I have had an old Kenmore in my home thats just as old as my home(1969) and I cried when the warming drawer went out, then the oven started cooking uneven,I just knew I would never find another one that would compare,but...here it is !!!

A Kenmore Double Wall Oven,that not only has two oven(one doubles as a warming drawer) but it is SELF CLEANING !!!!!!

Its even better than my old Kenmore and thats hard to do!

After I used the Kenmore 790 electric range for a while, I realized that it didn't have enough room for medium pots in the back (they or their covers touched the dials, and steam hit the dials). I would rather have had a stove that perhaps extends out more, and/or on which the controls are in the front, providing more room on the top. I also would prefer a stove (if one exists) on which there are four ranges each containing 3 size options, allowing maximum flexibility for cooking. The other great problem is that spills can enter openings in the stainless shell, causing the inside of the oven glass to become unacceptably dirty. I persuaded a technician to take apart the shell and clean the mess, but only in the context of a routine service call, and only unoficially. Apparently, Sears won't take responsibility for a design that allows the appearance of the over door to become unacceptable....

I have been using my Kenmore Pro double wall oven for 6 months and it has already stopped working properly. It gave me a F-10 error code followed by a beeping alarm. Now the oven will come on, but after a few minutes it gives me the same error and cuts off. I paid too much for this appliance to get such poor quality service out of it especially after just 6 whole months! Good luck getting someone out to fix it in a timely manner too!

Six months ago, we had remodeled our kitchen. The contractors ran new wire for all the appliances we purchased from Sears. When our double wall oven was installed and turned on for first use, we got every F error code imaginable. I was waiting for the Big FU code, but that didn't happen. I called Sears and they said they would send out a service technician to fix it and I told them no, I wanted a new one delivered. Sears arrived win a brand new one and it worked great. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we cooked an 18 pound turkey in less than two hours with the convection using the probe. I will have to be honest, that was the juiciest turkey I have ever had. Here are my only complaints about the unit. With the money you spend out on this, you would think it would have the probe in both the top and the bottom ovens in case you need to cook more than one item using the probe. In addition, there is no battery backup for the clock for when you use power. C'mon, that much money for......

We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen so we upgraded from an old range to the Kenmore Pro 36" gas cook top and double wall ovens. So far using the double wall ovens has been great! I have been able to bake my holiday pies to perfection and can bake more than one batch at a time, which has been some much more efficent. I have had a learning curve on using the convection oven and did burn a pizza on my first use, but that was user error (I didn't use directions). So my husband pulled out the user manual read it and told me what I did wrong.

This oven looks so good in my kitchen! It is a pain keeping the stainless clean, but I think that as an issue with all stainless appliances. My only complainty is the timer is a little odd to use, and does not do seconds, only minutes. Have not used the temperature probe yet, but it looks like a handy feature to have.

Bought a kenmore 790 3 years ago. Wanted to bake, and when I went to press the control, the clock panel sunk into control panel. So, we opened the back and found that the clock panel had broken off the brackets. Cheap plastic housing around control board! i hope I don't have to buy a new board every three years. Crappy construction. Never buying this brand again.

We purchased the Kenmore Pro double ovens and warming drawer. They look wonderful!!! However, we installed them on Friday - used them for the first time on Saturday........had the repair man here on Wednesday! He tells me the motor needs replaced. When the oven is turned on to bake - the fan makes a terrible noise. I am just now reading all of the bad reviews on the ovens - I hope we didn't make a huge mistake. They only come to our area once per week so it will be two weeks before he is back to fix it.

I haven't tried the self clean feature - they haven't been used so are not dirty, but after reading the reviews, I think I will try it out in case there is a problem I want it fixed under warranty. I did not buy the extended warranty. Maybe I should have?

Bought the complete Proline series - The first time I used cleaning feature after 2 months and the top oven broke - Not covered under warranty because they we installed one year after my house was completed. 2nd Oven needs to be repaired now because it is always 25 degees off. So instead of have 2 ovens - I have one and I have to used the old model that was my mother's - Buy a better oven elsewhere - Sears doesn't care that they have issues with these ovens.

We've owned ours for 18 months and purchased them as part of a package for our new home. We paired the Pro cooktop, dishwasher, and wall ovens with a Samsung French Door/bottom freezer refrigerator and it all coordinates well. Sears was great to work with and we are very pleased with this product and our two other Kenmore Pro appliances.

**************** recommended the Pro wall oven and the brand repair history was the at the top of the list (few repairs) so I felt confident about this purchase.

We haven't had one problem with either oven; convection works well when I want it and the ovens bake evenly even when I'm not using it. The interior space is very good for the wall oven genre. Knobs for setting the ovens are easy to use - a little retro! One small complaint: the digital timer annoys me, it goes too fast when I hold it down and it's cumbersome to keep pushing it one minute at a time.

After much research, we purchased (2) of these units, 1 1/2 years ago. A few months later, we had problems with the broilers (in both), Sears repaired them. We haven't used the broiling much since then. Last week, we ran the self-clean on both ovens at the same time. The 1st oven stopped after 30 min. of the 2 1/2 hr. cycle with error codes and non-stop bepping. Sears tech service was of little help to troubleshoot & was able to schedule service one week later (thanks a lot for the time sensitive help). The only remedy for the beeping was to shut the circuit breaker down for that oven. Later the same day, the 2nd oven crashed. It completed the self-clean normally, but the heating element won't turn on now. Again, the best Sears could do was schedule us for service on the second unit a week later, but not the same day as the first unit that broke. Our ovens are 1 inch apart and Sears is coming on Tuesday and Wednesday to fix them. Lastly, as an intermediate cook, I find that the...

Wejust remodeled our kitchen and bought all Kenore appliances We are very pleased. THis oven was my splurge and I could not be happier! The racks slide in nicely. The probe is amazing! Made a roast chicken last night done to perfection! Love this appliance!

We purchased this unit and after reading reviews (at that time most were strong) ran the clean cycle immediately because that was the one problem that seemed to be come up. The unit flashed an error message and would not function. Waited a week or so for service; unit was reset.

A few months later we ran the clean cycle again. Same problem. This time it was a 3 week wait for parts/service. They replaced the main panel and the computer system.

One month later we ran the clean cycle again. SAME PROBLEM! Now we are waiting again for service and have been told that they will not replace a unit unless 1) you purchased the master protection plan or 2) a technician says it is irreparable.

It doesn't matter to Sears if you have the same problem 3 times in 5 months and that there are MULTIPLE people on this review site with the same complaint. This unit is basically junk if you want to use the self clean function.

Had this unit for 2 years, Did the self cleaning 1st time and now it will not heat. I see other have had this problem, Sears need to recall this OVEN to fix this problem not tell people to pay for a service call on this problem. All I wanted was to talk with a service tech to see if they have a service note on this problem, but you can't even do that. Sears servive is the worse. Very Disappointed. I will tear this unit out of my house before I pay Sears to come out and look that this in Wall Oven

We wanted to upgrade our kitchen and went from a single wall oven & microwave to these double, convection, self-cleaning ovens in stainless steel. It was an excellent choice. The man that installed the ovens fitted them perfectly to our cabinet, did the electrical work that was required and tested the ovens. It was all completed in under an hour. The whole process was totally efficient, and he cleaned up after himself as much as he could.

As for the ovens themselves, when you first turn one on you hear the fan start up and after about 20 seconds, you don't hear it anymore; there is total silence even though the oven is on. I have to keep checking to make sure it is working because the old oven I had made noise all the time. When I used the convection setting, I heard the fan at first, but then it got quiet and it only went on again when the heat built up, and then it would quiet down. So far I've baked cookies on the regular bake cycle, and made turkey breast on the convection-roast cycle....
