i bought this for my daughters birthday, she was extatic to have her own little computer so when she tried to play on it she couldnt get to any page for anything with out it freezing and we even tried letting it sit for ove an hour to un-freeze... nothing! then when we tried to charge it the charger would only work if it was in a spacific position, very disappointed and now i have a broken hearted 8 year old!

This netbook is a winner. Compared to competitor's netbooks the Toshiba Mini Netbook has a better keyboard and longer battery life. The stylish design is also a step above competitors. It comes with 1GB Ram, but it is upgradable to 2GB. The performance is okay and I expect to have better results once I upgrade the memory. This netbook had all that I was looking for with webcam, card reader, and enough usb ports.

On the negative side, the speakers are not very good. If I want to listen to music or watch a movie, I plug in my earbuds. Also, I am not very happy with Windows 7 starter.

Overall, the Toshiba Mini Netbook is a great value. It is a step above the competition and I would definately recommend it.

This little netbook is faster than either my laptop or pc. It has a large hard drive so I can down load lots of stuff. The keys on the keyboard are large which makes it easy to type.It doesn't have the right hand numberboard, but I never used it anyway.. It has a slot to plug in SanDisks which I love. It does not have a DVD drive, but I got one on here for about $12 which works great. This is a very nice little netbook and I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my 10 year old son and my 14 year old daughter for just a basic little computer to do their homework assignments on. The computer is great since we don't really intend it for any online things. We just use this for homework papers and it is easily transportable.

The only thing I don't like about it is, the battery doesn't seem to hold a charge even if we charge ours all day. We have to plug it in to use it and the cord is so short you have to be careful not to yank it out of the wall when you are typing. I wouldn't recommend it for every day internet surfers.However it's a great first computer for little ones doing homework assignments.

If it wasn't for the battery, we'd love it. Do what I did and when you buy something you are unsure of, buy the extended warentee so that you can get a gift card for the price you bought it for so that if needed, you can get the same item if it's just a battery problem, or something completely different.

I bought this for my daughter for christmas 2011. She opened it and started it up. Within one minute the whole system freezes. There is no way to even connect to the internet if the mouse doesn't even move. I blame the company that produces these netbooks and Sears for carrying a product so well known to not work. I always thought in the past that sears was a higher end quality store but now I see why they have to close 100 stores for carrying products like these and not helping customers be able to return the equipment.

i just bought this sylvania 7" smartbook on 01/15/12. when i got it open. i ran into a couple of problems. the first one was that it would not stay powered up. i had to mess with the cord for it to stay on. then i found out that there was no 2gb sd card like it says on the package.thank god I already had a 4gb sd card to put in it.. I had a some problems with trying to get it connect to my router.the mouse is a little tricky. you might want to use an external mouse with it....

I can't say that I would want a small laptop, but it seems to do everything that my little one needs it to do. It's light weight and easy for her use.

The Sylvania Wireless Smartbook-SYNET7WIC will not stay online. Every time my grandkids use their smartbook they have to configure to wireless again. Each and every time they use it. It is driving me crazy because they spend more time complaining that surfing the web....

my fiance has never got on a computer other then doing a resume he needed help so to get him started i bought him a smartbook to look up things he needs to buy for his job and so far hes doing pretty good. i also bought myself one so if im on the go away from home i can have access to the net. The only thing im having a problem with is getting on to my facebook and yahoo,i will although call and see what i need to do other than that i love it.

I have a Acer Netbook and got The Sylvania Wireless Smartbook for my mother-in-law and she just loved it since it is so light weight. Everytime I pick up this Sylvania Smart book I say wow so light!!! Easy to use!

Absolutely USELESS!! These were given as gifts to my 9 and 10 year old children from their grandparents for Christmas sadly to say after trying to use them several times and both of them locking up and not functioning they now are packaged up to be returned! Save your money because these are soooo not worth even $119!
