I purchased this tool box as it appeared to be an ideal storage place to put my wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. I was looking for a secure place to put them and at the same time wanted it pretty convenient to get to. I have to admit that this design does allow for these two requirements very well.

However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the drawers, drawer guides, and frame itself. All the toolbox components are made of very thin sheet metal that can bend quite easily. The drawer guides are also very poorly designed. There are no drawer releases to allow the user to remove the drawers if something gets stuck behind them. It also can cause the drawers to be stuck closed if a tool shifts while the drawer was closed. In a moving vehicle, bouncing around, this is entirely possible.

Right now, I have a toolbox that is under 5 months old with two drawers already no longer working. I wouldn't order another tool box like this one unless I found one that...

Bought 3 boxes for christmas (dad, brother & myself) about 12 years ago and they have all been used in multiple trucks with no problems. I put a fiberglass cover on my truck and had to chop the box to make it shorter but still works great. The emblems came off of all of them after about 5 years of use. You won't be able to put large tools in them but for everyday sockets wrenches hammers pliers and screwdriver they do an excellent job at organizing without taking up valuable space....

It was just delivered today. I installed it with a little help from my wife. Who had to hold a wrench on the top bolt while I attached the lock nut on the bottom of the truck bed, and tightened it from the bottom. It looks and feels sturdy enough. It took me about 30-45 minutes to install. All my stuff that I used to put in a canvas bag fit into it. Straps, flares,rope, rubber gloves, towing hitch & ball with a few bolts. It will keep it nice and clean and easy to find the items I want. I have a shell, but wanted to keep it neater so things aren't sliding around back there....

My wife got this for me for Christmas. It rocks! I don't need the full size truck box, so this is perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this box....

We ordered two 8 ft white. We got two 6 ft black. We were refunded the shipping. My husband is an oil field worker, so they have to be tough. He is thrilled with the set, so far. I just wish we had gotten what we ordered....
