quicksilver159 says "best picture quality" about Samsung LN46A650 46 in. HDTV LCD TV

The Samsung 46" A650 is arguably one of the best tvs of its generation if not the best. It has everything you're looking for and when you see it in the store it just blows aways the competition. This tv makes you stop and take a second look. The picture is so amazing that it just jumps out at you and says buy me. You find yourself asking "is that a tv or am I looking through a window". Its that good! It also has a swivel which makes it convenient to pivot in any direction for ideal viewing angles. This was one of the first sets from Samsung to have the TOC or touch of color cabinet. Which means it has a soft red hue around the screen itselft. This tv looks as good off as it does on. The 650 also paved the way with 120hz technology which smooths out the action when a picture is moving quickly. This feature has become a must for anyone serious about purchasing a high definition tv today. I am hard pressed to find any faults in this ground breaking model from Samsung...
...

When we were looking for a new TV, we had no idea what we wanted. Once talking with the salesperson about different TV's, we decided to buy the Panasonic Viera 42 in. Plasma TV due to the price and how clear the picture was. When we arrived home with the TV it was very easy to set up and light to lift up. We have had this TV for over a year and never had any problems with it. My two little girls ages 5 and 3 can operate the remote without any problems. I have never loved a TV before until we bought this one. Extremely happy with it and would recommend it over and over. You wont go wrong purchasing this TV. This is a must have for your home, you will love it just as much as I do.
...

We bought the LG 47" Led tv on a Saturday for $1999.99...it went on sale on Sunday for $1299.99. Sears did a price adjustment on the Tv when we went to pick it up with no questions asked. What a deal. The TV picture is awsome and I am so happy with the fact that the screen has virtually no reflection on it from other sources in the room. Our 42" Plasma TV just died so..we wanted something different. This picture is comparable if not better than our plasma ever was! It looks great too! Best buy we have made in awhile.

On 10-31-09, my husband and I purchased a 46" Samsung television with the understanding we cannot get high definition in our area. We tried everything, switching Direct TV boxes, changing everything on the menu, even having a Direct TV technician come to the house to improve the image of the set. Nothing worked. We spoke to Brian, whom we bought the TV from, and told him of our problem.

Yesterday, 11-09-09, we returned the larger set in exchange for a 40" set. We couldn't be happier. We don't have crystal clarity picture, which we expected, but having the smaller set the imperfections we were seeing on the 46" set are minimal. Brian was also able to waive the restocking fee as per the department manager.

I've been a loyal Sears customer since the 80's and make all my large purchases at Sears. Once again I am very pleased with the service received from Brian (cudos), the quality of our TV and understanding and respect of your managers. Sears is #1 in my book for shopping...
...

I really like the clarity of this television. I've only owned it for about 6 months, but I've been very pleased with every aspect of this product. As an older person (57), I can also appreciate the light weight and convenience of movement with this new technology. I predict this brand will be the equivalent of the Sony merchandise. I've owned several Sonies, and this is definitely a stretch for me. I will definitely recommend this brand to friends and relatives who are interested in purchasing a new television.
...

I bought a 32" Panasonic LCD TV for my guest bedroom. I already own a 42" Panasonic plasma 1080p and love it. The LCD is only 720p, but the picture is decent when hooked up to cable. I just wish I had waited and gotten it in 1080p - the difference is very noticeable. But I love the sleek design of the Panasonic and it fits perfectly into the armoire. Set-up was very easy - I did it myself in about 10 minutes. Took me longer to put the stand on the TV than to perform the set-up instructions. I would definitely recommend this for a 2nd TV. And the cost was just what I wanted to spend (less than $500).
...

flaxer says "More quality, less money!" about Vizio - 47 in. (Diagonal) XVT Series 120Hz Full HD (1080p) LCD

I had been researching LCD TV's for months, and had my eye on this nice 120Hz TV from Vizio. When the price dropped a few months ago, I jumped on buying it. Leading up to my purchase I had read just about every review I could find online about this TV and the Vizio line in general. Most people either loved it, or else they had a major technical problem with the TV almost right away and had to have it repaired or simply returned it.

So far, this TV has not given me one problem at all. it has every feature I wanted in a TV, starting with the 120Hz refresh rate, and ending with the plethera of inputs I required for my home entertainment center. This TV comes with 4 HDMI inputs, Component, and VGA, plus S-Video and Composite. So I was easily able to hook up my upconverting DVD player, Xbox 360, and DirecTV HD DVR - all via HDMI, and I still had one more HDMI input for future upgrades. I've since recently bought a Wii and was easliy able to hook that up to the component input. I love the fact...
...

We're very happy with this TV. We've had it for a couple of months and it's great. It was half the price of many tv's, but we could barely tell the difference in picture quality in the story between it and the expensive ones and ... at home ... it's really nice.

No real problems setting it up -- both physical installation and cable hook up were easy.

We have a few games hooked up to it and also use the laptop connection all the time. We stream from the internet directly -- from the pc to the tv -- and also watch downloaded videos and -- it's seamless.
...

maoli says "PN58B650 plasma TV - good size, great color and black blacks" about Samsung - PN58B650

I originally purchased an LG 60PS60 plasma TV. It suffered the common problem of the Y buffer board going bad. This item was backordered for at least several weeks and rather than wait longer I asked and Sears graciously agreed to do an exchange. I really wanted the larger Samsung PN63B550 but at $3,300 it was way over my $2,000 budget. I decided on the PN58B650 which was slightly cheaper than the LG. I've been extremely happy with this unit. Compared to the LG, the colors are richer and more accurate (to my eye anyway) and the blacks are darker. Another big difference is the Samsung has superior anti-glare, anti-reflection. I have the TV in a large den/kitchen room and there is a lot of sunlight that comes in. I no longer have to change my viewing position to mitigate the glare/reflection. I haven't followed any regimen to avoid image retention (IR). I just selected the pixel shift mode and pretty watch whatever and haven't seen any IR. Lastly, some forums report...
...

I bought this 32 in. flat screen Proscan tv to use as a computer monitor, not as a tv , because I am loosing my sight and could not see my 20 in. flat screen monitor. This monitor has changed my life, I can see to use my computer again, and see some great pictures and graphics.

The price was right and the quality very high.I don't even have an antena hooked up to it ,so it will not be used as a tv..I work part time as a caretaker of a very nice beach front home, with the help of my wife of 58 years ( I'm 81 years old) and need to supplement my s.s. income, so we work some.

Thanks to your Suday add, where I saw this tv on sale I can again enjoy my computer.

finally decided to get cable service so we got the viera for our master bedroom. sleek design, fit perfectly on stand so we didn't need to mount it to the wall. only thing i might have done differently is that we decided not to pay for HDTV service so we did not need 1080p. coulda gotten 720p (whatever that number is) instead and saved a little money.

resolution is wonderful even without HDTV.

enjoy the fact that i can insert SD card in it to review photos/video as well. that was a bonus i didn't expect.

did my homework before buying the plasma TV and our choice was between the samsung and the panasonic. i think we would have been happy with either but the panasonic was still a great choice.
...

We purchased the Panasonic Viera 50 in. Plasma TV in March and have been extremely happy with it. I don't know anything about TVs...I only know that I needed to purchase a TV and I wanted to keep into my budget. This TV had been recommened to us by many people...but mostly our sons who keep up with this type of technology. The sales person that helped us was very knowledgeable and it made our decision much less stressful. My experience in purchasing this item was remarkfully enjoyable.

When price comparing, always remember to include Sears as they are quite compatable when it comes to price. Their sales people are not only polite but are able to answer any question to might have. This is why I found Sears to be outstanding.
...

I bought this Sharp - Aquos 37" 1080P HDTV from Sears on a one year no interest charge to my Sears card. We would have bought a slightly larger TV but this was the largest size my Ikea home entertainment center would fit. It was on promoa, plus we got another discount for buying over 32" tv. A discount I didn't even know about.

After over a year of use, we don't have any dead pixels. We had Dish Network when we 1st bought it, and was pretty disapointed with the picture quality. After we upgraded to Dish HD, we finally started getting great resolution.

We have now moved to an area where we can't get a signal. so for now we are on an over the air atenna. The HD picture is perfect.

We upgraded our DVD player to an upconverting type. My opinion is that a smaller TV with 1080P is a little sharper than a large tv. Someday this will end up in another room and will get the monster size.

I got it home, plugged it in, and loved it! I have never had a T.V. that is this clear and has this good of a picture. Even on regular channels (as opposed to HD channels) the picture is clear and colorful. I love how the controls are on the top of the tv and are hidden so that you have a smooth front of the tv. Watching movies is also a greeat experience on the Sharp tv. The 32" size may not seem big enough, but it is! It fits in my living room perfect!
...

I first saw this TV in the 46-inch model in ********. After many hours of researching TV vs. room size, I decided to go ahead with the larger 55 inch. I also noticed a big difference between the 6000 series and the 8000 series pictures. I chose the 8000 series.

I have had the TV for approximately 1 month. I could not be more pleased with my selection. It has all the features most people would ask for. The picture is absolutely superb.

When I started price shopping, I noticed ******** and HH Gregg going back and forth with their discounts from the MSRP of $3999. In addition, when I noticed the much lower price at Sears, it was a no-brainer. Sears delivered my TV when promised and set up was minimal.

One note... to have the sound be good from the TV speakers, be sure to use the graphic equalizer to adjust the sound to your liking.
...

pesty says "The most fantastic picture quality I have ever seen!" about Samsung - 55" LED model 6000

I recently purchased a Samsung 55" flat panel LED TV, model 6000. The qualities of this television are fantastic. The picture quality is indiscribable. It only weighs about 40 pounds so it can be safely mounted most anywhere and is only 1.2 inches thick with almost no distracting frame or border... just a beautiful picture. It comes fully assembled and has very clear labeling of what goes where. I am still learning about some of it's features but at present, it has a lot more than I expected. I love the ease of changing the picture to fill the entire screen when not watching High Definition. Sears had the lowest price and best service for this product and I would recommend both the TV and Sears for your next purchase.
...

raclatta says "Horrible compared to any other television." about Panasonic - VIERA 54 in. (Diagonal) Class 1080p 600Hz Plasma HD Television

In my experience the plasma has been a failing technology. Proof would be that the largest plasma dealer dropped it. PIONEER. Even with the 600hz the television has a poor picture. It's just an inflated number for people who don't know much about televisions. The plasma tv also weighs three times as much as LCD. Your energy bill will triple due to plasma. They have eliminated burn in but the cost is far greater. It excelerates the life span of the television when you wipe the burn in off with there new method. LCD and LED have continuously upgraded year after year. All plasma did was increase in size. It still produces an immense amount of heat and weighs a ton. The only help you'll get from plasma is tv/heater combo. You can watch and warm up at the same time. If you get plasma, definetly get the protection agreement. Without it, your tv has now become disposable.
...

taurusrae1 says "Can't wait!" about Samsung - 55 in. (Diagonal) Class LED Full HD (1080p) Television

I'm waiting on delivery of my new 46in LED samsung 1080.

I did not own a tv before and just watched a few movies and shows on my parents sd tvs. I work for a major sat company and decided I wanted to get a new TV. Since I'm not paying a couple hundred dollars for a brand new sd tv I decided I would not settle for anything less than full 1080 glorious hd.

I had already purchased a 46in lcd 1080 when I came back into the store to ask a question on the warranty with my friend. I came back in a different way and then I saw this LED tv and it was AWESOME. Even in the store with non-hd sources the picture was brilliant and very very smooth.

My new one is the 120hz, and while I wish they had the 46 in LED with 249hz available I honestly don't think I will notice too much of a difference. I want to hook mine up so I can play WOW on it along with other computer games and that my sister can use her Wii. I am in the process of getting HD receivers from Dish with either the Turbo HD packs or the gold...
...
