This is a large freezer & the perfect size for our family of four. We freeze seasonal fruits & vegetables, meals that we make ahead of time, breads, desserts, meats, etc... We are bargain grocery shoppers & freeze everything that we can for future use. The heavy duty plastic dividers & baskets are a huge help in keeping everything organized! It is very energy efficient, runs quietly and has a very stream line appearance. We are able to plan ahead & save money by freezing many of our purchases and homemade foods. I don't know why we didn't buy this freezer sooner. It is a fabulous appliance at a very good price and saves us money in the long run!...

Bought both refrig & freezer to build into my kitchen remodel. Had issues with freezer right away, temp gauge, computer board, defrost, you name it. The ref freezes produce in drawers. if you turn temp up to place this doesnt happen it is not cold enough to prevent spoilage. After 7 repairs to freexer and (7 freezer's full of food) Sears replaced the freezer. That one lasted 2 months. Now after 3 more repairs (same exact issues) the tech says these units have MAJOR DESIGN FLAWS and he cannot repair or guarentee if fixed will stay fixed.

Could never get these to work long enough to be confident that building kitchen around them was a good idea. If you want frozen food put it in the refrig drawer, if you want spoiled food put it in the freezer!

Terrible.
...

I bought the fridge/freezer combo which was designed for my brand new kitchen. I bought both in May 07and had brand new replacements in January 08. Allready both have had to have repairs, and now the freezer is completly out. It is only a month old. I had a freezer full of food and it is ruined because the service people can not come out but on certain days. I am very unhappy with the products....

We purchased both the refrigerator and freezer prior to moving into a new home and had our cabinetry built around these two appliances. They are both very large, look great, and looked like a great alternative to the more expensive options out there. We were told when we bought these that Sears had a separate team of Kenmore Pro people to support the product with a high level of service for this new product line.
From the start, the delivery and service people demonstrated that there indeed is no special set of people to service these products. The initial installers had no idea how to hook up the appliances. They had difficulty leveling both (and they are still not quite right). The temperature guage stopped working after about 6 months, they came 2 or 3 times to replace it (and the controller). Ultimately they could not get the guage to work, saying, "That's the way it works!"
Then one service person realized that there was a leak in the compressor! This was after the freezer defrosted......

We bought the side by side fridge and freezer to accomodate our large family. Both were delivered damaged. Requested a new freezer. Within 30 days both had circulation isues and thr fridge froze ovber on bottom, freeze just stopped freezing. Got the new freezer from the dalage- it has now worked fine. The fridge is still not working, have gone through tons of damaged food and three repairs. Have now tried to return and because we are 2 days over the 90 days (as we waited for repairs) they are not sure they will return... Bad service from sears- too many places to call for help. Not happy with product at all...

The name of this line says it all. Ignore the previous posts, this set is as close to professional as possible without spending seven grand or more. Have you ever been in a "professional" kitchen? There are no ice makers on doors, separate units make ice. And the compressors on commercial units sound like a plane taking off, sorry! These units are huge spots to cool or freeze your comestibles, just like the pros, nothing more. If you need all sorts of doo-dads and possibly clever but space wasting "features," these are not for you....

I have had my new freezer/refrigid combo from Kenmore Pro and am very pleased with the ease to access items. The look is stunning and at the price was an easy decision based on comparable products. The only drawback that has me concerned is the noise level from the freezer. We have an open kitchen design. When the freezer kicks on, it sometimes rattles very hard. We have to turn the TV up. We have had repair out but of course it never made the noise. It is getting worse and have them coming out again. I have checked to make sure the units are level so hopefully it is something they can fix. Otherwise a nice choice....

A freezer in this price range and designed to go in your kitchen should have ice in the door. Also I thank a bigger ice container would be a nice touch....
