes and a little common sense, no frustration.

I love the fact that the DC25 Animal came with the turbine tool, it is an additional 69.99 if purchased seperately. There is a crevice tool that has a brush or just slide it down if you dont want it. I really love the tools because it allows me to clean the kitty house fast and pick up the little pieces of litter that seem to get in every crack. I read some other reviews regarding the Turbine attachment that mentioned when it is pressed down upon the brush stops, not true. Dyson probably was challenged with this issue and they added a vent to the side of the tool that also has a filter. This allows you to press as hard as you want...
...

MandPS says "Kenmore 19.0 cu.ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator Model 69974 " about Kenmore Kenmore Bisque 19.0 cu.ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator Energy Star

This works well and is quiet. The problem lies in the design. When you open the door to the refrigerator, you cannot see what is inside - you literally have to bend over or scrouch down to see. Two more big cons are: the top area of the inside has a water dispenser across the front which greatly reduces your vision of the top shelf items and there is a huge panel for the temperature controls and the light that take up so much space you can't even fit a milk carton in without bringing the top shelf way, way down. So even though it is 19 cu. ft., it's actually more like 15 cu.ft of space. When you see this item in the store, we suggest you stand right in front of it as you would at home and open the door - you will find you are looking straight at the freezer door. This is absolutely the worst designed refrigerator we have ever had and we had to return it because of this.

We highly recommend not buying this item. We understand that this particular Kenmore was built...
...

We recently replaced a Bosch front loader purchased in 2004. It still worked but my non matching dryer went out and I wanted to get a larger capacity set. We decided on the LG due to the warranty and the JD Powers awards. So far (2+months) I could be happier with it. My clothes smell cleaner than ever and come clean! I can fit a lot in the washer. The dryer works great as well. I love all the features that are on these units. It does weight the clothes and show you how much detergent you need...kind of a cool feature! I have had no smell with the washer but I do leave the door open as I did with my Bosch and never had issues. We recently purchased the pedistals when a store had them on sale. They are nice but not needed. It does make it easier to get items out and not forget socks in them. I would recommend the WM2301 washer and matching dryer!
...

This is the first deep fryer I ever purchased. It fry's the food. The first drawback, the cord is too short, this fryer can only be used in front of a outlet. The second drawback, the cord keeps detaching from the base of the fryer. Third drawback the holder for the basket that clips to the fryer is flimsy which makes the basket tilt while hooked to the side of the fryer. The basket itself is flimsy and woobly so you have to be real careful when handling as not to spill the oil, plus the handle gets very hot. The oil is hard to drain because there is no lip on the fryer. Basically I used this fryer a couple to times, then gave it away, it was just easier to fry in a skillet on the stove.
...

The Kenmore Elite with the bottom freezer drawer is a great refrigerator, sleek in design, clean lines, stands out in the Kitchen as a workhorse of a frig, yet it is so very loud due to the ICE MAKER. The ice maker is the worst I have ever heard. My kitchen is on the first level and I hear the thing on the 2nd floor bedroom. The ice gets stuck daily and needs removed from the machine to clean out the bin before it fills.

Have to cancel cycle and start over when this happens. Clothes can easily become wrinkled if I don't catch early in the cycle. Once certain cycles are set, you cannot adjust controls.

I researched washes for 2 months trying to find the right one; small yet large enough to hold large items like blankets; decided on this size as it was in-between. I am mortified that I cannot control the water level. What moron designed this?? I can set all kinds of temps; `types of washes', mess with time but NOT WATER LEVEL. With large loads, tis is exasperating as the water does not cover the clothes. Even if I mess witht the load, or rearrange it, I might get another inch of water, then it shuts off and continues `washing'. UGH!!
...

MaryLaBotz says "I love my Kenmore Elite microwave because of it's size(2 cu.ft) " about Kenmore Microwave Ovens

The Kenmore Elite microwave oven is an asset in our household. We've been without a microwave for a long 3 months. This microwave is better than our last one because of it's size (2 cu. ft) and simplicity. I can heat up my casserole dishes because they actually fit! The features of sensory baking are new to me and at first I wasn't sure I liked them or they even mattered. But I save time and guesswork when heating/thawing items. The price was not bad either: $160, but I got one from the sale rack with a scratch on it for $100. I love it!

I also appreciate the friendly service at the Clovis Sierra Vista Mall Sears. Austin was wonderful! He deserves an A+.Thank you for your input and helping me decide on this microwave!
...

crandreww says "LG WM2101H Great Washer!" about LG washers

I bought this washer when we sold our former home and purchased a new one. I had a newer washer and dryer pair, that we sold with our former home, they were the Maytag Epic Pair, I liked that pair, but as part of the offer on our home, the buyer wanted the pair, and in todays economy, we were willing to conced on the Maytag pair. We researched several Washers and Dryers, and decided on this LG washer and a matching dryer, and we are very satisfied with them. Easy to use, and does a teriffic job cleaning my families clothes. I would recommend this washer to a friend,
...

Bought the Kenmore 665 Elite to replace the beat up, 15+ year old Whirlpool dishwasher that came with the house when we bought it. Paid a little extra thinking we would be getting a nice appliance. WRONG! Our dishes were cleaner using the old dishwasher. We've had techs out six or seven times to replace multiple parts, but they can't seem to get it to work. I've had to call so often that I have the escalation dept's phone number on my speed dial. One tech said the water was too cold, another told us it was too hot. Pretty obvious at this point that we got ourselves a lemon (thank god we got the extended warranty). We've had good luck with Kenmore stuff in the past, but we got chumped this time. We just want a dishwasher that works at this point, so I'm going to have to press the issue and see about getting a replacement. Headed over to the store tonight (Colonial Park, Pennsylvania) to have a face-to-face with the Appliance Manger and ruin his evening. My wife had the brilliant...
...
