No more sweating and tossing all night. No more having to take 2 showers during the day just to stay cool. I installed it alone in under 30 minutes. Directions were easy to read and follow. And the remote, it makes it all too easy.</p> <p>It is a well built, powerful motor and powerful fan A/C for the money.  It cooled my houseboat all summer and only cost around $22 more on my utility bill than without it.  I love this A/C and am very glad that I purchased it.  It will make my days on the lake in the hot summer sun so much more bearable-cause as you and I both know- theres no shade tree to cool off under when you are in the middle of the lake!</p>... It sounds like any air conditioner I have ever heard but has a very powerful fan that shoots cold air into the middle of my office.</p> <p>I installed the unit in wall instead of a window. The body and innards are easily separated with 4 screws and it's designed to have the guts slide out on a nice tray. Loved that because I was easily able to frame and seal it into the wall and then slide the guts right back in without having to maneuver all 40 lbs of it at once.</p> <p>Also it says no extension cord, but you can definitely use an extension cord as long as it's the right gauge. Just use a dedicated circuit and make sure it's at least 12 gauge. </p>... The cool air shots upward instead of straight out, which helps circulate the air better than older models. </p> <p>This unit cooled my 150 sq. ft. bedroom easily and kept it dry through the night. No waking up in the middle of the night in a humid sweat.</p> <p>It also cooled my entire 720 sq.ft. house 4 degrees in two hours on an unbearably hot day in August. Not recommended for that large a space except in an emergency.</p> <p>This unit is quiet. With the fan on high, it sounded like low on previous units I've owned. But it puts out a lot of air.</p>... I was concerned with energy efficiency and quietness besides the obvious cooling of the room.  My master bedroom is 90 sq feet and this thing does the everything I wanted it to do and more.  In fact, it cools the room down within minutes of my arriving home from work.  I sleep uninterrupted by the machine.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for such an item up to 150 sq. ft. as the package suggests.  Next year I plan on buying the same unit for my family room in the basement which is about 100 sq. ft.</p>...
