We looked for a while for the right refrigerator for our family. I rated it "outstanding" because we are very pleased with it so far. Also, our electric bill went down as a result of this new unit. Our old one was a Kenmore and it was 20+ yrs old. This was a really good deal, so we went for it. (Got it for around $800!) We've had it for about 2 months now. We did not have an issue with the ice/water, like other reviews...thought we would, but read the instructions and worked everything out. I couldn't be happier with this unit! It's big, cost efficient, and we have ice/water right at our finger tips, which my kids LOVE!

This works well and is quiet. The problem lies in the design. When you open the door to the refrigerator, you cannot see what is inside - you literally have to bend over or scrouch down to see. Two more big cons are: the top area of the inside has a water dispenser across the front which greatly reduces your vision of the top shelf items and there is a huge panel for the temperature controls and the light that take up so much space you can't even fit a milk carton in without bringing the top shelf way, way down. So even though it is 19 cu. ft., it's actually more like 15 cu.ft of space. When you see this item in the store, we suggest you stand right in front of it as you would at home and open the door - you will find you are looking straight at the freezer door. This is absolutely the worst designed refrigerator we have ever had and we had to return it because of this.

We highly recommend not buying this item. We understand that this particular Kenmore was built...

The Kenmore Elite with the bottom freezer drawer is a great refrigerator, sleek in design, clean lines, stands out in the Kitchen as a workhorse of a frig, yet it is so very loud due to the ICE MAKER. The ice maker is the worst I have ever heard. My kitchen is on the first level and I hear the thing on the 2nd floor bedroom. The ice gets stuck daily and needs removed from the machine to clean out the bin before it fills.

The cheap refrigerator at work doesn't make this much noise when making ice and doesn't get hung up on the ice making process either.

Otherwise I love the look, the room, the clean stainless steel finish.

Previous refrig went out and we rushed to Sears first, looked and locked into the Knmore Elite for price, looks and features. Unit was installed quickly and we have not been sorry yet. The ice maker on the door will sometimes cause slight spillage on the floor, but in watch use of the thing - the majority of the problem is the user pulling away to quickly. Did have a problem with the ice maker at first with not making ice, but it ended up being a clogged up turnoff valve that I should have changed out. Suggest with new hookup you do this.

We bought this fridge a couple of years ago and are happy with it. The fridge does not have lot of space but it's fine for our small family. It also doesn't have ice maker but for us, that wasn't a big deal; the ice trays that come with the fridge meet our needs. The fridge was more competitively priced compared to other similar ones we saw. The only thing about the fridge we don't like is that b/c of its steel color, it can easily show finger prints, so you need to clean the door of the fridge at least once a week to wipe off the prints.

I've owned two side-by-sides and have found both to be awful. If you like to cook or bake don't get any of these. Go for a fridge on top and freezer on the bottom. Side-by-sides are deceptive. It looks so great on the selling floor and you think you're getting a ton of space. Instead what you'll be getting is headaches. The shelves and space provided are too narrow and food ends up lost, crammed and wasted. Don't be fooled--it's too much money for too little space and completely impractible.

We bought this fridge about 2 years ago, and haven't been all that happy with it. The ice maker gets jammed occasionally, and is very loud. The pull out shelves are feeble, wobbly and shaky. Every drawer has taken turns coming off the little track and each of them seem to get stuck constantly and doesn't slide smoothly. My 2 year old shut the door on an open drawer and it instantly cracked and broke. Fortunately it was still under warranty and they replaced it for free, but after warranty runs out, new drawers are $90! I do really like the shelves in the door as they are adjustable and hold alot of items and one has a neat tilt out feature. It does keep things cold though and so far has been reliable. Overall, this refrigerator looks great, but the parts are to cheap for the amount of money paid for it.

I bought a GE because I had owned one before and was very pleased with it. I'm sorry to say that this one is awful. This fridge is supposed to be frost free. Well, my ice pops, bagels and breads have little crystals of ice on them. I got a replacement and have the same problem. My kitchen is narrow and I need a fridge with a width of 28". GE seems to be the only company that makes this width. Another reviewer mentioned that the motor is noisy. Not only is it noisy but it makes a lot of different noises. Much to my dismay, I will have to pick out another GE because of my kitchen space problem. I hope that problem is soon solved....

This refrigerator replaced my old one from he 70's decade and believe me it's great! A lot less noise, my old unit had a loud 60 cycle hum where's this unit just makes a hissing sound and my old one when reading the freezer compartment area reads about 20 degrees F with an Inferred thermometer where my Kenmore unit reads -6 degrees F and below my thermometer's range.

The door to the freezer came off when the Ice formed and I would get a loud popping sound just after the unit turned off and also had to run the thermostat up higher. The Ice build up also reduced the efficiency of the refrigerator. But just after removing all of the Ice the unit would get cold quickly with the -4 degree temp and as far as replacing the door I left It off with no problem at all for frozen items.

One other note to mention was that the mounting of the thermal couple is mounted with a small plastic piece which snaps onto the freezer plate and came loose, so as to be very careful when allot of Ice forms...

Upon first delivery of our refrigerator it had the plastic moldings (permanent) broken to which they did not review before delivering off the truck. Our second fridge which was delayed by several days has a bin that does not function well. Does not open nor close well and is just wanting to break. It always gets bound up opening or closing.

The Freezer door handle keeps loosening up. On search for the allen wrench to tighten...was not left with the instructions kit. Also to find that the handle was drilled wrong so there are two holes and only one screw on that side. Bottom shelf difficult to see how we are going to clean as the leakage of something got underneath.

Overall okay. Not a big fan of the water dispenser as when your bottle is full you try to pull away and the spout sticks inside and the dispenser stays on leaking all over the floor. Poor design.

The primary reason for selecting this unit was its low energy consumption, and its ability to fit in an existing space. It meets both those criteria.

The unit is disappointingly noisy. I suspect the noise is due to the design of the flow or air from the refrigerator to the freezer: the air moves through a channel in the front door, and when the door is opened, the noise subsides slightly. A service rep came out after we bought it and said that's just how the refrigerator runs. I regret having purchased this applicance.

The refrigerator also lacks sufficient space to store a 1-dozen box of eggs in the egg compartment. This is an very odd design flaw.

This product is easy on the eyes, has great features, is roomy and I just had to get the matching gas stove. However, it can be noisy and emit sounds that may take some getting used to especially when guests are over and comment on the wildlife sounds being heard in the next room. Also be cautious when using the water dispenser it shoots out water rather forcefully, but overall, I would recommend this appliance to anyone looking for style and function.

I am reviewing the Kenmore Elite Trio, model number 795.79783.900. I must say, I read a lot of bad reviews in reference to this product before purchasing it. I did believe the reviews were a bit exaggerated. In my opinion my Kenmore Elite Trio is one of the best refrigerators that I have ever purchased. The refrigerator is energy efficient, and has a great design. I have not had one single person visit my residence that has not had a good comment to say about the refrigerator. The refrigerator has great space, both on the refrigerator and freezer side. I can only add, that the refrigerator is quiet, efficient, and has a lot of room for all of our family needs. I have not had any problems with my children leaving their fingerprints on the refrigerator. I love the fact that the refrigerator has an alarm to notify me that the doors were not secured properly. My new Kenmore Elite French Door refrigerator is beautiful and very roomy with easy access to all shelves. I love the deep side bins and ease of adjusting shelves to suit my needs. It is well lit inside and I can always find what i am looking for. The pull out drawer freezer is also very user-friendly. It is easy to roll out and you can see everything clearly. No more "forgotten" items lurking in the back of the compartment - it is all right there in front of you. The extra pull out shallow shelf is great for things you use often. Most important - no freezer burn! The "oops I left the door ajar" Alarm is a brilliant idea. I also know when one of the kids is standing in front of the fridge and can't make up their mind!

I love this refrigerator so much it is going with me when I move!

I bought this kenmore model (253.6818280) because it was supposed to have a low noise compressor. I had 3 different units put in my house, each one noisier than the one before. The second one was not even new... Finally I had to stop taking off from work to recieve them, so I settled and accepted it. It makes a loud noise like marbles dropping on a tile floor most every time it starts up. I can easily hear it from my bedroom 30'+ away. The fan makes a whirrring sound and sometimes a buzzing sound.

The cooling works good, but the noise is not worth it.

We got this because it had the biggest freezer of the fridges in the store that would fit the space available in our kitchen.

First, if you need to reverse the door, you might want to have the pros do it. I dented mine trying to remove the plastic plugs to put the handle on the right. The manual says to pry them out, which is nearly impossible. Poke a knife blade into the plug, and unscrew it. LG would not take responsibility for this.

The biggest problem is the loud, high-pitched sound that the compressor makes. LG says it's normal, and so did the repairman (I'm not sure he could hear it -- many men have hearing loss at that range, but I hear it too well).

I plan to put sound deadening material on the wall behind it. A riskier solution would be to wrap the compressor.

Other than that, we like it.

I purchased this product - Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator #57024 about one year ago. My last kenmore refrigerator was 20 years old and still going strong but was not energy star, so we went to Sears for a new one. We got a 25.4 cuft. about the same size as our old one but it is really MUCH SMALLER inside. Hard to tell when you are looking at an empty fridge in the store - WHY didn't the salesperson tell us then about how energy star compliance affects the interior. Our ice maker started jamming within 2 months and broke in 8. It is difficult to keep clean. We hate this refrigerator and it cost us almost 1400 bucks. Buyer Beware! P.S. we always maintained a service contract but sears raised the cost to ridiculous prices. Forget it!!

its a white kenmore bottom freezer and if ya open it normally it gets crystals freezes they say thats way it is when wife called, if i would know would have never bought this model-795-77302601,ive been with sears since 1969 when got out army, dad said son great products and great sevice,ive found out that over yrs, between kids and me , weve bought between 6-7 kenmore washers dryers last 25 yrs probably, but this frig is a disapoinment but guess have live with it, because having ice crystals that seem be there always, wife is not happy at all, next time ill see if theres a review of a new product, ive bought 2 new frezers within last couple months, one for me second one for daughter who just got amrried a couple months ago, there great, but a satisfied customer still.

French Door Samsung Refriderator - LOVE IT!!! 29 in. huge inside, stainless steel. Love the LED inside along with the crisper drawers and the drawer that can either be for deli type stuff or fruits and vegetables is also big enough to hold a ****** pizza box. The freezer is huge! Handle opens the fredge with ease. Auto top drawer slides out. A place to put a pizza box in the freezer also. Nothing really bad to say about this product. The price was great and the production is great.

I purchased the Frigadaire Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator as a replacement refrigerator for the garage. I had a older refirgerator with the top freezer which we use for holiday overflow, extra vegetables in the summer, and sodas/beverages. My electric bill was rising and found the older refrigerator was drawing much electriity so I started researching refrigerators. I found this one on line at Sears with the capability of having all refrigerator or all freezer, which would have been nice when my chest freezer went out. After continuing to research this was my best value staying with energy star. The two men who delivered were very friendly and efficient, took the time to make sure I was happy-I was impressed with them and their service. The refrigerator has lots of room, great shelves and door space, and my electric bill has improved. I am very happy from the saleswoman that finalized the sale to the delivery men who set it up.
