Many special cameras were used to make this possible but in the end 3D was a fad and a couple scenes are a slow stab at the camera initially thinking it would appear as if "you" were being stabbed in your seat. Despite these couple scenes the movie and story flow well.</p> <p>Hondo was filmed entirely in Mexico in 100 degree heat giving a special terrain to the film. This was the first Hollywood film to start portraying Native Americans with a new respect of equals in battle, forgiveness and family. Now a historic memorial of Hollywood attitudes; the movie stands on its own as a quality movie.</p> <p>This is a must have for any western movie lover and an absolute need for the John Wayne fan.
