mommy8991 says "the world wide web in one hand" about Acer Aspire One 10.1" Netbook - Black

I am on both sides of fence with this little computer.I am typing to you on this filling in this review.

This little computer is great I have everything I need in ONE hand.It is so light & easy to move, convenient to access what I need on-line,with out the big bulky desktop that takes up 1/2 your room just to fit it in.

I like that is is so portable n I can carry with one hand and not have the weight of a regular laptop. I have the little hook up for the CD/DVD player that is set up with a USB cable, yes I will tell the truth that is a bit of inconvenience, but if I don't want it I simply unhook it. which hence makes my little Acer Aspire one lighter.

THe lettering is very small at times and if you enlarge it it takes two pages or more to read.

I would like it to be a little faster but understand that it cant have all accessibility's of the desktop, but at time this one is slow and takes lil while to open pages but I am dealing with it.I feel this would be perfect gift for someone...
...

Theamazingtommy says "What is this!?" about Delstar Delstar DS700 7 in. Ultra Portable Netbook

I got this as a gift from a friend, I think he hates me. Windows CE! My iPhone pulls up websites faster then this thing. The plastic this thing is made of not suited for a happy meal toy. I am a IT manger, and I would not use this thing as a coster on my coffee table. It's good if you want to remember the days of Win95 and use IE4 (BTW we are now up to IE9) with your 60free AOL hours. There is a place in hell for this thing. I have to admit this would make a good gift for a child. A child that you hate. Just buy them a Wii and stop being cheap.
...

superdak says "Great System in a Small Package" about Asus Eee PC 16GB Intel 8.9 in. Netbook - Galaxy Black

I actually bought this just to see what the buzz was about, and to replace my huge 15" notebook. This makes the bigger notebooks seem huge and clunky. I was surprised that the battery in this actually lasts 4 hours.... that's big! The atom processor packs one heck of a punch, and is very powerful. No complaints at all! Even though 1gb of memory sounds skimpy, the ones loaded with XP perform extraordinarily well. I doubt I would want Windows 7 on anyways. The hard drive is big, keys are surprisingly normal-sized, and the display is really nice. This netbook is without a doubt no kids toy... a great system!
...

homeschooldad says "Outrageously Disappointing" about Acer Aspire One 10.1" Netbook - Red

I was so excited when I first opened up the shiny new red netbook, but the excitement faded quickly. The packaging is much better than the content. First, the glossy screen is strictly used for only an indoor mid to low lighting. The small keyboard keeps the big "ham fisted" guys like me away. The touch pad.........well enough said! The real bummer with the Acer Aspire One is the battery pack, the excessive heat, and the frying noise that it made before the netbook crashed (all within the first thirty days)! Sadly, the shiny bright "eye-candy" case provides little or no protection from any of life's bumps or jars. I do not recommend this "bite-size" product. Thank you.
...

Great Computer after few upgrades. i did a memory upgrade boosted it up to 2gig ram for thrity dollars and got an IHome wireless Mouse and Keyboard running it on my flatscreen after that who needs a desktop? 160GB hard drive and i never really have to worry about not having enough room. Full time college student always needing something small and effective and it hit it on the dime, one con is that the top is glossy and gets sumdges on it as well as scratches one thing i do reccommend is a protector for it. definently worth the price if you want something you can take along with you.
...

NaniV says "Aspire One Ultra thin notebook is totally great! " about Acer Aspire One UltraThin 10.1" Red

The Aspire One ultra thin Notebook is a great laptop! It has different login users great for privacy issues. Comes with instruction on little pad on how to move your finger around. very coool. It is also very very light and doesnt take much space at all! My hands are average small girl hands and this computer is like one hand high and two stretched hands wide. Its a great size laptop to take to college. it will be smaller and lighter than your binder if not equal. For me it has much storage space. i have hundreds of pictures and so many documents and it still works great. Im usually online when I'm using it and it works great you can zoom in and out of stuff with you little pad which makes things so much easier for me. It has hours of battery also. Sometimes i see the bar low and i click to see how much power i have left and find out i still have an hour or more. Overall i love it. i works great, runs great. and its a perfect computer for school and me!
...
