MissNae says "The manual Avent Breast Pump is not for the pumping mom." about Avent Breast Pump, Manual, On-the-Go Set, 1 set

The Avent Manual pump, on the go set, is not the best pump for a mother who is a pumper. I think it would be good for the first couple of times. The pump is gentle and does not hurt my nipple area, I just feel that the it wasn't creating the best suction to produce milk. When I first used it, I was over filled so I was able to pump a 2 ounces... it took almost 20 minutes. ( I normally can do 2 ounces in about 5 minutes with an electric) After that, I can barely get anything out when I use the manual pump.

Overall, it was gentle with my breast, but I know I need an electric to produce enough for my child.
...

beetlechic says "The Mi Pump Breast Pump is a great value " about The First Years miPump Breast Pump, Double Electric/Battery, 1 pump

The purchased this pump to replace the Medela pump i rented from the hospital. I had no problems with the medela, it was just too expensive to keep. I have had no issues with the Mipump and feel it has done the same job as its more expensive pump.

I called the First Years Customer Service line to order a larger breast shield, and other attachments. The service was fantastic!

The hand bar that is used to for " one hand pumping" is not so useful for large chested ladies. I ended up purchasing a nursing bra that made the task easier. This however, may work just fine for a smaller lady.

i also purchased the bottles that go to the pump. Overall I am satisfied.

These are by far the best nursing pads I have found. They are thick and condensed and made of cotton. When the pad gets full it still keeps its shape and doesn't spill, unlike other pads that are held together by plastic. They do have a nipple-shaped indent but it didnt bother me much. I would definately recommend these for the support they offer. Once they were in I didn't have to worry about my leaking
...

This is a must for breast-feeding moms. I only needed one or two tubes the entire time i breast fed. It helps relieves cracking and soothes the nipple. It stays on and it's safe for the baby. With that said it doesn't wipe off very easily so the baby's cheek may get a little greasy. Overall a great product and necessary for breast-feeding moms.
...

These are the nursing pads that I ended up using with all three of my children while breastfeeding. I tried several other brands, as well as reusable pads. I found that all others would eventually leak if over-full. These did not. The stay in place well, are smooth and discreet under a bra, and they absorb a great amount. They can become fully saturated and still not leak out the side.
...

I had received lansinoh for my baby shower when I was pregnant with my first kid 8 years ago. I never used it. I had no issues breast feeding and did not find it necessary.

When I had my second baby, I had no lansinoh and did not need to buy it. Again, no issues with the breast feeding. Thankfully.

Then with my 3rd baby I was so glad that I was given it by the hospital. And then when I left the hospital, I had my husband run to the pharmacy and get me some. It was really helpful. Not something I would think you would need throughout your baby's entire breast feeding career, but in those early weeks of nursing, it definitely can help see you through the tough times.

I did not anticipate having any trouble breast feeding my third baby, especially since the first two nursed so naturally and easily right away after being born. However, my third pregnancy was a little different.

My water broke and I was not going into labor. The midwife gave me a bunch of recommendations of things to try to...
...

It is so effective at relieving the pain, cracking, and peeling of skin when you are first trying to nurse. It is safe to apply even when they are going to nurse. It is totally Non-toxic. I also use it on dry areas on my baby's skin.
...
