I bought this Garmin last Christmas and I love it. I use it whenever I got into the city. I have no problem finding my destination, even if I make a wrong turn. The device screen is big enough so that I can see it without a problem. I bought the dash mount for it and love that too, it's easy to snap the unit into it and when I leave the car I put the dash mount under the seat, no tell tale suction marks on the window. I also bought the "glove" to store the Garmin in, which is handy and I just slip it into my purse and away I go....... If you are a not a gadget freak and perhaps a bit technically challenged this is the Garmin for you.........I love it.
...

henkebunch says "Inexpensive quality" about Sony Nav-U Portable GPS Navigation System w/ 3.5 in. Touch Screen Display

This Unit does a god job on the road, has saved my behind a couple of times. It does have the tendency to send you up the wrong way on a one way street, or send you the short route which winds up being grid locked traffic but, it does have the shortest and quickest route feature. It has plenty of maps pre loaded in it's memory.... enough so that when you are typing in an address it can auto complete it..... Not the best unit for off roading though. All in all We liked it so much and the price was right that we bought 2 of them for each car.
...

cynterslave says "Excellent buy" about Garmin NUVI 205

The Garmin Nuvi 205 has been great. Its quick to find a satelite and calculate your route. Once you program in your home address, you can always just touch the "Take Me Home" button for fast instructions. This GPS is very easy to use with all of the on screen prompts. It's small enough to be placed on the windsheild without really obstructing anything, yet large enough to see the screen. The voice commands are also nice. The battery life is awesome - several hours - if you dont want to use the accessory power. You can even customize the voice (American, British, etc) and change your vehicle on the display (car, monster truck, etc). If you have a usb cable (like for a Blackberry) you can plug this into your computer, register online, and download product and map updates.
...

I love the widescreen on this Garmin. The quality is #1. Accurate directions - millions of POI - easy to use menu and navigation. I purchased 2 of these units for Christmas presents and they love them. I feel better knowing the ones I love will get to their destination safely and won't worry when they travel to places they haven't been before - it's a must have if you aren't good with directions. You don't have to travel out of state to get the benefits from this Garmin - how many times are you looking for a store, restaurant, school for a game your son or daughter is playing at - the Garmin 255W with get you there - and get you back home again.
...

My Wife and I recently moved from Australia to America and, as you can imagine, adjusting to the opposite side of the road while driving was quite the formidable task... which, I'm happy to say we're overcoming... Needless to say we simply don't know our way around - anywhere here. The Magellan RoadMate 1412 GPS Navigation System has proven to be a God - send. I am a tech-head that enjoys technology to it's fullest, while - on the other hand, my Wife finds anything that requires instructions to be off-puting! This is where this particular GPS is great! The ease-of-use and simplicity of the user interface makes this contraption a pleasure to use and makes getting from A to B and even C very easy and straight forward. The spoken turns and directions are clear, heard easilly and understood every time. Unlike some GPS systems I have tried in the past, this model even works very well with heavy cloud cover.
The POI (Points of Interest) functioning on the GPS also is very intuitive and provides...
...
