i enjoyed reading all of the harry potter books. i can't believe all the movies have been released. it is a good read for kids....

I READ THIS BOOK TO MY 4 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE LOVES BOOKS. I THINK I GOT MORE OUT OF THIS BOOK THEN SHE DID. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE LIFE LESSONS THIS BOOK HAD TO OFFER. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE. THIS BOOK REALLY MAKES YOU THINK (IF YOUR MIND IS OPEN). WE NEED TO LEARN THE LESSON IN THIS ONE. OUR WORLD IS GOING BY THE WAY SIDE WITH TAKING AND TAKING. HOPEFULLY, DOING THIS CHRISTMAS TIME WE HAVE LEARNED THAT GIVING IF BETTER THEN RECEIVING. THIS HELPS BALANCE THE WORLD. I DID APPRICATE THAT IN THE END THE BOOK CAME FULL CIRCLE. LIFE CAN DO THAT TO YOU. LEARN THE LESSON BEFORE IT'S TO LATE!...

Tabologist says "Be yourself" about A Bad Case of Stripes Books

This is a wonderful book to read to children who worry about what others think of them. Poor Camilla gives up lima beans because all her friends don't like them. She wants to fit in so badly that she denies herself of the things she likes. She develops a bad case of stripes all over her body. As children make fun and blurt names of colors, shapes,and things her stripes change to those things. Experts and specialists cannot find a cure for this strange illness. Only after Camilla decides to be herself and not worry about what others think, is she cured. This is a valuable lesson that can be learned by children of all ages!

A Note to Teachers: Camilla learns that it is ok to be different. It is inevitable that all students will encounter peer pressure at one time or another. This book can provide opportunities for discussions about diversity and the acceptance of others. Hopefully, students will be reminded that they cannot please everyone. It is more important to just be yourself!

Just picked up this sweet little book Fancy Nancy for my five year old niece and she now prefers us to call her Nancy. This book is so well written and the illustration's are darling. My niece loves looking at the pictures and enjoys sitting in her bed turning the pages and reading the story from memory. (obviously not word by word, but best she can remember).

I honestly never saw this book when my children were growing up, but I sure wish I could have read it to them. I would recommends this book for any child.

This book in the harry potter series is good for the kids to teenager's age range. With the mystery and exceiting storyline. Kind of hard to understand the acutral book it's an overall a delightfull read. You can not put it down at first, which is great for beginner's, of course.

The book A Bad Case of Stripes is my daughter's new favorite book. Her teacher read it to her during the first week of school (kindergaten) and she came home and talked about it for days afterwards. We had to go out and buy the book after that so she could read it at home. This is a cute book and a great addition to any child's home library or school or classroom library. This story is all about being yourself and being happy with who that is. A great lesson for any age child! I really think this is a book worth picking up!

The Giving Tree is a must read, must have book! Shel Silverstein's book can be read over and over again. It is the story about a tree that loves a little boy. The tree gives the little boy all he needs and wants. It is a cute story open to interpritation what if as good for small children as it is for older children. I received a copy of Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree when I was ten and another copy as a graduation gift when I grauated high school. I still have both copies, that is how good this book is!

I think this movie was good but a little too imaginative. Generally the characters were good but the main character is a bit disturbing. I guess its just entertainment for you.

...and I do so wish it were closer to the way things work in the real world than the misty-eyed fantasy it is. Caregivers to parents with terminal/progressive dementia will know where I'm coming from here immediately and with no explanation whatsoever. We may gather our slightly confused loved one into our arms and rock them gently in our oversized comforting chair with promises of everlasting and unconditional love for a long time. There comes the day, however, when the bedclothes have been soaked seemingly down to the frame for the fourth time within the past six hours and the obscenities flow fast and furious and with undeniable brain dysfunction but with enough retained "nobody else could know this about me but my parent" so that they cut clear down to the bone in spite of our reassurances to ourselves and all within earshot that it's just their disease talking...all this from those angelic mouths which once sung lullabies. The day comes when our longsuffering spouse finally...

Where the Wild Things are is definatley a classic. i loved this book when i was little and my baby does too. it is a wonderful book and is one of those that every child must read! i reccommend everyone to get this book. i read it to my boy over and over so its well worth the money,

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading the final installment of the Harry Potter book series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, now couldn't be a better time to grab this book and get to reading it. The movie is due out in the fall. JK Rowling did a remarkable job with this one. She never runs out of content and you'll be on the edge of your seat. You may even stay up all night reading it, it's highly addictive, and you just may not want to put it down!

I chanced upon this book one night twenty years ago while on a toilet paper run with my cousin. We were on vacation, at a little cottage on Lake Erie, and lo and behold, as is always the case when you have a house full of people, the tissue runs out at the most inconvenient times! Anyway, it was a Sunday night, and we were on a little peninsula and although I had known this particular cousin most of my life, we didn't really get to know one another until that t.p. trip.

We both had boys. Hers was 4, mine were 2 and 6, and we both loved to read to our sons. Her sister-in-law had given her "Love you Forever" and she had immediately fallen in love with it and recommended it as a bedtime read-a-aloud for my sons. It became one of my eldest sons favorites, especially since he was SO much like the little boy in the book. Additionally, the little verse that's repeated throughout the story became a lullabye between the two of us through the years. This book is such a connecting piece between mothers...
