My Sunday School classroom has been without air conditioning this summer. I have standing oscillating fans for the students, but I am too far away to feel the direct relief. This Desktop Wind Tower offers the perfect solution. It is quiet, so it is not distracting. The split level allows continuous air flow while providing all the benefits of oscillation.

Because the default setting is "high" power, It is a quick task to get the room set before students arrive and I remain comfortable throughout the study period. It has been a lifesaver....

CentralAustinAnnie says "Lasko 16" Pedestal Fan fits in a corner and cools the whole room" about Lasko 16 in. Adjustable Pedestal Fan

I just bought and brought home the Lasko 16" Oscillating Pedestal Fan and already I've stopped sweating! It was easy to assemble: 5 steps with 5 parts! Anyone could put this together in a snap! It has 3 adjustable speeds from low (1: great for air circulation) to high (3: for comforatble sleep during this hot Summer weather).

I first chose the Lasko 16" because of the price (so affordable - only $24.99) but now that I have it home and set up, I love it for even more reasons!

I like that I had an option for color. There are three that were offered: black, white and an off white/grey color. I chose the grey to match with my retro-style bedroom decor.

What else? Easy assembly. Adjustable Height. 3 speeds. Oscillating/rotating fan head. And it's super quiet. In short, it's everything I was looking for in a bedroom fan. I highly suggest the Lasko 16" stand up fan.
...

Many years ago I started building in my garage and I bought three of these fans and found they moved a great amount of air around and cooled the area off well.

Lakewood is a name that has been around for many years and their reputation for commercial grade fans is well established. Many have money back guarantees if complete staisfaction is not achieved. I have bought these fans in sizes from 6 inch to 20 inch and they all move a great amount of air. I ran one on high speed the entire summer for over three months one time in a house without a.c. and the brute just kept on keepin' on !

In my garage I took the contoured base of three of these fans and have them mounted on the wall onto two hooks so that the legs sit atop these hooks and the fans point down into the garage so no space is lost. They are all set on high speed and plugged into a single HD power strip so that one switch turns all of them on simultaneously and it is a great set-up.

Any place with extreme heat conditions could...
...

I have owned this tower fan for almost 10 years and use it at least 20 hours a day. I use it on low speed mostly to move air into an area with central A/C to an area with a window unit. However, when I open the closed sliding glass door from my master bedroom to my home office, and turn on the window unit in the office, I put this on full speed and it fills the 11' X 14' warm room with cool air and evacuates the warm air within minutes. I also use it at night on low when sleeping since I like a steady breeze. The regular Lasko fans on high speed move a lower volume of air than this one on low.
...

Great way to cool down in the warm weather. Doesn't take the place of AC but is just right for the weather here in Socal. I like the remote so I can change the setting or turn it off and on. Just the right size for a rather small room. It fits in like another peice of furniture...

Overall a very nice fan. I like these oscillating box fans as they tend to take up less room than other types of oscillating fans. It moves air very nicely, is very light, and the remote is an added bonus. I just wish they offered it in a bigger diameter like the Sunpentown SPT SF-1413....

If you want a fan that really blows then this is it. Great fan. I have had a couple of these and not only do they work extremely well, they also last a long time. I used one of these 24hrs a day 365 days a year and it lasted me over 2 years. Amazing actually. Lakewood fans are extremely well built and this one really throws a lot of air. Great, great fan if you want a fan to cool you and not tease you....

Lakewood simply makes the best fans. This is my third Lakewood. The first was the 16'stand up which finally died after ten years of nearly constant use. The second a box fan that Ive had for six years and is used everyday and still going strong. The newest one is as good as the others and is much better than the Lasko i bought from target that the motor strength decreased almost immediately and was more expensive. Most other fans are ridiculously expensive and simply not worth it. $22 is a great deal for the longevity of Lakewood products....

I bought the fan for my home from a yard sale at my son's school.
We tested it and it sounded fine so we brought it home. I set it up in my kitchen and found that there was a loud rattle so i had to tape a block to the back to make it stop and it is loud on the high speed.
My son took it for his room and he said it was good to sleep with.
So overall I would say it is good if you are using it in a small room.
I would recommend it...

This fan has a lot of whistles and bells including a remote control. I like that I can set the timer so that it will automatically shut off. Sometimes pressing a button on the remote does not trigger the the expected function (for example a single press might actually register as two) but this is not such a big deal. I would buy it again....

I like this fan. It is quiet, efficient at moving air, and has some very nice features. The rotating grill is a super improvement. The only problem is that the base is too narrow and it falls over backwards easily. I will be attaching some form of extensions of the feet to mine to make it safer. The manufacturer needs to address this problem with the very next model, because I would hate to see a great fan scuttled by such a simple problem....
