The Kenmore Elite with the bottom freezer drawer is a great refrigerator, sleek in design, clean lines, stands out in the Kitchen as a workhorse of a frig, yet it is so very loud due to the ICE MAKER. The ice maker is the worst I have ever heard. My kitchen is on the first level and I hear the thing on the 2nd floor bedroom. The ice gets stuck daily and needs removed from the machine to clean out the bin before it fills.

The cheap refrigerator at work doesn't make this much noise when making ice and doesn't get hung up on the ice making process either.

Otherwise I love the look, the room, the clean stainless steel finish.

Upon first delivery of our refrigerator it had the plastic moldings (permanent) broken to which they did not review before delivering off the truck. Our second fridge which was delayed by several days has a bin that does not function well. Does not open nor close well and is just wanting to break. It always gets bound up opening or closing.

The Freezer door handle keeps loosening up. On search for the allen wrench to tighten...was not left with the instructions kit. Also to find that the handle was drilled wrong so there are two holes and only one screw on that side. Bottom shelf difficult to see how we are going to clean as the leakage of something got underneath.

Overall okay. Not a big fan of the water dispenser as when your bottle is full you try to pull away and the spout sticks inside and the dispenser stays on leaking all over the floor. Poor design.

I am reviewing the Kenmore Elite Trio, model number 795.79783.900. I must say, I read a lot of bad reviews in reference to this product before purchasing it. I did believe the reviews were a bit exaggerated. In my opinion my Kenmore Elite Trio is one of the best refrigerators that I have ever purchased. The refrigerator is energy efficient, and has a great design. I have not had one single person visit my residence that has not had a good comment to say about the refrigerator. The refrigerator has great space, both on the refrigerator and freezer side. I can only add, that the refrigerator is quiet, efficient, and has a lot of room for all of our family needs. I have not had any problems with my children leaving their fingerprints on the refrigerator. I love the fact that the refrigerator has an alarm to notify me that the doors were not secured properly. My new Kenmore Elite French Door refrigerator is beautiful and very roomy with easy access to all shelves. I love the deep side bins and ease of adjusting shelves to suit my needs. It is well lit inside and I can always find what i am looking for. The pull out drawer freezer is also very user-friendly. It is easy to roll out and you can see everything clearly. No more "forgotten" items lurking in the back of the compartment - it is all right there in front of you. The extra pull out shallow shelf is great for things you use often. Most important - no freezer burn! The "oops I left the door ajar" Alarm is a brilliant idea. I also know when one of the kids is standing in front of the fridge and can't make up their mind!

I love this refrigerator so much it is going with me when I move!

We got this because it had the biggest freezer of the fridges in the store that would fit the space available in our kitchen.

First, if you need to reverse the door, you might want to have the pros do it. I dented mine trying to remove the plastic plugs to put the handle on the right. The manual says to pry them out, which is nearly impossible. Poke a knife blade into the plug, and unscrew it. LG would not take responsibility for this.

The biggest problem is the loud, high-pitched sound that the compressor makes. LG says it's normal, and so did the repairman (I'm not sure he could hear it -- many men have hearing loss at that range, but I hear it too well).

I plan to put sound deadening material on the wall behind it. A riskier solution would be to wrap the compressor.

Other than that, we like it.

its a white kenmore bottom freezer and if ya open it normally it gets crystals freezes they say thats way it is when wife called, if i would know would have never bought this model-795-77302601,ive been with sears since 1969 when got out army, dad said son great products and great sevice,ive found out that over yrs, between kids and me , weve bought between 6-7 kenmore washers dryers last 25 yrs probably, but this frig is a disapoinment but guess have live with it, because having ice crystals that seem be there always, wife is not happy at all, next time ill see if theres a review of a new product, ive bought 2 new frezers within last couple months, one for me second one for daughter who just got amrried a couple months ago, there great, but a satisfied customer still.

French Door Samsung Refriderator - LOVE IT!!! 29 in. huge inside, stainless steel. Love the LED inside along with the crisper drawers and the drawer that can either be for deli type stuff or fruits and vegetables is also big enough to hold a ****** pizza box. The freezer is huge! Handle opens the fredge with ease. Auto top drawer slides out. A place to put a pizza box in the freezer also. Nothing really bad to say about this product. The price was great and the production is great.

Our Kenmore trio refrigerator isn't even 3 years old and I'm ready to replace it. The temperature control unit fell down--and I discovered that the attachment had melted. Why? I figured this out one night when I turned the kitchen light off to see a light coming from the fridge. The door does not close properly--and this could be adjusted...BUT..when I tested the buttons that control the light, I found out that they don't work! Hence this refrigerator has had the lights on 24/7!

My warranty has run out. When I researched repairs for this thing, I begin with a $69 service call. The temp. control panel is upwards of $200. Who knows what fixing the electrical will cost---or labor? Clearly, I'm not about to spend $500 to repair a piece of junk that couldn't even hold up for 3 years.

I will never buy Kenmore again. My advice, stay away unless you're an appliance repair person!

I've had this refrigerator for about 1 month now. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this model. The design/appearance of this fridge is pretty nice. On the exterior, the curved handles have a nice look and feel. My only complaint are the two plastic screws on the fridge door. This model has the ability to reverse the door swing, which is nice, but having these plastic screws visible is bad design. However, overall it's very minor.

Interior space is plentiful. I can fit a lot more in this unit as compared to my old fridge of similar size. Separate drawers w/ humidity control is nice. Temperature is consistent as well. I've noticed my food is staying fresher longer. This is my first fridge with a bottom freezer. While a bit smaller, I have become used to it with no issues. Bought the bottom freeze model b/c I like having the fridge at my standing level so I don't have to bend over to get things.

One minor issue I'm having is the fridge door is a little sticky,...

We bought this Kenmore french door frig this year & it's fabulous. Roomy enough for us, fridge shelves at eye level, great deli drawer...big! Fridg shows cold temp as well a freezer temp in a digital display. has door ajar alert. Since we had a 25 cu ft Kenmore freezer already, the bottom freezer is just great...plenty big enough for daily items, as well as tons of frozen leftovers, breakfast foods, juice, et. One of the best we've owned!

Been a loyal sears customer for more than 40 years...

I shopped a long time for this type of refer. When I found the Elite, I knew immediately it was what I was looking for, and the price was right. Now It's freezing in the refer. at 39º... not just in the drawers. The irritating part is that I can't find any information about this in the manual. I cooked frozen carrots for dinner, and they weren't in the freezer. Also, the big drawer has had a crack in the clear plastic for three months. We have no children, and we are careful. This refer is 13 mo. old, and as a matter of fact, this freezing thing has been going on for some time now, and I am very disappointed.

If the freezer had not stopped working about 70 days into ownership or even if Sears could fix it, I would not be writing this. Service techs -- particularly the last one, who seems to have diagnosed the problem correctly -- have been helpful; even the salesman thinks we should get a new machine. Sear's One Source is the big brother, however, and since we did not ask for a new machine until 93 days after purchase and since our four service visits thus far count as only one service order, we do not qualify. (Also, I initially e-mailed LG for advice; it took them eight days to reply to an e-mail with the helpful advice to call for service.) So I can only advise shoppers to beware LG and beware Sear's One Source, where the rules come before common sense customer service.

This refrigerator is very unique. The hidden dispenser allows for easy filling of large pitchers of various other containers that normally do not fit into recessed dispensers. Interior wise this refrigerator has great features, including the breakaway shelving and the full width pantry drawer. The actual flip out dispenser is of pretty solid construction which really surprises me as one would think that type of gadget would be pretty flimsy. This refrigerator also gives you the seamless look of a refrigerator without a dispenser but the convenience of one with a dispenser. Only downsides of this refrigerator is that it does not do crushed ice and is not energy star.

Having a 1950's era house I had limited options in replacing the refrigerator due to the space in the cabinets. I definitely wanted a bottom freezer because being 6'4" I was tired of bending over to get things out of the fridge. As much as I am a Kenmore loyalist, the Sears Appliance salesman said this LG 22.4 cu.ft. will be the best choice.

He was right. It surprisingly has amazing capacity in the refrigerator. The adjustable shelving as well as the large baskets on the door give you plenty of options to arrange your fridge for your families individual needs. The freezer's large bottom pull out basket allows us to keep things handy upstairs instead of constantly running to the chest freezer downstairs. Best of all I don't have the problem with items getting freezer burn as fast as I did with the GE refrigerator it replaced.

The one minor issue I have is that if you load too many heavy milk, wine or soda bottles in the door baskets it has a tendency not to shut on its own if you don't...

Probably not good for those with kids cause the door could break if not carefully shut etc. I love the alarm that lets you know if you left the doors open.

Doesn't have the most space but plenty for small families and has cool features like being able to adjust the moisture/humidity in the vegetable drawers. Lots of shelves on the doors.

Freezer is nice two shelved system which allows for food separation.

But the best thing is that it fits well in between cabinets which is getting harder to find these days.

It also has digital readouts for temperature and it does get really cold even in the fridge.

1 week after 1 year warranty ran out, called for service on refrigerator (2nd time) and was told repair would be $185.00. I had not yet authorized...went to phone friend for advice, returned to kitchen and repair was done! Less than 5 minutes...$185.00 - I refused to pay as I hadn't authorized. I once purchased only Kenmore products because quality was excellent, they seemed to last forever and when the time to replace came, it was a joy to do business once again.

New home built in 2008...my "kenmore" purchases (fridge, washer/drier) are shot, I'm afraid to call for repairs, have considered replacing with Kenmore but getting service contract...and nixed that idea because I don't want a poorly made product...period. I'm done with Kenmore.

I bought this in January and on the last day of my 90 day return for cash limitation I had a Sears repairperson visit. The refrig had started knocking (like someone knocking on the door). He was brusque and told us that it was not the refrig mechanics but because the floor wasn't level. he fixed the leveling, waiting 15 minutes, didn't hear the sound and left. After he left it started again, even longer and more frequently. It was a nightmare trying to deal with Sears customer service. they have a "One Source" department that it took 8 phone calls and four hours to find. The number is 1-800-479-6351. There were two nice people I spoke to there who allieved my fears that I couldn't return it for a cash refund after that day; opening up a "case" would extend that period for 30 days. They suggested I check out another one I might want and call them back and they would replace it. Okay. I researched it and saw that I could fit the LG into the space I have. I called back...

This is a beautiful refrigerator. It really looks nice in my kitchen. Too bad it doesn't work as well as it looks. The ice dispenser works whenever it feels like it , which is not too often. The door squeaks. We keep lubricating it, but it still squeaks. The door handle keeps coming loose. Other than that, it works great. It is very deep inside, so there's a tendency to lose things in the back of the refrigerator. This is my first bottom freezer. I really like it. I can see everything at a glance. I like the sliding shelf in the freezer. I bought this refrigerator because it's energy star rated. I just found out that it's not as efficient as LG claims it is. Consumer Reports tested the energy star ratings of refrigerators and found LG to be lacking in its statistics. LG is supposed to be offering energy rebates to consumers. I applied for one right away,and still haven't heard from them. That was 4 months ago. Until LG can get their act together, I...

We got this refrigerator in August of 2005 on Family & Friends night. We previously had the fridge that came with the house, and that had been making a big mess all over the floor, so anything new would have been a big improvement.

This was our first bottom-mount refrigerator, and we discovered that storage is much easier in the freezer drawer than in a top-mount freezer, not to mention it's so spacious! We can put a turkey in there and still have room for lots of food. Try that with a top-mount freezer.

The refrigerator cabinet is also very spacious, and offers lots of flexibility for food storage. Everything inside can be easily taken out for cleaning, and the slide-out shelves make getting at the stuff in the back much easier.

The only complaint I have is that when the compressor runs there is a little bit of rattling noise. It's not typical for these or any refrigerators, but it's not affecting operation, either.

I can easily recommend this refrigerator.

We have had our Kenmore w/ French doors for about 3 years now. My only complaint was that we had it for like 2 months and started hearing something like the fan running real loud in the freezer. Then one day it was doing it real loud and stopped and i opened up the fridge and there was an error code. So I researched the code and it is an LG motor code that alot of people had problems with. So I called sears service and they couldnt come out for like 3 weeks so i would have had no fridge for 3 weeks. So i got someone else and they pulled a huge ice chunk out of it that the ice maker was shooting water into the motor and it froze the fan. So i just cant use the ice maker, which i wanted the one without ice and it was a house warming gift from my grandmother so she insisted, but other than that i am pretty pleased with it overall....
