We ordered this Beverage Frig because we were able to combine it with other items for a 25% discount. The first unit arrived with damage to the handle and would not cool below 55 deg. It ran constantly for days and never reached temperature. However, it was relativlely quiet while it was running. Sears would not refund our shipping, so we reluctantly returned the item and had another shipped to us. The second unit arrived with minor damage, but the quality/craftmanship is very poor comared with the first unit. The door rubbs against the bottom and does not close properly. Sears refuses to refund our shipping ($150!) because they did not ship the item. However, it is listed as being sold by Sears on their website. I have had positive experiences with Sears in the past, but after hours on the phone and being hung up on every time they tried to transfer me to another department. I would recommend saving yourself time and money and buying another product....

The cooling unit on mine has failed twice in three years. It is a very expensive repair. Shame on Sears for selling this piece of junk....

It's beautiful and never ceased to get attention, but after two years the cooling unit has failed. Because we had it built in,we'll now need to bust up the cabinetry to remove it.

I purchased this wine cooler in early 2009 based upon a good review in a consumer's rating magazine. On the basis of my experience with this cooler I would not recommend buying it for the following reasons: -Following power outages the temperature setting must be reset. -The unit was not quiet when running. -In late 2011 the cooler stopped working. The fan ran, but the unit did not cool the interior. Of course the unit is beyond the one year warranty. In looking at other buyer’s reviews, it is obvious this cooler suffers from serious quality issues!...

money well spent!! i love it and so do my friends! I am very earth consciencous and i dont approve of using coolants and refrigerants which is why i love the thermoelectric based cooling system that this unit uses! Quiet and Earth Friendly!

Being that this unit is compressor based, i was able to mount it under my cabinets with no fear of blocked ventilation and now my bachelor pad is complete!!

We own three of these wine fridges. Two are used at home, one for reds and one for whites. The third unit we brought to our summer home. They keep the wines at a good temp. and the units are quiet. Footnote: the third one I bought failed the first week, but Sears replaced it without a problem....

i am absolutely enamored with this product! The people at Koolatron really know wine and how to maintain perfect temperature. Temp is critical when talking wine so it is imperative that a large wine cellar be as accurate as possible with temperature in different zones. this unit does that and more! I love it!

This is the first wine cooler I have purchased to ensure some of my prized wines were kept at the proper temperature. The cooler looks good and was easy to install. It runs quiet without any vibration. I have checked the interior temperature with another accurate thermometer and found the actual temperatures inside both the upper zone and lower zone to be six to eight degrees higher than where I set the temperature guage on the cooler. Once I adjusted the set temperatures lower I can maintain the interior at the proper temperatures for white and red wines. Don't assume the upper and lower temperatures that you set are being maintained on the interior without verifying with another thermometer.

I saw this wine cellar and decided to stop into a local Sears and check it out as a possible kegerator kit fridge. I measured and decided it would fit a 1/6 keg and a 5 pound CO2 tank perfectly with all the shelves removed. I brought it home and grabbed my jigsaw and cut a hole into the top and was pleasantly surprised to not find any electrical or freon tubing inside the casing, only insulation (Good insulation at that). Please note that I installed my kegerator tap into a bar, not the top of the wince cellar. There is a wire that runs from the inside LED light to the back of the cabinet that would simply not make that type of installation possible. I turned the cool setting to its highest setting and tossed an outdoor thermometer in and waited a few hours. Wow was I surprised to see it get down to 31 degrees! I know as a wine cellar this is way too cold, but I have discovered that the temperature control does allow you to get the temp up to around 50 which is far better for wine. ......
